The biggest mistake people make is being a collector in general , you only need a max of 5 fragrances that will cover you in every situation, anything more than that just becomes consumerism

3,8 and 10 is most important imo
3 and 10 are kind of going hand in hand since it’s so important that every fragrance can smell on your skin different. I would actually skip testing it on strips and just test it on your own skin.
8 is also very important since collecting fragrances can get addicting very fast. If we are completely honest, fragrances like Dior sauvage are getting the job done. No need for a 40+ fragrance collection

I agree, especially your #1 tip don’t trust the advice of a fragrance influencer. I’ve been told certain fragrances are “beast mode” only to be disappointed by performance. Certain content creators are notorious for this. Gotta figure out who it is and take it with a grain of salt.
Yup! I have fallen for it too. Im also not immune! Thats why i just use their words as a guide and try my best to sample

Just blind bought a few days ago Amouage Interlude Man Black Iris, and it’s my first niche. Tbh Im glad I bought underrated fragrance such as Amouage and I fucking love it! I smelled pdm and xerjoff, really dont know whats the hype about, they smell good but Amouage is way above with uniqueness. Buy underrated fragrances bois dont go after hype is my advice

Bri get Dior Sauvage Elixir it will cover all your bases. Just spray less in summer and watm days

Great tips. I try something 3 or 4 times and focus on what I dont like about the fragrance. 95% of the time I wont buy it. After those times if I love it I will buy it. I own very few. If I told you how I store them you would think its over the top I want extremely even temperatures!! It will be interesting to see you review long term those Maksim perfumes in december or later. They have had time to mature. Burberry Hero smells completely different in winter. I bet those will smell different to. Excited to see that review!
That is a good way to go about it. No point buying a fragrance unless you love it!
I I actually just got a new one from Maksim and its the Oud Indochine and it is fantastic. They are very expensive but all smell crazy good quality. Im excited to wear all them when it gets a bit colder!
Not overbuying is so important! A lot of people probably have a shopping addiction disguised as a hobby. Take your time and sample.

Good tips. I made that blind buying mistake a while ago when I bought YSL y as my first fragrance. Everyone was saying how much they liked it but when I wore it, it made me sick. Too sharp and sweet for me, ended up returning it. Since then I’ve always sampled first and now I only keep 5-6 fragrances that I know I’ll use.
Its a very good to practice sampling first. I always hear about people being burned by blind buying so i emphasize it as much as possible
Agree with tip #1, as frag influencer has a more "developed" nose, their taste might not suit the overall masses 😉

I gotta say I consider you a reviewer more than a influencer, one of the last since everybody by these days wants to get rich promoting fragances and selling them, you on the other hand are different, your main focus seems to be helping people to make good decisions with your honest opinions, and that is why yours is the only fragance channel that I'm subscribed to, your honesty is your main asset, never lose it.
Regarding not buying from retail, great advise but sadly, kinda hard to do with brands like Chanel, BDC is probably my favorite fragance ever 🙄

And yes chanel are unfortunately not on discounters but i purchase them using reward points so i always got them discounted 😁

Question on Tip #3 "Try all fragrances on Skin & Tester". So I just got a bottle of Explorer, and i'm really confused on it. The smell disappears in 30 mins on skin and tester. 3 sprays on skin and tester.
Do you think it's the ambroxan that i'm going nose blind too? I'm going to let it macerate and return to it 4 months later.
Also, how does your explorer perfrom as of now?

The Explorer doesn't perform so well, unfortunately! But yes i would say its for sure anosmia. Try spraying a shirt and leave it in another room and return to it after 4 hours and see if you can smell it
Hi Chad, you are spot on. The other tip is the more fragrance you have the less quantity you need. These days I seldom buy 100ml because if you have variety more is not better. Do not buy redundancy in perfumes. Do not panic buy even if something is discontinued there's still no need to buy 3 off even if its cheap or you love it, it will be waste of money. Be content with you have, buy only what you need and not try to be that guy that will compete to have the best of everything. If possible give or sell what you don't need.

What I learn after all these years is... Always buy a sample use it for some days on your skin and have an opinion later. And never test 2 perfumes at same day

Buying clones and cheap fragrances because of their price and them being tempting is a big mistake. I see a lot of redundant or just not used fragrances just because they are cheap, but they add up. I am not saying clones and cheapies don't have a place, just be careful with them.

Living in the US I was shocked to learn that FragranceBuy ships to the where I live.

The new ADG Parfum with the magnetic cap is very close to profumo. The one without magnetic cap is the 2024 version and its better!

What is the sweet spot for sprays for stronger fragrances, like club de nuit limited or ysl y edp? It would be nice for it to last the whole day but I don't want it to be overpowering like you mentioned in the video.
Inner wrist, Inner elbows and back of the neck. You can obviously put some on the side of your neck and chest but with a strong fragrance I wouldn’t put it there, unless you wanna go nose blind to it.
Club de nuit is very strong. So strong that you may not even notice! I usually dont use more than 5 sprays of that one and it lasts all day.
I will make an in depth guide on how to spray fragrances asap!
Good advice. Pulse points are great for projectiom but dont skip on oily areas without pulse for that longevity 👌
