You guys are so incredibly lucky you got the outer edges of this instead of the full force cause that place would have gone up like a pack of cards. I cant believe how calm you all stayed, i was in my basement when an F4 tore my entire neighborhood apart and i had to stay calm because i had my kids but it took everything i had and i was in a basement! Definitely good people to have in emergencies that's for sure! I'm happy you are safe!
I am so happy you guys got the he'll down and out of the yard that was as close as a shave with all that lumber around that was close, you all live another day
Thank god you are all okay. When those sirens go off here in Owensboro I panic because the house we are in dose not have a basement. We have to go in the hall.
Definitely not a direct or near direct hit from a tornado. Those trees outside never moved an inch, swayed side to side, sucked or blown one way or the other. And they're the same before the "tornado" starts as they are after. Looks to me like, from the video I see, just an incredibly hard downpour. Glad everyone and everything is safe and it was a miss.
I'm sorry, but like someone said, those trees never moved. And they had open gaps in the ceiling. If that had been a Tornado, that roof and those trees would have been ripped apart. What you had was called a downspout. A sudden dumping of rain . Might have some wind, that looked like maybe 50 mph to 70mph. There was no inflow. Downspout.
03_02_12 this was the beginning of a tornado that destroyed my hometown west liberty ky. It was an f3 to f4 on the ground for 92 miles. You can look up the old news reports. This was a tornado.....they got the outter winds from it.
Your wrong look up west liberty ky 3/2/12 destroyed my hometown. West liberty ky was an f3 to f4 on the ground for nearly 92 miles. I think in this video this was the winds from miles away..... but 10 years later my town is still traumatized from this outbreak. We also has an f2 go thru Feb 28th 2012.... theirs many videos and news posts on thus
Well where else were they supposed to go? Were they supposed to stand outside with their arms by their side? What would you do in that scenario, enlighten me! Let me guess find a non-existent ditch somewhere and lay down in it? People like you don't use intelligence, they let their mouth do the thinking.
There is almost 0 chance this was a tornado. It lasted far too long and the wind direction never shifted. This was a derecho or a down burst. Both cause winds like that.
When you hear the older guys say, it'll follow the river that's scary. Scary thing is that they believe it. Just like saying, our towns down in a bowl, we will never get hit. Ignorance is bliss
Speaking of ignorance, sounds like you need to just shut up and move along, I mean...who cares what he said. It's scary to think that idiots like you will never keep their nonsense opinions to themselves, especially ones that hide behind a keyboard because they would never say it to said person's face. You will probably say the same about me only because you know that I am right.
He thinks an eye of tornado is like an eye of a hurricane. Tornados are quick, you don't necessary have a pause in the eye, rather it's one constant swirling wind rush.
You guy's wasn't in the actual tornado dude. I heard you saying that y'all were in the eye of the tornado but you was no in any tornado at all. Not saying they wasn't a tornado around, it just didn't hit that building because even a EF-0 tornado would have done some damage to that warehouse because for 1, it was entirely open. But good video nonetheless.
I lived in Owensboro outside and there was a big windstorm it was a 100mph windghust I got blowed away it was on southwest that storm was hudge I watched 14news it came from Henderson to Owensboro it was a big hudge red storm the trees were shaking soo really really I'm mean really bad
In my opinion this may have been either a downburst, or the beginning of a tornado. It's very hard to tell, but apparently 99.9 percent of the people who viewed This video who weren't there think they know better
I want to know who built that warehouse lol yeah bro I think you may have just caught the edge of that tornado other wise there wouldn't be anything left stranding
That structure looked like one that could easily have been taken down by the tornado. You are fortunate.

@Vanessa Woodall Where were you located at the time of the ef4 hitting your neighborhood? That sounds terrifying, glad y'all were in the basement.
Thank god you are all okay. When those sirens go off here in Owensboro I panic because the house we are in dose not have a basement. We have to go in the hall.
Places I don't want to be during a tornado:
1. Glass factory
2. Lumber yard
I can't imagine a scarier place to ride out a tornado than a flimsy warehouse with pre-staged lethal-sized debris.
Looks like a downburst to me. That probably caused the huge amount of rain blowing in the building 😮
Put my money on a microburst.
you just lost it.
It was an EF0 over open field
@@stormchaserkst4496 well shit fire 🔥. I only put a dollar on it. EF0 it is.
@@catfishhunter6547 I like to play it smart. I wager nothing.

Every time I hear tornado sirens my heart rhythm picks up speed from fear adrenaline. BTW that sudden downpour was ferocious.
You weren’t in the eye of a tornado

Looks like a rain-wrapped tornado initially, then it becomes more visible.
I'm sorry, but like someone said, those trees never moved. And they had open gaps in the ceiling. If that had been a Tornado, that roof and those trees would have been ripped apart.

I believe your right tho i bet it was just as scary, i think i rather deal with a hurricane but not close up ..

People who weren't there think they know better than the guy who filmed it, you guys must have the IQR 600, right?
As I suspected, no Tornado report in Owensboro for that date..downspout

Taking cover in a sheet metal shed.........in a tornado. God humans are intelligent.

I mean I’m not sure where you wanted them to go? They should have used that lumber and quickly thrown up a structure with a basement in it I guess.

holy crap thats my hous in the background!
You guys were really brave! Thanks for sharing.
Incredible. Really a long track.
hi...I was in this tornado outbreak and the nov. 17, 2013 outbreak as well. both here in michigan and it was pure hell on earth!

Yep, that’s like saying WVA is nothing but mountains and they don’t get hit by tornadoes 🌪, yes they do!
He thinks an eye of tornado is like an eye of a hurricane. Tornados are quick, you don't necessary have a pause in the eye, rather it's one constant swirling wind rush.
Tornadoes have an eye, but it's very small and no one will ever experience it.
You can take this to the bank:
"It's going right over us now!". It isn't.
"We're actually IN the tornado!" They aren't.
amazing. it sat/settled (remained stationary) on them for a bit
I think its amazing this is Trent from Kansas uncle toms nephew
i was setting on jackson st when this happened last year watched it go right by
No tornado

It was probably just forming and was a funnel when it passed by.
Scary stuff, glad they were safe
That was on you guys quick
When the sirens stop, take cover STAT, guys!😬
“The wind can’t get in here”.
HA!
I KNOW THAT THIS WAS THE MOST WORST KENTUCKY TORNADO OUTBREAK EVER!!!!
