If you're changing to another type of coolant, remember to drain the Engine Block too, the petcock/drain Valve for the block coolant is located under the inlet manifold👍👍 AND do remember not to use a coolant that exceeds a mixing of over 70% ethylene glycol.

I noticed something strange though - when i make the rotations somethimes the belt gets a bit loose on the right side where the idler and oil pump are. Sometimes it stays tight. The marks stay on spot however and the engine starts and seems to run ok. Im wondering if thats fine or i need to adjust something.

What did you use the cover the top of the cylinder? - "in order not to miss a tooth". It looks like tissue paper.
And by replacing the water pump, wouldn't it be necessary to drain and top up the coolant? if so, how much coolant to use.

    • @browndave3144

Justin Lee I removed plugs so none of the cylinders could sit on compression to help it not skip a tooth and tissue paper just to stop anything falling down the plug holes. As for fluid amounts I got them of the web off spec sheets can't remember the exact amounts.

Now i have everything in the car... i changed the timing belt and lined up all the marks correctly... But i am unable to turn the cam by hand/rachet more than 1/4 Rotation... do you know why this is happening. Did i need to take the Rocker cover off and cam pulley off First(i just rotated it back to 0 as it was 8 teeth out with the Crankpully on 0 as you demonstrated). I haven't tried to turn it any futher as i thought i may cause some damage.
