So glad this is on UA-cam cause I blacked out and don’t remember like half the concert🤘🤪😔
I remember how cold it was that night. It took forever to get an Uber out of city park. It was long arse walk back to the French Quarter.
@@KennethJames7273 right! Temp dropped like super fast!
Foo Fighters are the most bad ass band without a doubt.
Easily 110%!!
Best night of my life. Had strep throat and 103 fever, still had an amazing time. These dudes are legends and Dave grohl knows how to work a crowd. They sound great live and put on one hell of a show.
Foos are playing better right now than they have in their entire career. AWESOME STUFF.
Rip Taylor.
when dave pulls out the gold drop D you know its time...
Ya, or they play Monkeywrench instead
I can hear every single instrument very clearly...thank you!
this was my first foo fighters concert. it was an amazing experience even tho i couldn't get an uber or taxi and walked 2.5 hours back to my hotel after...
snapascrew Uber after that concert was nuts... Cost me 14 bucks to get to the concert... It was 73 to get back to my camp ground lol.
"glad" to see i wasn't the only one who got some major issues on the way back from the show lol…..and it was so damn cold! whatever, they were great!
Should have just hopped on the Buses like we did. Still took over an hour to get back downtown and to Bourbon, but at least we were sitting and riding the whole time.
I figured it would be a uber serge I left before the set was over
We waited about an hour for the trolley to take us to canal street were in our hotel room in under 2 hours.always use the trolleys
RIP Taylor
My sister and I were at this concert! We started off at the back, but I've got this weird innate knack for moving through crowds, and maneuvered us until we were only about thirty or forty feet from the stage. We were freezing even in the middle of the crowd but it was totally worth it to be that close. After the concert was done, we went to Bourbon Street, and got shitfaced drunk. Fun times in New Orleans.
Dave Grohl is the heart of today's rock'n'roll scene. What he does, all the stuff to keep the spirit alive is incredible. Maybe he doesn't know, but he's already among those who will be remembered for long, like Jimi, Jimmy, Freddie, Lemmy, Chris Cornell, Liszt or any influential rock'n'roll star of his/her own age, who made kids just follow the path, while what Dave does is to keep their spirit alive. He keeps the family together, and he does it really good. True legend.
Was so fucking excited to be in the crowd with my fiancée that night. She’s seen them before but it was my first time. Even though it was only an hour and a half, it was the best concert I’ve ever been to in my life. All I can say was that I felt so connected with the music they played. Listening to them while growing up I had always wanted to see them. It only took me 20 fucking years. But being only 22 I’ll cut myself some slack haha
Love it Nate! Love you had a fuckin ball! Love reading your comment. 👍🏻
Taylor's setup is awesome here
My very first show! I got there at 11 AM and stayed up front the entire day to hold my spot. They didn’t go on until 9 PM! So worth it....amazing show! I enjoyed it so much that I came home and bought tickets to their show in Bossier City in April. I can’t get enough!!!!!!
Did you ever pee?
My son is "the Kid". Me and his dad weren't there at VooDoo.
But we went to Bossier!
@@katrinajohnson9241 I still think of “The Kid” and hope he’s doing well.
@@boofert.washington2499 not once! And I will never be able to that again
This was my first FF experience and pray it won’t be my last! They were electric even if you aren’t a fan at the start; you will leave a fan! The video is amazing but not nearly as kick ass as this was live!
Traveled all the way down from Washington State for this weekend down in New Orleans... VooDoo Fest, Bourbon St, the food, Saints and Bears game... it was one Helluva bad ass memorable weekend and worth it all.
David Grohl, one of the best humans on earth. Was at this show for Voodoo, and I almost got teary eyed when he was talking about New Orleans. Long live NOLA
Never heard this version of rope before, but i always enjoy watching dave and taylor play of each other
Ruben Spoolder they’ve been doing it more frequently. It’s awesome to see them having fun. I suppose it breaks it up for them so it doesn’t become monotonous.
My favorite version of Rope!!!!
yall were fucking amazing at voodoo fest! come back next year!!
That "Stairway to Heaven" tease before "Monkey Wrench" was hilarious
His voice is shot from the beginning and he's still bringing it.
LOVE the long jams!!
We were there!
Great channel
Awesome concert and a great way to warm us up in the cold. Can't wait til you get to Houston in April. Finally got a chance to take my son to one of your concerts.
I was front row and it was fucking amazing.
Blastin this onto my TV right now! Thanks for sharing videos!🤘🏼
I love them all!!!
You guys are awesome.✌👍
thank you so much for releasing this xo my fave band and my fave stage! the big black monster
Can,t wait to see you in Quebec !!!!! :D
Great show! Great band! Rock n Roll lives!
Whoever you are and wherever you are I just wanna thank you for this channel. This band is all my life (😉 got it?) and your uploads are just fucking awesome.
Kudos ✌️🤟
This was so much fun. Being there was worth the weekend.
So awesome, Thank you
greatest frigging band ever !!!!!
Fucking fantastic. Thanks for the show!
they do an awesome job live. one of my favorite bands. however I went to the same festival in 2014 and they played close to the same exact set. many bands do this, I know.
They added 3 new songs and switch up the rarities alot
He wasn’t wrong it was cold AF but you were warm by the end 🤣 🤘🏻
No kidding. I was front row freezing my ass off sweating at the end of the set
The concert was great! I waited 9 hours just to get a good spot up front. I brought my skull mask ;3
And totally worth the wait!
Were you the one with the homemade mask made from cereal boxes?
Dogeyy Doge Hell yeah. I camped as well. One of the best nights of my life.
Dogeyy Doge how did you urinate hermano?
Great show!
first time i visited NOLA i knew i wanted to live there. 2nd time confirmed it. NOLA tugs your heart right in! Dave nails it 58:00
A Monday night......me Jack & Coke...and the Foo Fighters! Yep, I am happy! Jamming out & dreaming of my next real Foo concert in July!
captivating SOB that grohl
can't wait for manchester!
George Rudd yes mate!
Damn Taylor...auditioning for a front man gig?? (under pressure)
OMFG I CAN HEAR PAT SO GOOD!!!!
Just found out my Naval Officer Son was at this concert, his 65 year old Mom is so J...
Era mais que um show, e sim uma experiência.
Yeah they haven't even peeked yet for a new band. lol I kid I kid. I remember seeing The Foos on there very first tour in 95. William was drumming then. Seems like yesterday . The crowd was crazy that night. All ages show. People were swinging upside down from the ceiling. Sp ????
I think you can judge a good crowd by “best of you”. We’ll show you how to do it when the guys come to Manchester next year.
This was an awesome concert but I wish they could’ve cut the jams due to the short set time. They could’ve fit 3-4 more songs in.
if you just want to hear a song, listen to the cd....this is a live performance...you go for these moments
Here at home: Grand Opening of Fillmore New Orleans&kicks off Mardi Gras! Fillmore East/Fillmore West music venues, I'm old, can reminisce them.Fillmore-NOLA is built in Harrah'Casino.Lights like Trump casino on acid. Foo Fighters, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave 2/15 then Foo Fighters&Preservation Hall Jazz band 2/16. Sold out, tickets $571-$1,031 sold out so fast, we missed it.
Loved the entire show, and particularly that (lovely) Queen's Under Pressure.
Who was this guy, playing drums?, doing it really great. Couldn't understand well all Dave's words introducing him. He is son of other musician..., as I could listen to. And the drummer singing that song was incredible.
The entire show was. No matter if they do those dragging, jams, etc. Sure it was all an experience there.
Descanse en paz, el pobre batería, Taylor.
Is Rufus Taylor, son of Roger Taylor the drummer of Queen
Dam I can't wait til may 4th.

I was there
He's been screaming for almost thirty fuckin years so don't talk about "OMG,he cracks his voice at screaming part".. remember, Dave always save his breath for you.
Fucking A !! Im handicapped, but i would love to go front row 😎
Cant wait for Foo Fighters NYC in July !
This years voodoo was a lackluster line up outside of the foo fighters. They charged more for Saturday as they had LCD sound system and the killers headline the other days. The festival should have made up for it with a longer foo show for sure. Live and ice cube played before them and the rest locals, crystal castles cancelled that day. A lot of people payed $100-$160 to see them for an hour and a half.
matt this lineup was amazing. You just don’t like rap or edm
Kendrick Lamar headlined the day before. Brand New (on their farewell tour), Calvin Harris, and Prophets of Rage were a few other notable names on the lineup. The Kendrick fans were the ones who really got ripped off. He started late and finished early.
OKIE DOKIE ARTICHOKIE!!! 18:00
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Okie Dokie Artichokie!
In Walk, Dave lost their breath in the screaming part.
Glad you enjoyed the concert
/s
I didn't know the guy from Modern Family played bass in the FF
When did they get the "oh Johnny" girls? Not used to back up singers. Sounds like a Black Keys song somehow. The Sky in a Neighborhood that is.
Hawkins...man...
Does anyone know what guitar pat is using during The Sky is a Neighborhood?
Daves voice
Anyone know what kind of Gibson Pat Smear is playing??
If its the 3 HB yellow gibson, hes had it for yrs and yrs
Oh its a SG style
Who is on Taylor's drum?
His parents
38:10 WTF :DDD
Someone forgot to mic the bass drum
Crafts

What makes pat smaer in this band

Fyi on everlong they should all sing the last verve wan tiyme evry bc dey all no
Nobody is going to acknowledge the fact that there's only one fuck1n6 flag there and that is a Colombian one?
ANDRES FELIPE LADINO ESPITIA too busy to walk around carrying my Brazilian flag..
59:54 American Flag flying high above everything.
Not gonna lie the crowd was quite lame throughout. I got called a deuchbag just for headbanging and throwing the horns out. But throughout the whole festival not much movement anyways I guess people just like to stand completely still in their bubbles. Not even any mosh pits. Kinda disappointing.
Ryan France you should have gone to Prophets of Rage.. That's where the mosh was at
it was freezing out
Naw not in that mass of people
Should have poked people in their eyes with your “horns” :oD \w/
Mosh pit are you serious? Dude it's the fuckin Foo fighters not Mudvayne or Lamb of God. Seeing a mosh pit at a concert like that is expected.
Love em to death! Sound on this is terrible though...
"Hey! They gave us only an hour and a half to play so let's do a nine minute version of The Pretender and a 12 minute version of Rope!" I fucking hate those long jams.
yeah.. god forbid you see musicians having fun on stage.. Just be happy they still enjoy playing and jamming with each other so much and don't go fucking wining about their set list choices.. sjeeess..
While I think Voodoo should’ve given them 2 and a half hours like in 2014, it doesn’t help they drag out half of their songs.
Yvonne Vermey dude isn’t whining. I love the Foo Fighters and they kill it every show. But they easily could’ve fit 3-4 more songs in this set if they didn’t drag out half of their songs.
While I understand the sentiment, I really enjoyed it. Just as much as I did in 2014 if not more. I'd rather have the Foos, doing what they do and how they do, for an hour and a half, then an abridged version of their live show. I didn't feel cheated. I thought it was incredible.
Prophets of Rage played the same amount of songs in one hour... And their songs are usually longer..
The crowd is so lameeee
we were all high, drunk, and tired, my man
William Kline nahhh compare concerts from Europe and those mother fuckers sing along loud for 2hrs
That's correct ;-) I am from germany and have been to numerous Foo shows here. This was my first US show of the Foos and the crowd really was lame compared to Germany/Europe. But: I have to admit it was really freaking cold troughout the whole day!
Not all of us were lame
Taylor was being over worked. Doing backing vox and playing those drums just as hard a Dave does. Takes a big toll on your body and Taylor's just gave out. He needed a break😢
Be alot better Dave without all the f bombs . I just don't understand why with all the comics and now the rock stars it just degrades the awesome talent y'all have it makes it a drag trying to cover my kids ears every 5 seconds .
I fucking never heard Dave talking any other freeking fucking way for the last 20 years, so why start complaining about his language now? Oh, wait.. you have kids now.. :-( . (Who probably will be fucking there way through your language pretty soon, so why bother?)
Then don’t take your kid to a rock concert lmao
why'd you take your son to a music festival if youre gonna complain about cursing? you dont care about the drugs?
Ask Dave if he talks that way at home around his girls ! I bet he don't . Why should he talk that way around my kids . Thank God for Pete Thorn and Tim Pierce at least my kids and I can enjoy playing and learning mucic together without the vulgarity. We still love the Foo Fighters music and we can play alot of there songs . I have been a working musician for 40 years and I will play until I die . Music is very powerful and can go one way or the other so we will just take the other. The end:-)
Maybe your kids should grow some balls
If they didn't drag every fucking song out for 11 minutes they could play a lot more.
Lo cagaron a pedos a Rami
RIP Taylor
