Celestia reached Utsuho, the Final Boss of one of the considered HARDEST of all Touhou Series, without using up all her Continues... That takes SKILL, so she's not all bad as this video shows...
You may argue that it's "Easy Mode"... Well, still many people do bad at Easy mode...

...you seem to be unable to comprehend how overpowered each character in these games are. Utsuho happens to be one of the WEAKER stage 6 bosses. Yuyuko can kill literally anyone or anything barring complete immortals like Kaguya and Mokou, Remilia can manipulate fate and destiny, and Junko can reduce you into atomic particles WITHOUT the use of nuclear fusion. And lets not even get started on the Extra bosses. Flandre can destroy any and everything, Nue can become your deepest darkest fear, Yukari is practically on a level all her own, Mokou cannot die by any means and she has been training her body for a millennium, Suika can tear apart mountains like tissue paper and create black holes, and Koishi can appear anywhere at any moment and can possibly drive you insane by influencing your subconcious. Hell, there are 3rd and 4th stage bosses who can utterly annihilate nearly any other character. Keine can manipulate history to the point that she can erase any evidence of your existence from a timeline. Reimu is stated to be so monstrously powerful that the only reason that spellcard rules are in place is because if they WEREN'T, she would win against ANY youkai without fail.
Its frankly insulting to think that a digimon could defeat all Touhou characters.
C'mon Celestia, take lessons from Luna or something.

1) her opponent ate sun god and can destroy a planet and she's IMMORTAL
2)even if celestia send her to the moon she could just blow up the moon and fly back (or get help from yukari)
3)if celestia stab her she would die from the radiation in her body
4)And the last one if she send her to the sun , she will become stronger.
Not even element of harmony can help her

Utsuho can simply turn the entire realm of Esquestria into a hell due to her ability, and with no spellcard rules to stop her, nothing could beat her. Saying that Celestia can send her to the moon are just plain idiots, since Utsuho can easily destroy it with no problem. The senario will be like Broly fighting the Z fighters without Broly dying at the end.
Utsuho is also only slightly smarter than Cirno…so?

In my book Celestia lost to Chrysalis in a single hit, couldn't beat Nightmare Moon and didn't bother with Discord, so I bet even Cirno would beat her.

I am surprised that people are disregarding about the spell card rules as utsuho's powers and abilities are limited with only a few minutes some of her broken spell cards are even less. Not only the time but the amount of power she emits are limited. So if there are no spell cards rules, it will make her 10 times powerful since she can use her powers without limits of time and amount. Now, for some of you have said that Celestia can teleport behind utsuho and stab him. No, she can't even get close to utsuho due the the fact that she can blast thousands of stars, atomics, mini suns around her. Wait! Thousands are too less due to the fact that spell cards rules are off and no limits. I am gonna say millions! In order for celestia to even get close to her, she must be able to dodge rain. Not to mention that utsuho has a spell card called abyss nova which incinerate her surrounding and cause massive destruction. In touhou hisoutensoku, it's her best spell cards causing fatality. So teleporting won't work on her. And if you say, "oh reimu beat utsuho as well and she uses her teleport. Okay, first thing reimu got help from Yukari and has the ability called graze which pass through any objects and she ace at dodging probably one of the best dodger in touhou. Not to mention she has tons of barriers to counter utusho's attack and her fighting speed is beyond utsuho as well. Anyways back to the point, some said celestia can send utsuho to the moon. So? Utsuho can blow up the moon easily. There's no feats but her powers proves it. Let's look through her spell cards:
Blazing Star "Fixed Star": She blast out 6 stars and the moon is not that big, I am sure this spell card is enough to destroy the moon.
Atomic Fire "Uncontainable Nuclear Reaction: An unbreakable chain of reactions, looping forever.
(Unlimited chain of reaction surrounds Utsuho, Yes unlimited, so Celestia can't even get close to this and this chain will continue forever.)
This is even worse Explosion Sign "Mega Flare"
A cascade of explosions(millions of red giant), shrinking as they travel.
If you look too far ahead, escape seems impossible. Plan for the gaps that will appear. Imagine wat will happen if she use PETA FLARE which is billion times stronger than that. And only gaps can escape, meaning YUKARI'S GAPPING POWERS! Not teleport. Unless Celestia can teleport far far away that ending up withdrawing the battle. and I did mention Reimu can teleport as well but reimu did continue without withdrawing because gensokyo was at risk ;) but the fact that she borrows yukari yakumo(strongest being in touhou)'s power made her win. So in here, Celestia is traped and all she could do is teleport far away and escape. So she can only run unable to do anything but I wonder how long can run from her attacks?
Mega = (1 million), Giga = 1 billion, Peta = 1 quadrillion
"Hell's Tokamak: 2 ginat red star, I want to call it red giants and thousands of tiny red star she blasts. This is enough to blow up the earth and logically Utsuho's full power can blow up the entire solar system.
Nuclear Heat "Uncontainable Dive": Propels herself using a massive amount of fusion energy in this massive attack. Races back and forth across the screen many times to hit the enemy in multiple places.
She heats up her body and dash through their opponent with speed. (This also makes her speed multiple times faster)
"Subterranean Sun" This is where utsuho becomes as hot as the sun and turn into a shape like that. She creates a massive gravity which even light can't escape. And when celestia gets into it. She will be incinerate fast into nothing. The reason why Reimu dodged this because there was a time limit and the ability graze which makes everything passable around her and makes her invincible similar to fantasy heaven except no attacks. If there is no time limit, it will suck up all the planets in the entire solar system, the more it sucks, the bigger it is and the bigger, the massive it is. It will create a huge supernova that it is possible to destroy an entire galaxy or more. If only there was no time limit! Utsuho can do all of those. This spell card in subterranean animism, Reimu couldn't do anything but to wait until the time limit. So there's no way celestia can stop it.
And that's not all the spell cards she has! I just mentioned some important ones!
Anyways, celestia can't control all celestial objects only the moon and the sun, even she managed to do so utsuho can incinerate all of it. Some may say "oh celestia can control utusho's attack and reflect it back to her" Well, it won't work because utsuho is immune to her own attacks. She is able to live in the core of the sun which makes and durable extremely high. Plus most of her attacks are not solid objects, it's similar to energy blast.
And for some say she's immortal, she's not like mokou or kaguya. Her immortal means eternal life doesn't mean she can't die. She can die just like remilia. She may be immune to radiation but she will be incinerate or melt down by the massive heat of utsuho's attacks.
Extra facts: Utsuho has the power to regenerates so 1 stab won't kill her.
As for speed: Touhou characters like Utsuho of course have superior fighting speed than Celestia and probably all other mlp characters. So meaning utsuho has all the superiority and faster in long range and short range attack. And she better be good at dodging also it won't last long For moving speed meaning moving from 1 direction to other, Utsuho's regular speed is not speed of light but she can at least keep up with reimu who can keep up with remilia. And remilia orbit the moon in a few seconds. Idk how fast celestia is but utsuho ain't slow. Plus she has some spell card that powers up her speed multiple times.
*Oh and btw, all the spell cards about I am sure without spell cards rules it's multiple times more powerful and more amount of it will be activated. Wat I just used is the regular information during the spell card rules so it's probably more than that.
So I say utsuho wins unless spell cards rules is on
Last thing, during the spell cards rule reimu alone can't win Utsuho which proved that she relies on yukari's help. But without spell card rules restrictions, Reimu can win using her fantasy heaven which makes her literally invincible. See how powerful touhou characters can become without spell card rules?
Well said, I totally forgot about the spell card rules and didn't look through the spell cards. Yes, Utsuho could have won Reimu without yukari's help but her fantasy heaven is just op. Anyways, Utsuho beat celestia easily and I am surprised that u can come up the fact the utusho can destroy the solar system o.o but true supernova is strong enough to bust the solar system.

Actually, Utsuho would've won even if Celestia attacked with all her might because she controls Nuclear Fusion. Celestia can only control the sun, so, Utsuho would've been a BIG problem for her.
The sun in Equestria is tiny too.
See, what people don't understand is that Okuu isn't just a sun goddess. She can manipulate the atomic particles of a nuclear radiation. She could easily cause Celestia's atoms to react with each other. Or inflict a severe level of radiation poisoning onto her.
Just to put the arguments to rest:
The pony is playing a game. Like every playable character, they have their basic attacks, and their bombs. Since magical kawaii pony!!!!tm is playing the game and not fighting Okuu in real life, she can't even stab her, because in video game logic, touch the boss and you're dead. I doubt she can even use the mystical elements of friendship (xD :3 rawr) in the game. If anything, her bomb would be something different. If she were a certain shrine maiden, magician, maid, half phantom, or rabbit, who knows? Maybe she'd actually win.

Well, Touhou is battle (and party) oriented world. A little practice - and Celestia can be a nice stage 6 boss. As long as her attacks will be more creative then hornbeams and harmony strike.

Having the power to move the Sun, Celestia could likely have just thrown that out of the way (or back at Utsuho). She could arguably be said to be significantly higher than Utsuho in terms of raw power. However, Utsuho would be the one to win the fight despite that.
Why?
Because of an endless rain of billions and billions and trillions of bullets, that's why. And because Celestia's from MLP, this would be one-life, no continues--and *nobody* can just beat Utsuho on Lunatic on their first try without dying. I'm pretty certain it is as close to physically impossible that something can be without actually be without being fully impossible.
With that ending, I pictured Tracer playing Sonic the hedgehog with D.Va sitting next to her saying 'Come on! That was easy mode'

The UFO mechanic can indeed be highly beneficial to resources once you begin to learn good UFO routes, but making even a small mistake on the route can hinder resource collection considerably.
On top of that, Lunatic Mode can really bring Touhou 12 above the rest if you don't have good mastery over UFO routes.
The advantages of having fingers are getting rather apparent.
Frankly, I love touhou. But based on what little I know about MLP, I'd still put my money on Celestia, given that she has centuries of experience using sun powers over Utsuho, and isn't a birdbrain. Now Celestia vs *Yukari* (edit: or Kanako), that I'd love to see. I'd also love to see Marisa in Equestria because the resulting shenanigans would be hilarious.

Impalement would actually not end well with Celestia, if the Gameplay Mechanics are implemented...
In this game(Or any other danmaku games), when you touch the enemies, you die... And the bosses here can survive Absurdly HUGEASS LASER(See "Master Spark"), and that certain laser is much worse than what was used to banish NMM...
Also, take notice of the game's HUD... Power is "0"(Too much bombing?), Celestia's attack would be much more bigger than that if she collects some power points...
That won't work, if celestia teleports to her she will most likely be incinerated by her suns, stars, flare, atomics or her spell card called abyss nova which incinerate all her surrounding with the same temperature of the core of the sun. All of her attacks has the same temperature of the sun. An a stab won't work on Utsuho, Utsuho has an high durability of heat, she can live in the core and she can regenerate as well. Even Reimu have a hard time against her that she had to get help from others. Utsuho is a Yatagarasu which is known as god of the sun. She can destroy the solar system. Lol, if she controls the sun and the moon she destroys them. I have all my details explained already.
"I am surprised that people are disregarding about the spell card rules as utsuho's powers and abilities are limited with only a few minutes some of her broken spell cards are even less. Not only the time but the amount of power she emits are limited. So if there are no spell cards rules, it will make her 10 times powerful since she can use her powers without limits of time and amount. Now, for some of you have said that Celestia can teleport behind utsuho and stab him. No, she can't even get close to utsuho due the the fact that she can blast thousands of stars, atomics, mini suns around her. Wait! Thousands are too less due to the fact that spell cards rules are off and no limits. I am gonna say millions! In order for celestia to even get close to her, she must be able to dodge rain. Not to mention that utsuho has a spell card called abyss nova which incinerate her surrounding and cause massive destruction. In touhou hisoutensoku, it's her best spell cards causing fatality. So teleporting won't work on her. And if you say, "oh reimu beat utsuho as well and she uses her teleport. Okay, first thing reimu got help from Yukari and has the ability called graze which pass through any objects and she ace at dodging probably one of the best dodger in touhou. Not to mention she has tons of barriers to counter utusho's attack and her fighting speed is beyond utsuho as well. Anyways back to the point, some said celestia can send utsuho to the moon. So? Utsuho can blow up the moon easily. There's no feats but her powers proves it. Let's look through her spell cards:
Blazing Star "Fixed Star": She blast out 6 stars and the moon is not that big, I am sure this spell card is enough to destroy the moon.
Atomic Fire "Uncontainable Nuclear Reaction: An unbreakable chain of reactions, looping forever.
(Unlimited chain of reaction surrounds Utsuho, Yes unlimited, so Celestia can't even get close to this and this chain will continue forever.)
This is even worse Explosion Sign "Mega Flare"
A cascade of explosions(millions of red giant), shrinking as they travel.
If you look too far ahead, escape seems impossible. Plan for the gaps that will appear. Imagine wat will happen if she use PETA FLARE which is billion times stronger than that. And only gaps can escape, meaning YUKARI'S GAPPING POWERS! Not teleport. Unless Celestia can teleport far far away that ending up withdrawing the battle. and I did mention Reimu can teleport as well but reimu did continue without withdrawing because gensokyo was at risk ;) but the fact that she borrows yukari yakumo(strongest being in touhou)'s power made her win. So in here, Celestia is traped and all she could do is teleport far away and escape. So she can only run unable to do anything but I wonder how long can run from her attacks?
Mega = (1 million), Giga = 1 billion, Peta = 1 quadrillion
"Hell's Tokamak: 2 ginat red star, I want to call it red giants and thousands of tiny red star she blasts. This is enough to blow up the earth and logically Utsuho's full power can blow up the entire solar system.
Nuclear Heat "Uncontainable Dive": Propels herself using a massive amount of fusion energy in this massive attack. Races back and forth across the screen many times to hit the enemy in multiple places.
She heats up her body and dash through their opponent with speed. (This also makes her speed multiple times faster)
"Subterranean Sun" This is where utsuho becomes as hot as the sun and turn into a shape like that. She creates a massive gravity which even light can't escape. And when celestia gets into it. She will be incinerate fast into nothing. The reason why Reimu dodged this because there was a time limit and the ability graze which makes everything passable around her and makes her invincible similar to fantasy heaven except no attacks. If there is no time limit, it will suck up all the planets in the entire solar system, the more it sucks, the bigger it is and the bigger, the massive it is. It will create a huge supernova that it is possible to destroy an entire galaxy or more. If only there was no time limit! Utsuho can do all of those. This spell card in subterranean animism, Reimu couldn't do anything but to wait until the time limit. So there's no way celestia can stop it.
And that's not all the spell cards she has! I just mentioned some important ones!
Anyways, celestia can't control all celestial objects only the moon and the sun, even she managed to do so utsuho can incinerate all of it. Some may say "oh celestia can control utusho's attack and reflect it back to her" Well, it won't work because utsuho is immune to her own attacks. She is able to live in the core of the sun which makes and durable extremely high. Plus most of her attacks are not solid objects, it's similar to energy blast.
And for some say she's immortal, she's not like mokou or kaguya. Her immortal means eternal life doesn't mean she can't die. She can die just like remilia. She may be immune to radiation but she will be incinerate or melt down by the massive heat of utsuho's attacks.
Extra facts: Utsuho has the power to regenerates so 1 stab won't kill her.
As for speed: Touhou characters like Utsuho of course have superior fighting speed than Celestia and probably all other mlp characters. So meaning utsuho has all the superiority and faster in long range and short range attack. So... Celestia better be excellent at dodging or else it won't last long. For moving speed meaning moving from 1 direction to other, Utsuho's regular speed is not speed of light but she can at least keep up with reimu who can keep up with remilia. And remilia(vampire) orbit the moon in a few seconds without getting burnt by the sun. Idk how fast celestia is but utsuho ain't slow. Plus she has some spell card that powers up her speed multiple times.
*Oh and btw, all the spell cards about I am sure without spell cards rules it's multiple times more powerful and more amount of it will be activated. Wat I just used is the regular information during the spell card rules so it's probably more than that.
So I say utsuho wins unless spell cards rules is on but to me with spell cards rule on Utsuho still has a chance of winning.
Last thing, during the spell cards rule reimu alone can't win Utsuho which proved that she relies on yukari's help. But without spell card rules restrictions, Reimu can win using her fantasy heaven which makes her literally invincible. See how powerful touhou characters can become without spell card rules?"

***** Doesn't really matter, no matter wat she is. We have gods who created the earth and they have the powers to create other gods like a curse gods. We have gods who has the ability to create anything and she created a whole dimension and life form but Reimu who's a human pwn them. And Utsuho is a yatagarasu who is also known as god of the sun.
Either an unlikely friendship would be formed or a lot of lasers and bullet-spray would occur. I've still yet to decide whether Touhou or Fraxy is more epic with the insane dodging skills needed to beat anyone.
I think the point is exactly the fact that the characters are vague enough,so fans can come up with theories about them and all.
Besides it's been here since 1996 so it has give a long time untill the fandom got the thing it is today.

"Another anime girl?" She's one of the(if not THE) best Touhou villains. Ontop of that, one of the strongest as she has complete manipulation of nuclear energy and shows he manipulate VERY well in the game. And don't say Celestia auto-wins over her Sun Manpulation. Yes Sun>Nukes, but Celestia still wouldn't win because 1. Celestia can only move the sun, not generate the sun's flames unlike Utsuho. 2. They're in Utsuho's stage, which is underground. No sunlight involved. And I doubt Celestia's Alicorn magic is enough. Heck, Twilight have 4x that magic and at full power she could only simply make a crater. 3. Even if Celestia decided to have the sun crash down on Utsuho, she would end up killing herself and the entire world in the process.
