- The tour bus driver involved in the accident at KM16.5, Jalan Genting Highlands, which claimed the lives of two Chinese tourists has pleaded not guilty at a Magistrate's Court in Raub to two charges of driving dangerously and not possessing a valid driving licence.

The tour bus company should be given severe punishment for hiring driver without valid license.
The directors and senior management should be held responsible and jailed. They are the decision-makers. Penalising the company will only hurt the shareholders.

Tour operator(travel agent) hired cheap chartered bus for the service without considering the safety of foreign tourists. Cable car service is available at Gohtong mid-hill transit terminal(cable cars, buses).
Going downhill is more risker than going uphill especially long buses with passengers & their luggages. Human ignorance is the cause of tragic accident like this.
MOT & MOTC ministries should work hand in hand to improve road safety awareness & Puspaskom Sticker is mandatory for all heavy vehicles. We have Puspuskom vehicle inspection centers operated by DRB-HICOM in cities & towns.

Bus company must ensure that every driver is qualified to drive with valid driving licence.This incident happened could be the bus company never check the status of driving licence and just take things for granted.
The bus company should have a record of all their drivers' licence expiry date. Whenever a driver's licence expires, the company should be aware and require him to submit a photocopy of the new licence.

There is a CNA documentary where bus company want to reduced cost by paying less and drivers don want to share by hving two drivers (because they will split the pay); with two drivers, one sleep and one driver, taking turns so that they stay awake while driving. So one driver will try to tahan for the whole ride solo and racing to keep time. As a result, this is disaster waiting to happen because no regulation and money speaks louder than safety.

JPJ / polis traffik bukan sahaja buat road block, kasi saman van / lori. Saya biasa lalu highway NKVE banyak lori dan bas bawa dgn kelajuan melebihi 110km/h.

No verification with JPJ or Law enforcement records to validate official licences (if fake licences were provided as compulsory documents/copy for the position) if there's no licence from the Start why appointed the person as company driver? Should not be appointed as bus driver and by giving the person the responsibility that made the bus company liabilities coz without the approval and excess the person won't exist as driver and the accident won't happen! 1st responsibility to reject the application as fatal and compulsory and tagged with law and legal bus companies fail to comply with law. Law will come back to the basic point and everyone knows he doesn't fit and pass as driver is it by qualifications but why give the chance deadly accident happened if you know the chance is confirmed there? Not qualified meaning fail to drive the bus and that fact and confirm! That's also exposes the driver to danger as well and might be killed to because of unlawful official decision that should not taken into place! Please release the driver ASAP for him to take legal actions and this can consider killing act trial by exposose driver attentionly and make it officially killed by 100%. That's why accident confirm happens what.
