It's supposed to be like "Lavender Castle" if you remove the extra letters (a ton of people put emphasis on the VEN which sounds super weird to me!!) (yes it's an L not an i)
I was thinking of rebranding to a different name entirely, but that's too much effort and a lot of people would be confused sooooo... yeah. Also fun fact the name lavencas was kind of a placeholder until I thought of something that sounded better, but my channel exploded way faster than I would've ever imagined and by that point it was too late...
Name change might happen eventually (I've been saying this since march...) but I'm afraid of people not liking it lol

it's like a base instinct for some isaac players, they see an angel statue, they bomb it, no matter the context

5:20 from what I know, pointy rib does stacks and theres 2 pointy ribs but the animation doesnt show it but if stills dealing x2 dmg
It's cause they are in the exact same spot on screen so it appears as if there was only one

to add on to your idea of making lost soul have the bffs shield, maybe picking up bffs will instead make him inherit your defense items (infamy, pyromaniac, etc.)
and if you dont have any, it automatically gives lost soul host hat, little host and everything
He could really use something. Baby sitting him is often more work than the pay out. Yes you could get quality 4 angel items from him, but you could also get those with deals or the stairway.

@@roebot_dr6167 no just glowing hourglass and lost soul. You go to the next floor and then rewind right before he pays out and repeat for infinite payouts
@@multicatkid that was fixed. The horglass instantly loses all stacks if you go to the previous floor.

You actually do get two of pointy rib! They’re just perfectly layered over the top of each other but the damage output IS doubled. Figuring out an easy craft for it with tainted Cain can be pretty fun when you’ve got like 10

so the glitch to respawn the soul is exit and enter the save or something?

I'm pretty sure that pointy rib does stack, it's not visible but you could technically have 50 and one-shot everything.

Maybe they can have lost soul be time gated? So the faster you get through floors/rooms the more shields/rewards you get. I don't know how hard that would be to balance. Maybe the shield goes away if you are too cautious/slow on a floor? Maybe you have to finish a floor in a certain time to get a the shield for the rest of the run? If you go faster with crazier items that could potentially damage the soul, you get higher chances of better tier drops?
Im surprised Lavencas has this many mods but doesnt have the ones that make it so when you kill enough angels, they start dropping items

Lost soul and the trinket soul that shoots with you should be combined (change damage as needed for balance) and it starts with a mantle. If it has mantle still when changing floors payout should be better. Now the item isn't trash Edmund!
Lost soul rework so he's in the angel pool and the more of said pools items you have the bigger the chance he has to not die on hit.

Simple as to buff. If losty survives 3-5 rooms, health. 6+, treasure room. Survives the floor, angel, and the more rooms you went through = higher chance of better items.

and for 5 floors, you'd get really good angel items
Iavencas did you know that the ultra secret room is almost always close to the spawn (1-2 rooms away from the floor start room)

Maybe lost soul should have "1 health"
No hit= angel item
1 hit (half health)= treasure item
2 hits (death) = most likely a health up.
Of course, BFF could be unusable with Lost Soul afterwards, or maybe this is the buff instead of having his current shield.

you should do it every time it dies instead. just to see how many deaths it racks up when it can die every floor
I think instead of giving random rewards each time, lost soul should scale in rewards the longer you keep it alive. This could effectively nerf the glitch if it isn't patched, and could add some more value to the item.
