I went in there, everybody started staring at me, the vet techs wouldn’t let me go past the desk without telling them what I was wearing. They said I smelled so good… it was Burberry Goddess! I have $200- $400 fragrances at home, but Burberry Goddess shuts down the vet’s office. Um. What?… 😂😂😂

I realize it's possible for a dupe to sell sell at a cheap price and be good, but very few of the ones that I've tried and compared to the originals are close enough. You can get a good PDM Carlisle clone from Dua, Alexandria has a good greenlee clone, they also have a good thé noir clone, but I have tried so many of them that are not only not close to the original, but they don't even smell good. I think the problem for some companies, like dua, is that they would rather release a ridiculous number of fragrances then make them accurate. It takes a long time for perfumer to perfect the original, and just because a machine will tell you the ingredients doesn't mean you can just pour them in there and be done with it. It takes a long time to perfect a clone as well.

I disagree with your opening statement. Dupes also use cheaper/synthetic ingredients. The designer/niche perfumers go far and wide to find and use natural ingredients (and yes some synthetic) across the globe to create one of a kind scents (if they do it right). But I understand you have a book on dupes so you need to push this idea that dupes are where it's at.
