Amazing video and editing. After playing about 300 hours of Ranger on and off, Phantom and its rifle battle flow is really what I needed to spice things up and this guide couldn't appear at a more convenient time! I was looking at other guides but most of them didn't quite cover the rifle in depth and often skipped on information like i-frames on most arts, so I really appreciate that you did!
My only "complaint" would be that the PA section has rather lenghty text compared to the clips' lengths which sometimes had me pause the video to read properly, and the progress bar that comes up when I do covers the notes at the bottom.
But that aside, great stuff, keep up the good content!

The condensed PA section was one of my major concerns since I couldn't omit important details, but stretching it out runs the risk of breaking the video's flow. Readability was also a concern which someone pointed out, so I'll keep those points in mind.

edit: although I love the looks and feel of rifle PH, it takes a lot more effort to get decent result compared to rod or ET/LU which is a shame, also I wish the weapon action give counter on top of just like LU, that would make it soooo much better

interested in the written guide especially since you evidently know how to use the PA s in combat well, that's a lot of advanced knowledge i would love to learn
The secret? I practice a lot. You just gotta memorize how a boss moves and go from there.
There's nothing wrong, though, with simply step attacking to deal damage, but you won't gain markers or Phantom gear/focus as fast as someone who does weave PAs in/counters like a freeform dance.

Oh yeah, this is definitely my style. I love guns, and I got the matchlock weapon camo earlier today so now I just gotta get my Ranger to 75 and the Gunner up to 75 (apparently you need 2 classes at 75 to unlock Phantom).

Genon Rifle is used as a PP Battery yes.
This guide is amazing!! A ton of effort and it's helped me up my play a lot! Thank you. I was also curious about what s4 ph Rifle should be using especially with raising pursuit coming to NA very soon. I've been hearing conflicting info between raising pursuit, calming intent and evasion training. Which one is the one to go for in your opinion? Thanks again
Raising Pursuit has better mileage if you see yourself using PAs often and allows your Rifle to be usable on Ranger too, but Calming Intent offers better general damage in cases where you can't use Nachtangriff (which happens a lot more than you think).
I don't personally use Evasion Training because it messes up my dodge counter timing against bosses, but it is a safer option so long as you can consistently activate it.
You are the fucking best, i really did needed this part at 5:39 i was trying to figure out the fastest way to get it to change to pink and i couldn't figure it out but since now i know I'm good.
The counter is so powerful with this class

How I miss my Ph rifle now. Me playing Luster was a mistake. Ph rifle is like a girl who I wanted permanently and not temporarily while Luster is a girl I'm stuck with for life.

It's a camo called Grim Assassin, and it comes from certain campaigns.
Oh my Shiva, watching this makes me wanna ditch Luster and get my ass back to Phantom. Such a fascinating work, honestly.
And yes, the only reason i quit playing Ph is becuz we can not cancel the 3rd normal atk animation, it's the biggest problem for the complete ballet.
My favorite combo is Shift+Strafe(Placing bomb) - Vebre(Laser backward) - 3rd normal attack. But sometime i die for it, just becuz we can not cancel the 3rd normal atk animation, so yeah it's a sad ballet for Ph rifle, to me :(
