Both parents need to bond with baby but the mother is who the attachment will be for the baby due to the 9 months of pregnancy. They both need to take turns in caring for the baby but dad and grand ma needs to allow Lawu to do her part as a mother and not be in control all the time. It a learning process for both parents and dad, allow the baby to reach his milestones gracefully, don’t rush him trying to crawl, etc, everything will happen at the right time. You’re both blessed to have such a beautiful baby each other and your families and communities to give you all support. Just remember,marriage is a partnership and you have to work together to build on and make that relationship and partnership grow and develop, so work together as parents. Love your family vibes.

Please don’t take this in a negative way, it’s just advice and an observation from an African mother: Lawu doesn’t get shown much holding the baby in the videos, so maybe it’s just us that don’t see her holding him as much as she does in real life. It’s a but worrying though to not see mom and baby bonding all the time. She needs maximum time holding and bonding with her baby, or else he will grow up disconnected from her and connect only with grandma and dad. She has to take full responsibility for her baby, by nature. My mother and family members helped a lot with my new born baby too, as is our custom for the new mother to be looked after by her family, but after bathing and feeding the baby mom would always place him in my arms to bond with. She stepped in if needed but she ensured he spent maximum time with me. It is important for the wellbeing of both mom and baby, especially in the first months of his life. That’s the person he spent months hearing and smelling, whose rhythm is ingrained in his heart and brain.

The parents and son are farmers. They hv plots of land, some are located further away from their residence. Kaikai is the first longed for grandchild. So, very precious to them.
