    How the fuck does this make him a "good person" or a "better man?" He is just asking homeless people what their life story is. That's all. Also by doing this it may be making harder for the homeless person if they are trying to get away from their past.

    • @JustElevate
      @JustElevate 10 років тому +4

      Is that possible getting mixed up with what reality is and what's in your head? Because my depression makes me feel that way?

    • @TheMissoverthetop
      @TheMissoverthetop 10 років тому

      I guess people are labeled "insane" (although that's a horrible word to use) when they can't distinguish the difference between reality and what's in their heads, and it starts to affect them so that they don't see what's real anymore. They become unstable and confused and this makes them seem crazy which is why they are labeled as "insane".

  • @okmarshall
    @okmarshall 10 років тому +10

    The trouble with him drifting 'in and out of reality' is that for all we know he could have been spinning a yarn the entire time and it could have all been a fake story. I'm not saying this is definitely the case but there is no way of knowing for certain. What is certain is that hard drugs fuck up your life more than you can quantify.

    Fucked up thing religion does this to this world. I am not an atheist but I believe the point of Religion is to bring one another not force remorse on people for who they are.
    Mormon, Catholic, or Muslim I think what is most important is not what the name is but what they stand for. And hopefully that is Unity. No one is better then another. Whether you are homosexual or not, you are still a fucking human being.
    Humanity>Religion

    I think this is the most amazing video to exist. I am very glad and thankful you made it so people who are homophobic can see the damage they do. Just because people homosexual doesn't mean they are aliens! Saying that someone's sexual orientation or marriage is against your religion is like being mad at someone because they ate a donut while your on a diet. People should accept people for who they are. This man was pretty much ruined because of how he felt about people. He was disowned by his own daughters because of how he felt. So to all you homophobics out there, look at the damage you can cause. You rip families apart. So, next time you think of discriminating homosexuals, think of this first.
    Thank you ,Sam, for making the most beautiful video in existence.

    Don't get me wrong Sam, I love your prank videos and stuff but this is the best video I've ever watch possibly on UA-cam. You had the decency to sit down and talk to him about what has happened and his story. As most people would just walk by and judge him, saying that he's a drug addict or what ever. Yes he maybe a drug addict but there is no doubt he had a decent education growing up. Even when he stopped talking about his past sam, it looked like you stayed and listened to him. I guarantee when you sat down and spoke to him you made his day a lot better. Just for the fact that someone bothered to listen.

    Hallo Sam es sollte jedem seine Aufgabe sein, unseren Mitmenschen ein nettes Wort, ein lieben Blick zu schenken, das Gefühl zu geben dazu zugehören und das wir ihnen gerne auch mal nur zu hören um dann zu entscheiden wie kann ich diesem Menschen aus seiner Verdammnis heraus Helfen und ihm zu zeigen das man nicht alleine Gott die Schuld kann geben sondern auch die Schuld ein wenig bei uns selber suchen muß
    Gruß euer Ray aus Germany
    finde Eure Videos echt super cool und erst Recht das Du trotz deinen jungen Jahren so Herzlich geblieben bist und auf dem Boden stehst der Tatsache und nicht auf Menschen denen es schlechter geht herunter schaust.
    Sondern auf andere fremden Menschen einfach zu gehst um mit ihnen zusammen nach einer Lösung zu suchen

    I am also Mormon. The man said "I used my free agency (free will to choose)" and that's exactly what he did, the Church did not condemn him for his (some may say "natural" ) feelings but instead said that it'll go away. The Church did not say they're against gays as people/person, but are against the practice of it, like most religions. It seems like his decision to follow his true feelings has lead himself away from his family, friends and his life, sadly he is suffering the consequences of his decisions. "Free agency"

    Couple years ago I would talk really bad about homeless people. Something like ''They always bother you, always need money and cigs....so annoying'' In these days I feel like an idiot for my thoughts in the past. Everytime I hear some stories from homeless people...I cry. I've got a bed, I live in a house, I've got money, clothes, family....I don't even realize how much lucky I'm. If you go trough tough times you realize what you really got and how lucky you're for everything you got. And not everything is about money

      Yes. Listening without judgment and being fully present with their pain without trying to change them in anyway, seeing as that if you're trying to change another, it's really a denial of their perfection right now. So by listening, fully Present and with Unconditioned Awareness, the "other" will feel the space to reflect upon. We are One.

    What he said about Mormons isn't true,. I myself am a Mormon and it's not that we shame people who are homosexual, we just don't support it,. I don't shame them or anything it just doesn't matter to me what sexuality people are aside from my religion. Their sexuality is their choice and I won't change that and shove religion down their throats.

    I remember being homeless a few years ago. I never saw that happening to me, and then the reality just kinda sets it after awhile. Drifted back from the North East coast, met a lot of homeless people, and most of them were some of the best people I met. I scrounged up enough money to buy a small journal that I wrote it when it was all happening, and I go back and re-read it from time to time when I'm in doubt. Helps me remember that I've been through worse.

    I really wish people would see this side to Sam. He's a good guy at heart, this video made me cry.. The word homeless, what does it even mean? Unhuman? See how much appreciation that poor guy had and all Sam was doing was listening. All it takes is notice.. People want to be noticed.. Its not hard to listen to others.

    In Islam if you abandon your parents you won't enter heaven so Islam is a religion of love and peace

    I'm atheist and I do respect peoples religions,what others believe doesn't effect me it,but the fact that his own kids disowned him is horrible

    This was a great vid with a very good message. Drugs can corrupt ur life permanently, they just don't affect ourselves but the ppl around us also. Wish Joel da best and I hope he can be helped.
