Disney's Art Of Animation Staycation Day 2! | Hollywood Studios Dance Party, Big Blue Pool & Dinner!

- In today's vlog we did everything!! This was day 2 of our Disney World Art of Animation staycation! We started the day with breakfast from the Landscape of Flavors food court area at the resort. Then we head over to Disney' Hollywood Studios on the Skyliner. We wanted to start with a ride on Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway but the wait time was a little too long so we headed over to Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy instead. Jackson loved it! I wasn't sure how he would do in an attraction where he would have to sit for a long period of time but he did so great! He loved seeing the Lightning animatronic. Then we head over to the Disney Junior Dance party, where Jackson also had an awesome time! He got to see Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, Timon, and of course Mickey Mouse! He danced and even got to pop some bubbles, it was great! Then we had lunch at the Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant, which is always delicious. Next we head back to the resort for Jackson's nap. When we woke up we had some fun pool time at the Big Blue Pool and in the splash pad area. Then we explored the Cars area of the resort before the storm rolled in. We had dinner from Olivia's at the Old Key West Resort and then we called it a night! We had such a full day of fun and we hope you enjoyed hanging out with us! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow for our check out day!

Funny moment so far, Tim saying Ka-choo 🤣
Bless you.
He’s literally the only reason why I say kachoo every time I see lighting McQueen. No one I’m with knows where it’s from but I saw it anyways
I'm glad I wasnt the only one that lol'd when he said that!
Tim: Ka-choo.
Tim: Oh.
🤣
And then I think about how he says “crayons” and laugh some more!
As you’re coming up on 12 years as a UA-camr could you have ever imagined yourself where you are today? Such a wonderful life. I wish every family got to spend so much time together. Making memories with their kids. Thanks for sharing it with us!
I can't thank you guys enough for cheering me up, I know I'm emotional losing my loving husband he would of been 89, Jackson dancing and clapping to the characters was just what I needed, you got me smile and giggling I feel so much better! Thank you!!!!!!!!
I'm so sorry for your loss. Hugs to you from Massachusetts.
Agreed. I've had 2 huge losses of loved ones within a year and half. These videos give me that sense of family that is now lost.
@@HauntedMansionGirl awww sending hugs your way..I have my boyfriend & no family.
They cheer me up too....Hugs from Orlando!
That's so, so hard. I'm really sorry for your loss. I wish I had magic words for you, but I'm glad you're finding bits of joy where you can. Hugs to you. ❤️
@2:03 - Tim: "It feels more animated."
Jen: "yeah, like a real Disney vacation"
Tim: ...
Jen: "not just like a hotel..."
Tim: ...
Well I thought it was a good one Tim!
😂😂
glad someone else caught that Lol!
I understand what Jen was saying - Art of Animation is like you are literally permanently in the Disney Bubble - It brings back the "carefree ness" of wonder and amazement. Its difficult to explain - but I totally got that feeling too.
‘Animated…’ I see what you did there, Tim. 😂
We stayed at the Pop Century visiting my daughter who was at DCP. I asked her why they did the daily hotel checks even though I declined the daily housekeeping. She said they stepped the inspections up to mandatory daily checks since the Las Vegas hotel shooting. They came in during our nap time, and I was annoyed. After my daughter told me why they do the inspections I was appreciative they do the inspection for safety.
I would be pretty annoyed too, if I was interrupted or if I specifically had the "Do Not Disturb" sign up and they came in. Because 1. if they come around at the same or similar time every day, wouldn't someone intending to do harm learn the pattern? and 2. if the check is brief (as they said, literally 5 seconds and they just peek around), wouldn't they miss any nooks and crannies that people have hidden things? If I had dangerous or contraband items, and I knew that all they would do was peek around, I would hide it in things I knew they weren't going to check- luggage bags, closets, safe, under the mattress, drawers, etc. So, it's just a useless "feel good" show, in my opinion...
@@Nimeariel I agree. If I was to bring something dangerous into the room, it’d be hidden. It sounds like it’s more for the perception of safety.
@@jkgabes Exactly. Just like bag search, too. How many just poke around or feel the bag and don't even look too thoroughly? I've had some look thoroughly, but other places, they just poke their stick in, peek inside, and move you on your way without looking all the way to the bottom or inside all pockets.
@@Nimeariel 👀
I would understand it's for safety if they checked bags and drawers too...it's not like they are checking for firearms. They were doing this before the shooting. it's put us off staying on property
I love when Jen says “it’s worth the cost/price” for things, like a sit down air conditioned restaurant. I couldn’t agree more! Especially at Disney!
Tim, my husband and I noticed you’ve tried a lot of different burgers at Disney and we thought it would be cool if you’d share your Top 5 burgers in Disney!
We love a good burger! 🍔 🙌🏻
We love the value resorts. You are completely immersed in the Disney bubble.
The other resorts cater to adult guests...the immersive themeing & gearing these resorts to families makes you know you are at Disney!
every time i’ve ever been to disney, my family has either stayed at all-star music or pop century and we love it!
@@sera6593 All Star Music is Special to me cause it's the Resort I stayed at for my 21st birthday and it was my FIRST trip with my Now HUBBY. We stayed at POP the year he Proposed and then stayed at AKL for our HONEYMOON.
We Love All Star Sports. Haven't done MOVIES yet. It's on our To do list
It seems like everyday is Tim's food cheat day.
It’s so much more fun to see Disney through a
child’s eyes! It’s the love and inner child in all of us!
I love seeing the look of love on Jenn’s face watching Jackson and the way she keeps kissing her little boy, you can’t beat a mama’s love for her child
I was just thinking the same thing 😊
I am Same way with my SON that is 6. He shares a BIRTHDAY with Jackson. My son is Older by 3yrs
“There’s about three…just kidding”
Comedy gold, Jen!
What was that a reference to?
Barry Christie I think it all started when Jen was pregnant and Tim would look at things and comment that there were about three of them.
It’s from a past video when Tim said “there’s about three” and there were exactly three [cabanas]. I’m not sure if it was actually cabanas they were talking about in the original video. They like to joke about it.
Lightning doesn't have a license plate or headlights because he is a NASCAR race car, which don't need license plates or headlights. All the headlights on a stock car are decals.
Tim saying “I got a burger” after looking at Jenn’s salad reminds me of Charlie Brown saying “I got a rock” while the other kids got candy😂.
Tim: “I’m going to let him go down the slide ONE time before his nap.”
Also Tim: “Wheee!….. do you want to go on the other one?!” 😂😂
There was something about that scene near the Cars section, where Jen's talking to the camera and Jackson is just toddling away into the distance, that really had me giggling. "These guys," he muttered to himself as he walked onward. "Always talking to the box..."
To your question about the standard rooms and family suites: All of the rooms in the Cars, Nemo, and Lion sections are family suites. The only standard rooms at AOA are the Little Mermaid rooms ☺️
Jackson’s look when he stuck his fork into the giant scrambled egg… 😂
I'm with Jen about the feel of AoA and the value resorts. They feel more like places to stay when going to the parks where moderates and deluxe feel like destinations themselves. Stayed at All-Stars Movies in 2019 and it felt more like a bed and pool for time between being in the parks. During the same trip went to Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge, and Polynesian for food and they felt like you could take a day just hanging out and seeing everything. Also stayed at French Quarter and got a bit of both vibes but could for sure see myself hanging around that resort to chill rather than just a place to stay between park time.
I've said to my wife several times the Animal Kingdom Lodge is the fifth park.
@@2railnation AKL is my fav resort.
AKL is So beautiful. My hubby and I did our HONEYMOON THERE. We fell in love with waking up to Animals outside our Window. We Loved JIKO too. I Loved the Theming. Especially a good place to get LION KING stuff
Oh the Cobb salad from HBD… I hadn’t taken my mom to Disney for almost ten years and when I told her I made a reservation at HBD for our Hollywood Studios day, the first thing she said was COBB SALAD!! She remembered it. It was that good 👍🏻
Fun hotel...Jackson's lil face is great...he's really enjoying himself...from eating to pool fun splash n slides adorable...seeing all cars..HS.dance party...so much fun...for him n colorful...luvs Lightening McQueen car....great staycation Tracker Family...was a busy day...n yes I feel same Jen...your really at Disney n parks when at these types hotels...enjoy yourselves...always lots of fun...
No better feeling then your children's excitement when they see there favourite characters- I remember when my little girl saw Abbey Cadaby at 10 months then at age 2, i couldn't stop crying, when she was 2 she also got to dance with her, the joy in their faces is the best it's love reliving the excitement all again, Jackson is just the coolest little dude 💙
The Brown Derby is my favorite restaurant on Disney property. My family got the recipe for the Cobb Salad and we make it every year! They'll give you recipe cards if you ask, and they're in the shape of little Derby hats.
Ok-so funny--Jackson eating pasta with his left hand, while holding his fork with his right hand! Haha haha! KA-CHOOO!!
When Jackson is asking "What's this?" and you tell him, get him to repeat what you say.
You should also check out the Cars area at night.
Can I just tell u from a mom of a 3 yr old who barely eats anything.. I’m so jealous of Jackson’s eating habits
same here🤦🏻♀️
I swore my whole life that I never wanted kids but my god... your family just really melts my heart and Jackson is SO insanely precious. Watching him grow up has been so wonderful. I appreciate you sharing these special moments with us, but I don't appreciate you guys giving me major baby fever every time Jackson does one of his adorable giggles 😆 He just is SO cute and smart and sweet. I hope that if I do have a family some day, I'm able to spend as much time with my kids as you guys are able to spend with him, because he is just such an intelligent and sweet boy 🥺 🥰
i work at a disney store and i gotta say cars is INSANELY popular with young kids, we almost never have any cars toys (besides the small dye casts) in stock cus they sell out as soon as we put them on the floor. idk what it is but kids love those cars, man. i can tell jackson is gonna grow up with tht cars obsession from his reactions to the cars show lol.
Perfect kids hotel.Wish they had this hotel when my kids were little. We would still enjoy it with adult kids:) Awesome decor. Thanks for the video.
Ya'll are just being the regular Disney tourist, so fun. Jackson's little giggle after going down that slide was just too cute. It looked like he really enjoyed the two shows. AoA is so great for families with kids, so much to see there.
I love Jackson so much. I love how he's becoming more aware of things and getting excited. He has the best life. 🤩❤️
Took my grandson at about 18 months old , he loved Disney jr too … it’s amazing how much a young child can enjoy . Jackson was loving it , he made me smile 😃
We stayed in the cars section on our 2018 Christmas trip.
We loved it! They are family suites. I believe that all of the rooms are family suites except the mermaid rooms.
We have a trip planned and are staying in the Lion King area. I cant wait !
It was a surprise to run into you. Thank you for the great videos, recommendations and tips.
It has been 90s here in Long Island so I give you guys credit for going to the Parks for us. It can be hard to enjoy them in the heat.
Since Jackson likes dancing so much, you should google and play the 80’s classic album Mickey Mouse Disco. It’s still great to listen to today.
Oh my gosh ! I have watched many videos of AOA, and just realized that the corridors are inside. Thank you ! Good to know when choosing a resort.
Jackson is going to be talking real soon. Hes smart as a whip. I have been watching you guys for a while, and I love the relationship that you have with each other. And, you couldn't make better parents. Cant wait to see him with his first haircut.
He is amazingly smart. He is doing amazing in school. He also loves being a Big Brother ❤
It warms my heart every time Jenn calls Jackson “Jacksie.” That’s what I used to call my Jackson when he was little. ❤️ We love watching your videos together!
aww look at precious jackson watching lighting mcqueen, love you all
We love the walking path. I play Pokémon Go and we walk that trail numerous times when we are at the resort. Love it.
Would love to see another trip to Epcot before the end of Flower and Garden! 😊
We found out about the room checks too!! You can call the front desk to ask that they either come by at a certain time or not come by at a certain time (nap time).
Liked Tim’s comment about the running trail around Art & Pop. My daughter ran her 1/2 marathon around this trail. We were there for Disney Marathon weekend and they canceled the race due to weather. So people impromptu ran their race around this area after the weather cleared. It was so fun because people set up water and snack stations and cheered on the runners just like the official race!
Completely agree about the resort! We've stayed at all levels, but All Star Movies and AOA just "feel" more Disney. The theming is awesome!
The look on Jackson's face when the skyliner took off was so precious! He is such a big boy now!
And an Awesome BIG BRO
Jackson definitely favors Jenn (in terms of looks), but you can really see Tim in him when he’s just woken up. What a sweetie ❤️
Jackson is truly appreciate the show of Cars Live. I noticed that he is really paying attention to the storyline. Jackson is truly feeling fun with the bubbles. The Biggest Smile for Timon for Dancing. ☺️🙂Doctor McStuffins a calming to see her. The Light show was great to play with the bubbles 😊☺️.
Jen, I totally hear you! I’m loving your AOA resort stay. It’s feeling like you guys are visitors to Florida and it’s a real disney vacation.
With Jackson getting bigger and wanting to explore more, my family has had great success with harnesses. It allows you to have a distant hold on your child as they explore and stretch there little legs :)
This video brings back so many great memories for me. We used to drive over from Tampa all the time to spend a few hours at AOA and see the Cars (my son was at the height of his Cars obsession) pre-COVID. We stayed in the Cars suites once too, in the Wheel Well section and it was so much fun.
McQueen doesn’t need a license cause he’s a race car I believe 😎😎
That's also why his headlights are just stickers. Stock cars don't have headlights.
Right & that's why he doesn't have lights as well
Agree with all of these! He’s a race car!
Jenn I think you are describing the feel in AoA as "immersive" .. I literally feel like I am IN Disney.. And I think its because the theming doesn't stop... I feel like the new make overs are stripping the Disney out of all the rooms.
As someone who goes to Disney without kids and who lives 9 hours away and doesn't have the convenience to go all the time, I pack in a full day at the parks and don't go back for breaks or pool time. Gotta get as much in as I can. Lol. I have a pool here at home I can enjoy when not spending that money at disney.
Yeah, if I remember correctly after the Vegas shooting there’s now new room policies where they HAVE to enter the rooms at some point to ensure nothings happening. Even if you have the Do Not Disturb sign on, though things may have been different this last year when things first started opening up with Covid.
Stayed at Pop Century last Dec and had the same thing happen. Employee always tried to check the room in the afternoon when I’m napping before going back to the parks 😅 but stayed at Universal’s Dockside this past May and didn’t experience this at all.
Makes sense although I think they have been doing it from before Las Vegas too in order to prevent child trafficking/pornography.
I should mention, we stayed at The Swan on property a few weeks back and had this happen both day we were there. Now that I’m thinking about it more, it might be a precaution that just Disney has implemented. I believe it’s the same to an extent on the cruise line as well? And I think it happens even if you opt out of house keeping.
That’s just so odd to have someone come each day to look around in the room when you obviously want your privacy. That would honestly upset me if that kept happening to me.
I read that since the Vegas shooting, some hotels implemented a rule instructing their employees to check rooms that have “Do Not Disturb” sign continuously for longer than 24 or 48 hours. I often forget to remove the sign when we leave the room, so I’m guessing that could be why they checked.
As someone who went to the first “grad night” and awaiting a first grandchild one day, this was absolutely the best video I think you have ever done! Thank you and keep up the great work. The happiest place on earth! Can’t wait for the 50th!
A little confusing that they are mandating masks still in lines and on rides but not for a Disney junior dance party. A bit confusing when you’re more bunched up dancing than you are on a ride.
All mask requirements have been removed other than on transportation
You follow up what Kelsey said, the only reason they are mandatory on transportation is because of the Federal Mandate of all public transportation requires masks. So as soon as that lifts, I'm sure Disney will follow suit.
I think it’s because you have a choice what you do in the parks but not that you need transportation
@@NinjaKitten46 only for fully vaccinated people
We keep going back to stay at AOA bc you’re SO RIGHT Jen, there’s something about that resort that feels SO Disney!!
I agree @Mollie Smith, both times we've stayed on property, that is our home. Absolutely love the Cars rooms
Jackson is sooo adorable! Seeing him enjoy every moment at Disney is what i couldn't wait to see when Jen was still pregnant with him.
The meal I had at the Brown Derby was possibly the best meal of my life. Everything from the bread to the salmon was delicious. My family and I sat right under that brown Derby lamp you showed.
Here's my theory on the license plates: humans are differentiated by their height, eye color, hair color, etc. Cars look exactly the same if they're the same model. Their license plate is their way of being individual?? Am I overthinking this?
Tim's dad jokes are on point!
Since I won’t be getting to Florida or Disney anytime soon, I love living vicariously through you and your cute family.
Jackson is the cutest....I love his little wave 👋❤
Just remember it’s not the hotel that makes the day, It’s you that makes the day. Jackson is just so adorable. Does he ever cry??? Lol
Hes living his best life
I'm sure he does! But just like the rest of social media, only the good sides get shown! (...I need to remind myself of that when I'm feeling envious, lol)
those lines are why i ALWAYS go in the off season, i've never seen a line out past it's queue except when they're still in their opening year
We always go to the BD lounge. Cobb salad is a bit smaller , I think, than indoors. Love the sliders and people watching.
My son was obsessed with all the Cars stuff when he was little! It came out when he was really young. He collected the cars merch for years and years 😍. Hubby and I had so much fun with him, helping him to collect all the cars in the series 😁. I even hand painted his room to look like Radiator Springs 😊
My daughter was Cars obsessed when she was little, she is 18 years old now & said she’d love to stay at the resort (me too) 😂❤️ xx
Jackson is getting soo big!! I just love him. You guys are the best
Jen we stayed at Art of Animation and felt the same way you are feeling. The whole time you are there, you feel like you are IN Disney, not at a hotel and will be going to Disney. Love that feeling of being enveloped by Disney
Press the Housekeeping button on the in-room phone and you can schedule the daily inspection checks. This goes for all Disney resorts. Very convenient with pets or napping babies.
I get that’s convenient for the guest, but it also kind of defeats the purpose.
I went to art of animation 6 years again as a child and oh my gosh. One of the best experiences I’ve had in my entire life. I stayed in the cars room and it was amazing. That area of the hotel was like dead quiet because everyone wanted to be in the nemo area.
Art of Animation Resort is what I refer to as a full immersion resort. From the lobby, to the pools, to the buildings, to the rooms all you see is Disney Disney Disney. The other resorts are beautiful but modeled after a place (are not as Disney themed) and have the Disney “touch”. That might be why you felt like you were on vacation and ready for the parks, Jenn.
Suites are Cars, Nemo, and Lion King themed. Oh boy! I can’t wait to get back to work at Disney. Come on July 13!!
Fun facts: the Big Blue Pool is the largest pool at any Disney Resort Hotel. There are 2500 statues and over 200 pieces of Art, each floor has different artwork, and there are 276 jars of color along the top of the ink n paint shop.
Did they bring back the underwater music at the Nemo pool? How did the balloon trick work for you?
Also quick tip: if you have “nap time” at the resort, you can call mousekeeping and schedule your quick check inspection. They will accommodate.
Love the fun facts! Thank you. And great tip. 🥰
@@simple_naildesigns My pleasure 😇
This brought back some memories of when my wife and I took our kids to the dance party. They’ve aged out of it but we always try to get them to go every time we return. Haha. Good times!
Hi, what a great staycation. The room looks nice, love the entire themeing of the entire Resort. Jackson being such a big boy riding the Skyliner beside Jenn and not in the stroller, and walking beside the stroller, he so adorable. Tim talking about Cars and his joking around, I laugh, thanks need that smile. Also, this made me want to watch Cars movie, so now I'm watching it😄. They are good movies. Really enjoyed thanks. Be Safe Take Care ❤️💞
I want to try that Cobb salad at the brown derby soon and the key west chicken meal you got . Great idea of taking a break during the day when it’s hot!! Great video !
AOA is the best Disney Resort for families with kids, the theming is awesome. Ariel’s rooms are the standard rooms, the rest of the rooms Nemo, Lion King and Cars are family suites. It’s an awesome hotel.
Love how Jackson’s face lit up when he saw lighting McQueen so cute you should get him a lighting McQueen souvenir to remember this stay cation
Tim was seriously the funniest I‘ve ever seen. I truly love watching all your theme park videos because it makes me miss them. I turn your videos on when I want to get things done around the house, and it just motivates me. Love you guys.
Love this hotel, and the Disney breakfast brings back so many great memories.
I love it when they do vlogs with Jackson it makes my day seeing how happy he is I always tell myself he the luckiest kid in the world.
Jackson's face when he saw Doc McStuffins was just so darn cute. He just lit up! ❤️ I had to laugh when Jenn said "About 3..." with the cabanas 😂. I heard if you swim underwater in the Nemo pool you can hear Crush, Marlon, Dori, Nemo etc...talking under there which if that's true, is super cool and cute! Huge hugs and love to you guys xoxo
Thank you for this review. I have been nervous about the food at Art of Animation but you all make me feel better about it ☺
LOL Jackson is so cute hanging on to the thing on the stroller he sure is getting to be a big buddie
yeah Jenn " we're at Disney! " The theming at these resorts make you feel connected to the parks!
The only standard rooms are the Little Mermaid rooms. Finding Nemo, Cars and Lion King are all family suites and all fabulous! We love having 2 bathrooms! And Jen, please watch the first Cars movie! It is the best and really sets up the whole franchise.
Hey Jen.. hotel mgmt started checking rooms with “Do Not Disturb” signs after Las Vegas, sad but necessary.
Video idea: Since Tim will sometimes go to the park on his own to vlog it while Jenn stays home with Jackson, what if Jenn does a solo Disney/Universal vlog while Tim stays back with Jackson? It'd be fun to see what she'd wanna do for a Disney/Universal day going solo!
Your staycation are some of my favorite videos to watch!
It sounded like Jackson said " I love you" When they were trying to decide on the pool or the playground :)
It seems he’s slowly forming words so it’s very possible he was saying that
I agree
I agree
I thought it sounded like"I don't know!"
Yup heard it too
Hello Tim and Jen, I love your vlogs. Love Jackson and loved the way he loved the pools and the steps.
It looks a fun and exciting resort.
Love to you all
Grace xx
Would love to see you try the famous Grapefruit Cake at Brown Derby. My wife made me a homemade version using their recipe and it was delicious!!!
Looks like those that saw you the other day just missed Jenn and Jackson! I love when I am on a FB group and they are like LOOK WHO WE SAW!!!! Everyone knows you guys!
What is the Dis staff looking for...make sure nothing is going on.... That sounds a bit fishy.. (get it?!)
That's why I love art of Animation. You feel immersed in disney and you are definitely ready to go to the parks each morning when you are there!
I cant wait for Jackson to grow up and look at all the old videos seeing what tim and Jen did over the years. Hes gonna enjoy it and I hope that he will stay in the videos (willingly not forced) the older he gets. Also a suggestion is that you should change the profile pic to add jackson
Edit: I thought it was the cutest thing ever seeing Jackson at the dance party, I wish you all for an amazing future much love ❤
Great resort for little tiddlers, Jackson loves it ! He was a good little Walker today ! Stay safe x x
I am happy to see Jen is much more comfortable with the Skyliner. I remember the first time she went on it she was so nervous.
I'm mentally picturing how adorable it is going to be when Jackson can give his opinion on what he enjoys.
Loved the whole video. I mean, I always do, but it was fun to see Jackson at the dance party, picking up rocks, feeding the car… I noticed when there were fun things like cars while walking around the resort that he wasn’t smelling all of the flowers like he usually does 😊 (unless he did and you didn’t show it). He’s getting to be such a big boy, holding onto the stroller! Also, only the Little Mermaid section has regular rooms; the other 3 sections are all family suites. Thanks for another great pick-me-up for the day! Love you guys! ~ Eileen
When the Florida weather is hot I usually go early to a park then back to my hotel(which is always Pop Century)for a swim then off to another park
Same. I always love a Midday Swim wherever we r staying. It was Really fun at AKL being in Hot tub surrounded by Flamingos.
Brown Derby is so good. I often get the Cobb salad and the burger and share them. I always ask them to leave the egg off. It really is better that way, because the other flavors are just perfect on their own. They’re both so yummy. Definitely one of the best salads and best burgers at Disney. 🤤
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. If you would have gone back to the parks around 3pm Mickeys Runaway Railroad would be have a very low wait!
