What did you think of the ending?
I wanted to see what happens next right away.
Shocking. I'm honestly shocked that people thought the human stuff fell flat. I thought it was so compelling. Mae represents this supremacist Old Testament God archetype. She even sends the flood.
I hope Dichen Lachman has a major role in the next film. She played an excellent Magneto-type character in Jiaying in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and I could see her being a great villain here.
Loved the whole movie. Nothing was rushed through. They took their time and told a great story.
Excited to see what happens next, but it is my only major issue as it just feels like they are just repeating Dawn and War again.
@JackassJunior627 I get that but maybe the lesson is history repeats itself. Though it could be different.
I glad that I’d experience it in the theater yesterday. Good cgi, visual effects, and characters development’s. 9/10
I would not go that far but it was a good movie a solid 7/10
It was boring
I say a Solid 9

This could be showing how the apes take over before the ship lands in the first movie. There might've been a struggle that drove the humans underground as shown in the original. This trilogy could show that. And then another trilogy could start the remake of the original. Or they could just do it all in this trilogy ofcourse 😂
To the people hating on this movie and Noah’s character. He is still developing. Raka even mentions that he has a lot to learn. You expect a confused ape that is learning all this new shit after his village was ambushed to suddenly be wise and know what to do over night? Lol that would’ve been lame if they developed him that quickly. Leaving Noah confused till the very end was great imo from what Raka taught him to what actions he actually saw in the end. Mae did kill a bunch of apes but she also sorta saved Noah’s clan.
It’s clearly hard to put all the stuff everyone feels should’ve been developed in this film. I think it was a great pace and set up for more.
It showed Noah is clever and that he learns quick. Like when he said that shit line after hearing Mae/May say it. Also the names also tell you a lot about their purpose.
Right? Everyone Wanrs character development until they get it.
I think it's just that thay don't like how super trusting he was with the human when she shown maltaple times she has zero respect or empathy for them and she ses him as obstacle and nuthing more
@@djtoxicdhg no, he was confused by Rafa. Noah showed skepticism multiple times about humans and as you can see from the beginning he’s good hearted. Even till the end he’s unsure if he can trust human. Do you forget what he told Mae? That him and his clan were rebuilding their home and stronger this time. What do you think he was implying to Mae with that? Hmm, and Mae was there to kill him, but she didn’t did she?
True, BUT aside from human elements that haven’t been answered, Mae didn’t save Noa’s clan. She was prepared to have them killed to stop Proximus.
Thats why Noa doesn’t trust her at the end, it was the one thing Proximus said that was true, humans are only in it for humans.
Hopefully the sequel will have Noa dive deeper into Caesar’s teachings.
@@JackassJunior627 if you read what I said right, I said, sorta saved his clan. And Mae wasn’t expecting Proximus when the gate opened. The handgun was her being prepared for the worse and to complete her mission. If not she would’ve just blasted the 3 of them before or as the gate was opening. Her main goal was to destroy the weapons of mass destruction to prevent Proximus from obtaining them and to retrieve the Satcom key for the satellite.
I agree with everyone’s points, Mae will definitely be the villain in the future installments. The second movie will probably take the same approach as dawn did. In the future, where NOA teaches his clan Caesars Way, and symbolism from books, rakas books. Then the humans will be in communication with each other probably building an army.
People need to remember, these movies are about humans versus apes. I know everyone wants something different. But that’s just how they are always meant to be.
I agree. Humans are always the bad guys in the original movies.
HUMANS ARE BACK!. Coming from a 100-1 deficit
The apes will be going to space to make another planet their home nova will be a villain for sure but she will more than likely stay on earth and later go to space becuase humans are dying or almost extinct
I don't think they will go back to humans vs apes again.. that's already done in the last trilogy..
Glad humans are coming back. Ape vs ape gets boring fast. Its like no one to root for
It was on his final day that...proximus had learned. That the bird was indeed the word.
Underrated Comment🤣
Bird Bird Bird
Bird is the word
Apes will learn. Bird is word.
This comment had no business making me laugh for 30 minutes straight like that😂
But the law is wrong
Best part of the movie
I expected it to be like the trailer: “Apes hunt humans. That is the law, but the law, is wrong.”
Gave me chills
The movies storyline couldn’t suck me in like the other 3 movies did. It’s not bad but 6/10. Also I miss Cesar’s leadership skills and strength. It’s obvious noa is young and still learning. But Cesar has been an amazing ape since the beginning. The way he always shows his dominance in each one of the movies was the best.
Also fun fact: Raka called them all Nova probably after the little girl who was in War who was mute
yeah that's what they called her
The girl name was Nova in the old original one and War 😊
No shit
I love the expression on Mae’s face when she killed a fellow human. She’s a complex character that needs more movies to tell her story.
I saw it today for the second time, and it's such an awesome new beginning for the franchise! Now i'm in the mood for more about what.lies ahead for both races
It was boring
Good movie, I enjoyed the story and loved how they mentioned Caesar and his message throughout the film, his influence is definitely amazing. I loved the Caesar trilogy. I get the same vibe with Noa as a new leader that can change and bring the apes together as one again. Ape Together Strong! Excited to see what’s next.

@@majinse7en319 Why are you in so many replies whining to people about a movie you didn't like? Saddest thing you can do with your time.
Good film without the crappy ending which frustrated me
I liked that there were so many advanced civilizations of apes emerging that were so different from one another, but still advanced in their own ways.
A good example is Noa and his people not even aware of a kingdom that was on the brink of getting weapons and tech while they were just evolving in their own way
I have waited for this movie for 7 months and I finally watch it
Just finished this movie, and i liked every part of this, i only have one issue with it

I had actually hoped that Proximus lived until the end, he somehow had that odd tenacity of the antagonists from the original Planet of the apes films and placed in the 2011 version, he could have served as the overall main threat for the whole new trilogy, so it was a shame for me atleast seeing him get destroyed
So Proximus is basically The Brotherhood of Steel.
😭
I feel he's more like New Vegas "Caesar" (what a coincidence, huh). A tyrant who would do atrocious crime to make his utopia
The final boss battle was a bit underwhelming to end the series. However, the story of the planet of the apes came to a good end, much better than some sequels that exist out there. It had great CGI effects and a clear distinction between the devolved humans and the evolved apes, continuing generations from War for the Planet of the Apes.
I just don’t like how the main ape isn’t combat effective at all like all u can rely on is running and eagles
For reals man ceaser was a damn warrior
He relies on his wits and being clever.
He’s also supposed to be a young adult/possibly even a teenager in this. He’s going to grow throughout the trilogy, he was smaller than Proximus and the same size as Anaya and the other female ape. It was annoying seeing him get thrown around tho, but it also makes sense since he’s so young. If anything the fact he’s so clever and witty within combat is a good sign for when he’s a fully grown ape like Caesar.
I Loved the movie. Felt like it needed more length time or should’ve left Proximus alive to conquer more or add depth as well as keeping Raka in the journey but it’s very intriguing where they’re going.
How many OTHER CLANS of Apes are out there after 300 Years, do they have advanced technology? How many are like Proximus Caesar? Mae clearly made up her mind by having Noa live but will she let other humans know about Apes with mercy?? And could Raka still be alive?
Proximus could very well be alive
@@onceupon121 hopefully he is and we see some kind of Chucky the killer doll and Andy Barkley thing going on throughout. I’ll be surprised if we don’t see him. He was harmed and pushed by eagles and landed in water not too far from the shore where he could climb the rocks
Mae didn't make up her mind... She simply didn't trust Noah because she thought he may attack her after almost drowning him and his clan.
Loved this movies Can’t wait for the next one. Only thing I didn’t like is how Mae is going to turn her back on noe after all he did for her then she bring a gun to try to kill him 🤦♂️
I don’t think Mae was trying to kill him because if this is so she could have just shot him without the talk. She’s simply not sure if he would attack her after she had nearly killed him by blowing up the dam. Seriously, no skinny girl could stand in front of a 200 lb ape who may be angry at her, without fear. The gun is for protection, not murder.
She cannot fully trust apes, this is the running theme in this movie.
this new one is so good
The ending was my only major issue, I know it’s setting something up for future instalments but I just feel it’s only going to repeat Dawn and War again. Humans going to start a war, Noa and Mae having conflict, like just keep humans silent and primitive and focus solely on the apes for once. I was hoping for an ape civil war between Proximus and Noa throughout the whole new trilogy.
Love Kingdom, but my ending idea would have been a lot different.
Hopefully it’s different cause they said they had a plan for 9 films and this is 4 so it can’t be all the same
@@lifeinthe6038 I thought this was a new trilogy? Where did the 7th 8th and 9th come from??
I hope so just because I don’t want it to just be wash repeat, wash repeat, as we already had this with Caesar.
Yeah but ultimately it was all about Mae and her hate for humans. It took forever to even mention what happened to Caesar’s clan. What about the apes in the rest of the world? We waited 7 years for Mae to destroy the apes. She’s annoying like the colonel from alpha and omega.
@@Erenyaegerbernardin Mae doesn’t hate humans, she just wants them to be dominate like her ancestors. But as Noa pointed out, how much freedom would apes have if that happened?
Mae only cared about herself, and Noa realised that when she nearly killed his clan.
My other issue is why NOW after 300 years are humans making a move.
Not exactly because the reason this second war is difrent is that humans first had to go underground and the first movies had to set that storyline up to see why this swvond wave of humans wil use nuclear weapons to destory the worlf but apes stil live and humans mutate undeground like beaneath of ape movie.then austorants come thkusand year later of that event where apes have a whole civlization like the first movies
I can wait to see what is next for the franchise just keep us in the know how on what is going on incase we get more delays. I think the next one will be a lead up to the big battle between the apes and humans then aftwards the question is how to make the next 3 films and how far of a time jump will they go.
It's probably the weakest ending of the new trilogy. After the long setup. I was expecting a twist ending like the 1968 version. I was hoping that the hard drive will help reboot the computer on her spaceship and she is revealed to be a crew member of the Icarus. But they basically just turn on a radio. Apes riding in tanks would have been great also.
Lol there is 5 more movies after this d9nt expect anything crazy until movie 6 and that wil be the expected nuclear fallout
It's the start of a trilogy bro relax
Basically this one still a setup
I don't think the apes could use most that stuff. Gasoline has a limited lifespan and after hundreds of years any fuel in that vault is long since useless. So even if the vault was spared, we wouldn't get apes in tanks. Sorry
Such a powerful and amazing movie. And a promising start to this new trilogy. I also LOVE that they went the "Fallout" route in terms of the survivors. I have to wonder though, why did it take the intelligent humans generations to finally obtain that flask drive? Why did it take the apes generations to realize what was inside that vault? Its such a massive time gap and I feel like it should have been slightly touched on more...but otherwise it was an amazing film
Another amazing POTA movie
After watching this and seeing that there is still uninfected human I realized how stupid the colonel is, instead of going to war he should be focusing on surviving and rebuilt. Humanity situation wouldn't be as dire as the movie showed.
True, but you have to realize that the pandemic apocalypse was still fresh in their minds. Most of his soldiers were in their early twenties or early thirties. They were still reacting to the old trauma and then the new trauma of dealing with the mutated virus. It takes a couple of centuries to get through the Dark Ages before settlements get to the level of rebuilding to a brand new world.
1:15 is this the only shot of a planet and an ape in the whole franchise?
It is reassuring to know that 300 years after a world ending pandemic, women continue to have perfect eye brows.
Whoever wrote this mane 🔥
It would be nice to see the other apes around the world
It’s crazy the ending I did not expect at all, but it makes sense how in this timeline of this movie takes places 300 years after War also that some humans are unintelligent and there are some that are still intelligent unexpected but I’m excited and expecting the next movie to be a new type of war between apes and humans finally fighting for dominance for the planet.
Yes plus i think what Noa and Mae saw in the telescope was a spaceship.
@@Grimmjow19872 oh yea I’ve almost forgot about that I was wondering what they might have saw 🤔
@@masterjesseg yea there making 9 movies in this series
@@Grimmjow19872 😱😱🙏yes I’m looking forward to that now
I loved Noa so much im glad he could bring his clan back home😊💙🦅
Why did may try to kill Noa?
Noa can be possibly a influential Ape like Proximus in the Future, so kill many ones that human could delay the extinction of humanity, you know the world is full of Virus now, without protection suit, they got hit and be animal real quick, so a small handful human immune to Virus are sent outside the hideout to do mission like Mae
She didn't, but she clearly brought the gun with the intention of killing him. She realised that he has a special spark. Maybe not the kind of intelligence spark that Caesar and Koba had, but he has the makings of a great leader.
And a great ape leader is the last thing she needs if she wants humanity to return to being the earth's dominant species.
I think it's no mistake that we follow a relatively insular tribe of apes like the Eagle Clan. They were content with their customs, not wanting to break with tradition. They didn't even know about books. I think the Eagle Clan will be the starting point of the Apes' civilization l
@@BonJoviBeatlesLedZep She brought the gun because shhe had just nearly killed them all and didn't know how they were going to react
@@BonJoviBeatlesLedZepthat and she was probably ordered by the survivors to do so
@@JiveTrkey Yeah it’s so obvious, I don’t get how people see it differently 😹
I somehow thought Mae was going to be the villain and Proximus Caesar was going to turn out to not be a villain but thank god that wasn't the case. It would have ruined the movie.
Mae is still kind of a villain. Many of Proximus Caesar's slaves died when she flooded the bunker. It was lucky that the Eagle Clan weren't also all killed. She also seems to have lied about her settlement all being murdered. She also went there at the end with the intent of assassinating Noa, realising he could become a great ape leader, and was only swayed from it when he showed her mercy and gave her the necklace.
Humans will always be the villain
@@BonJoviBeatlesLedZepExaclty I feel Mae swaying from shooting Noa due to his act of mercy and accepting the necklace probably might cause her to realise that not all apes bad and don’t seek complete dominion over the planet like Proximus.
Both sides have good and evil depending how you look at it! That’s the whole point of the movies! 🧠
mae is a villian
Loved the movie
I don't think any of the groups are particularly wrong. They just took different aspects of caesar's original personality. It's been three hundred years, so it's left to interpretation.
Watching it at the movies is the only right way what a movie a little slow at times but very good and for my wife this was her first apes movie and asked me when the next one was coming out as soon as it finished
Looked great but it’s the same thing in reverse… the dominant species should never trust who wants what they have.
I can’t wait
The movie was good but that opened it was amazing
In the next ape movie i wanna see apes flying f35 and such
Mea was the real villain in the movie
i like this movie as long they do not let human going extinct..
So may might be the first actor in this new set of movies to come back for the sequel
I was disappointed when the vault was flooded kind of slammed the door shut with modern technology playing a part. I’d been interested to see what the apes would have done with the weapons after all the original series had modern weapons.
Thank You!!!!
I like how mae is a trained assassin spy. Shes like a splitter cell played her game and stuck to the mission, humans will win the war.
So what sequel will Dom and the others show up?
How did Mae found a perfect fitting jeans 300 years after the last one was made?
Proximus Caesar death reminded me of Julius Caesar’s death being stabbed to death. Wonder if there’s a connection
The things I didn’t like was Rakkas death and May not learning not all apes are the same 😞😞 Still loved it 9/10 🤩🤩🤩
End credits scene revealing rakka may still be alive
4:41 um how does raka and other apes even know about Caesar cause they wasn’t around when he was alive and ik his people didn’t write books about him and raka didn’t write them or he did but with no reasoning. That just makes no sense to me but idc because I’m glad to hear Caesar’s legacy plays role in the movie
Oral tradition. Same thing with humans before the invention of writing
bro are you serious right now? they obviously talked about him for years and looked up to him that doesnt just go away
They plan 9 movies total
Including this movie, there’s already four.
Man what could the 3rd trilogy be about ? That’s wild
So, like Star Wars.
It looks there talking to a spacecraft at the end! But someone said over the intercom they are in Indiana!!!
I was weried this movie would not be good but after watching it its ok not nearly as good as the trilogy but still a good movie a solid 7/10
When I heard the voice at the other end of the transmission I became a little suspicious, is that the voice of a human or an ape?
“I love the movie Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. I love Mae/Nova, played by Freya Allan (also known as Ciri in Netflix’s The Witcher series).”
God Bless!!!
Imagine if the apes found out we shared a common ancestor
They spotted someone coming from space and contacted him. Come on now
The only thing i didnt like was that it ended and now we got to wait a couple of years for the new ones
I love you all!
Mae was so bad ass
Noa said he saw a tunnel that ate light when he looked through the telescope. And at the end we see red blinking dots at the sky. This to me looks like a whole big space Station and maybe a black hole? This would explain the time travel aspect. Or not?
This movie was gas

There was truly no better faction in this movie. Humans and apes are both selfish and after their own gains: Mae wants the world to be the way it was, but that hurts the apes. Proximus truly sees this world as now a planet for apes, but this worldview hurts humans.
Both directly or indirectly want total annihilation of the other.
This goes back to the message of the original movie, which is war and self destruction. Fighting seems like the easy thing to do, but ultimately, there is no winner. I sure hope that there are more people like Raka or anyone left from the Order of Caesar. They seem like the only philosophy that wants peace and cohabitation.
