    I don't know for sure. But I think you could probably use a bathroom counter to do this exercise and get some benefit.
    However, can you walk up and down stairs with little or no problems? If you can, you probably don't need these exercises for that purpose. These exercises do help with your balance.
    In March, I could walk up & down a flight of 19 shallow steps. I went to PT to learn to step up & down steep stairs. At the beginning of June, I could step up and down a 16-inch high wooden box about 20 times with little problems.
    The most I have ever done is 100 steps, but it took several days to recover. Now I do 50 steps at a time while lightly holding on to rails on each side.
    I can also step up on a 20-inch high box for 5 steps while putting about half my weight on the rails. I doubt that I will actually have to step up that high in real life.

    I do not have armchair. Can i do the plank at the countertop? Or can i omit this exercise? Thank you.
