Stunning review on RIVER 2 portable power station! Indeed RIVER 2 can't power every appliance, it is impressive that it still can power many appliances like12V fridge, LEDs, fans, emergency radios, cordless power tools and others showed in the video. RIVER 2 is small in size but powerful in applications! 😜
I bought a jackery and it's to small...hope to get a larger unit later. Also... people check your batteries. Went thru my stash and several had gone bad... even the new ones.
thanks for always bringing great info to the community, I have traditional solar, with heavy deep cycle batteries, saving up now for an ecoflow in case I have to bug out someday.
Seems like a pretty solid unit. Lots of features in a small package. The solar panel seemed a little wonky with the stand the way it is. I think I would prefer adjustable leg stands
This will run the small Dash Pancake griddle with no problem. I make pancakes for 3 people for 2 days and still had 55% power left. This Dash will also make eggs and grilled cheese. There are also some water boilers that will run off of this to make tea or coffee.
I have a delta maxx and just bought a delta 2, which is the same battery chemistry as the river 2. The lighter weight was the major factor as it was easier for my girlfriend to move. On the river 2, I have a similar sized older unit and love the small footprint unit. It's so handy for phone charging, small devices, etc. It's a great idea to have multiple SoGen of different sizes. The river 2 is an excellent choice
does ecoflow offer a specific solar panel to go with this new river 2? i would like to get my niece a nice little solar setup like this for her birthday.
I got a River Max, and now wish I had waited for this model. Thanks for the video. One question - how can it have a grounded outlet if the unit itself is not grounded? Also, the one I got is recommended to be used at least once every three months to keep the battery "healthy". Is that the same for this version?
Hey there JR, new to prepping, quick question.... I saw you have a gladdy in the video. I just bought a new Mojave last year. Have you done anything to it to make it ready for when SHTF? like molle panels, storage, etc... thank you
I agree that it won't power every appliance you plug in it. But it will power most appliances that other power stations of the same capacity could not.
Outstanding review!! You covered everything I needed to hear and to the point. Been watching other videos and they're wack. Either too nerdy or too dumb
can i charge this with the solar panel and use it at the same time. i have a rockpals of a similar size but i can't use it while it charges, which basically makes it worthless. because i want to use it and charge it at the same time. i kinda want to set up a system in my room to charge stuff off of and use it occasionaly when camping or something, also would work well for when the power goes out.
I think you can, but my understanding is you want to limit how much you do that. I seem to remember that it is hard on the equipment. That isn’t an Ecoflow thing, just a general rule.
Solid review - you actually showed how it could be used in practical, emergency situations rather than show how it charges my iPhone. Thank you Sir!
This exact setup is part of my lighting and comms prep. I can power my rechargeable flashlights, lanterns and radios with this unit.

Ahhh, I just bought the EcoFlow River 1. 🤦🏻♀️ It’s going back and I’m getting this.

Thanks for the review of the River 2. I am liking the fast charge. One hour and it is ready.

Thanks for watching and commenting!
I can definitely use the River 2 to power my CPAP machine and since it is portable. I can stow it under my bed.
You are the only one to address the ability to use the DC outlet to power something.
This would be a great backup for my husband bipap he has to wear!

Fantastic little power station, as long as you are aware of it's limitations and intended uses. Only bummer is it can only take 110W of solar.

I'm very happy with my mini solar generator from 4patriots...

I prefer the RiverSong! Opps, I was in the year 5145 when I wrote this!

This got me at the 3000 charge cycles. It will definitely last me for years to come.
You can get the Mudder 2 Pieces USB LED Lights and they burn less than a watt.
What would you recommend to power a refrigerator using a $1000.00 to buy one? Thanks.
@@baneverything5580 Thanks.
What I find awesome is the weight. It only weighs 3.5 kilos and it won't be a chore lugging that power station all day long.
For how long does the fan last
Cool video thanks.

@@diypreppertv You can run the Ecoflex River, while it is charging ;.-)
