As a kid, I loved how the announcer said the supers, especially the hybrid-name duo supers.
Yup. MVC1 woulda been perfect if not for the high pitched voices lol, but it did have its charm since it was the first Capcom roster makin it a bit kid friendly.
I loved this game the most because of the iron spider suit and the announcer’s voice. Random fact, this vo has been working with Capcom for the longest and does the SF4 announcement as well

Man I’ve been playing the heck out of MSH vs SF and X Men vs SF on Fightcade lately. I grew up on these games in the late 90’s. Still some of the most fun fighting games of all time in my opinion.
i remember when i found out how broken this game was, i absolutely went back to playing it, its so fun

Both (Shuma-Gorath and Omega Red) is a dangerous team.
- They can drain health, but Omega Red can drain "hyper combo gauge".
- Combined Hyper Combo can cause huge damage.

My favorite vs game. That soundtrack is TOP TOP Tier. Spider-man theme is OD! And they had actual endings!
Hey, Justin. Fellow " old " head here. ( 38 ) Been playing this game since it came out in the arcades back in the day. Just in case you didn't know. Wolverine's Fatal Claw super in this game doesn't WAAAAY more damage than any of his other supers. Combo into it from crouching heavy kick for an easy setup. Look at the damage compared to any of his other supers. No contest. Berserker Barrage X is mostly good for a corner carry or chip. I'd love to play you some day. But with me being a trucker these days it would be difficult for me.

Shuma And Omega Red were my first and only few characters I ever used in this game as a kid in the arcade, glad to see new tech with them today. Absolutely love how well you kept pressuring!
The DHC with Shuma Gorath and Omega Red is the strongest combo in the game and combos off a jab or short. I've seen it drain 70% off Wolverine.

@@tonywong8134 any game that has a character doing a super after the first one has the dhc term tho. Marvel2-3 Skullgirls DBFz and some others. Thc is for team hyper combo wich i believe it's only a marvel thing.
I prefer this over the MvCs. Feels so nostalgic seeing them Wolverine Berserker Charge Loops. And the announcer!!

Man, I wonder how it would be if Shuma were a big body character... Ive always thought that it would be really cool if he were just this big eldtritchian squid thing that took up the screen.
I had a lot of fun with omega red and akuma. That said, i think zangrief and hulk's tag super blew my mind. Never did i thought a double final atomic buster was a thing

What a great game, I have played from msh to mvc2 and I consider mshvssf the most balanced of the marvels, his music when a hidden character comes out is very good, it hurts that in that version you cannot choose norimaro .. I like them your videos especially marvel is great how you can adapt to each version of marvels vs. ..

Omega Red in this game is so hype. Each time he goes "Ha ha haaaa.... Omega Destroyer !!!" I lose it. Him and Cyclops are the reasons I got into game dev.

MSHvSF is the most understated OST of the bunch. A shame this wasn't in MvC Origins.

Marvel vs Street Fighter is pretty awesome. No new character sprites (unless you count that Norimaro guy, which I don't even think Capcom does), but it has one hell of a soundtrack!

This is the reason why i say Justin is the GOAT in fighting games. Why? He can play over 10 games and be competitive on all of them.
Should have added Rolento and Guy in this Game it would be cool to see Rolento against omega red or spiderman with his athleticism.

I love this game so much and I remember the past days playing on with the mame emulator with Kaillera in tournaments(also playing in the arcades back in the days). This is secretly my favorite of all the vs series

@@jaymorrison8419 I remember playing that port and that's what caused me to start playing it on mame. Because the PlayStation version was horrible.
I used to really dominate with Hulk & Omega Red in MSHvSF... won a couple of navy base tournaments in the game.. This Hulk was kinda fast n balanced plus you could energy & bar drain with Omega Red... masterful
I did use Shuma for a quick minute in vanilla MVC3. My team was Akuma, Doom and Shuma-Gorath. However I ended up changing it to Akuma, Wesker, Firebrand when UMVC3 came out.
My favorite Marvel character to use is Wolverine & my favorite Capcom character to use is Akuma
More Omega red is popping up now a days I have a good feeling he's going to gain his popularity back when marvel announces something again with another fighter.

This was fun to watch lol. Omega shuma is really strong, but Wolverine b&b in this game is Starter into cr.mk, cr.hp, cr.hk into fatal claw for like 60 to 70% dmg. A lot of those Berserker barrage X combos you got would have killed them outright with the fatal claw b&b. They nerfed fatal claw a lot going into MvC because of how OP it was in this game.

You can block Shuma’s super there but you had those eyeballs stuck on you. They explode after a few seconds. He times the super just right for when the explosion would break your guard
yeah in mshvsf Shuma was turned from a rushdown character to more of a poke/zoning style character. As most of his incredible combos from msh were removed so he has a very basic combo structure. However he has the same incredible normals that he always has and his mystic stare does great chip damage so you just play it slow with him. Then if you get meter stocked up you get access to a very powerful lvl 3 super.
mvc2 shuma turned him back into a rushdown character and gave him back his strong corner combos but the lack of his strong medium pokes made him far worse in neutral couple that with the top tiers in mvc2 being absolutely busted in mvc2 and you have a character that struggles in neutral but shines somewhat if the opponent is in the corner.
X-Men Vs SF have the best backgrounds to me. The factory exploding. Beast and Blanka randomly chatting around a campfire.

I have seen guys do weird combos in this game, with both omega red and shumo
I personally play with omega, his omega destroyer destroys your health if caught correctly, this guy isn't doing the complete combo with omega which is the air combo into the air special which destroys your health

This was my team back in the day. Admittedly Shuma isn't that great in terms of tier, but he has great normals, and his throw allows you to get life back. Omega is a beast!

The videos that are of you struggling are far more interesting . Like if you 5-4 or lose i like the ones were it is really close. They are way more intense vids and not because i want to see you lose its because tension is fun to watch! Youre the man though Justn it may be hard to make those kinds of vids beacuse youre so good.

Shuma and omega super attack are deadly. Shuma has closed range atk and if it grabs you. Half bar gone
