Thank you for posting this, because there's fascinating layers to the cult devotion to this. There's the parasocial relationship that these small youtubers have with Tommy, thinking he's their friend. On the other side, it's Tommy using these small youtubers as unofficial mouthpieces, free advertising essentially (the Amico Mafia!). There's the idea of taking Atariage posts (and Tommy made thousands) as official statements by the company. Instead of actual press releases or interviews with reputable and mainstream gaming outlets Tommy posted on a retro-themed message board where he had a mostly captive and non-critical audience and could also handwave away any inaccuracies and inconsistencies ("Wouldn't that be something?"). He also did dozens if not hundreds of interviews with small, retro-themed youtubers who, again, were non-critical and didn't get the idea that Tommy was using them as free infomercials. Tommy would love that everyone took everything he said seriously, except when he didn't. He hyped the supposedly patent-pending "Karma Gaming Engine", until he admitted it was BS. This timeline too, was BS. We know that Amico was never, ever close to production. The hardware was never complete. The games were never complete. But at the time these youtubers took every word Tommy said as fact. That means Tommy lied to these guys, who in turn lied to their audience, all on behalf of a company that was always selling a product that was never finished and always in need of investment dollars. It's scummy behavior all around. And like most of the Amico Mafia, OEB is just an odd dude.
@@outsideredge AmicoDay use to produce very funny compilation videos between haters and shills of the Amico... nearly 200 episodes... perhaps we should re.upload these because it was absolutely amazing what was said officially by company representatives and the shills... and even detractors who made sport of the narrative. I was in absolute stitches editing those!
Sad part is, if the Amico actually launched and did all Tallarico said it would do, Amico would have more games than the PS5... good games, perhaps not though.

Oh these are clips from videos years ago... a lot of the happy fans are now ashamed and took down the majority of these vids but The Amico Day archives was able to download a bunch of these... we use to do mashup videos on a regular basis several years ago...

@@rossydv If INTV launched the Amico in 2020 or 2021, he would have went to the ends of the earth defending and promoting the thing.... in a livestream towards the end, he admitted that INTV didn't even send him a free hat... its kinda sad.
Look at John Alvarado hard at work!
it hard work rowing the pirate ship all by himself...
