- On my recent annual holiday to Wales I was lucky enough to visit and run trains on two fantastic garden railways, the Llechfan Garden Railway at the Talyllyn's Tywyn Wharf station and the Wigfa and Llanrwst Railway. Seen at the Llechfan are several mamods actually working (for a change....) in the run up to the Mamod Olympics event held later in the afternoon (but not featured in the video), and a fine coal fired model of the Welsh Highland Railway loco Russell in cut down form. Then at the W&L, my new Roundhouse Russell makes its youtube debut along with ANLR stalwart Gwydion and members of the home fleet.
Great trains, beautiful scenery - absolutely gorgeous. I loved the photographer leaning out the window, nice touch!
Oh its beautiful.
love the cut down version of RUSSEL,great vid.
Pure brilliance :)
Most Excellent, Hurry up and get the group visit arranged then now Boyo.
very cool
That Russell sounds bob on!
Hasn't even got a chuff pipe in it, it's Roundhouse's new standard single exaust. I must say it sounds pretty good
Ah, bother, fogot about that one and yes it does sound supurb, coal fired locos usually do if they are going at the right speed
Or is he talking about the coal fired one?
Rough shunt at 1:20!
how has the track been layed? Is there a cement underbase?
LOL @ 1:22
Trains are running too fast. You guys ruined the video.
