To be honest, it's on the internet that I heard that myth for the first time. I grew up knowing that if Ogbono does not bubble well it will not draw. So in spite of the fact that it boils over easily, we covered it but kept a close eye on it so it does not boil over.
That method of adding crayfish is new to me, I'll give it a try. Ogbono and okra is my favourite soup and the way you prepared it is exactly how I love it, with the fufu inside the soup 😋😋 enjoyment.
Looking at that long kpomo in the soup, I feel like grabbing it, run to a corner and devour it😂😂! Chai I'm just imagining this very slimy soup and very soft plantain fufu in my stomach 😋😋😋😋... no beg me ooo😀
Mama Biko send me this Ofe mma anyi, i have never tried my ogbono and okro this way before but on my way to the market now, thanks so much for sharing nwanyi oma.

We don't eat a lot of salt so usually the salt in the seasoning cubes (the no. 1 ingredient in seasoning cubes is salt) and the salt in say stockfish (when present in the meal) is enough for me and my family.
