You did a great job in the least possible amount of time. Every important and practical feature covered. Thank you !
Excellent tutorial! I knew this tool was powerful but didn't realize how much I didn't know about it. I love how much there is to learn using these programs. I've been working in Adobe Creative suite for 15+ years and I'm learning new things all the time.
That was an extremely useful tutorial! Didn't realise that it had a lot more control than I thought. Everything was a mystery until today! Thanks!
MIND FREAKING BLOWN. I had no idea this was even in AI. Thank you for the video.
Amazingly clear. So many things i didn't know as well. A really excellent tutorial.
HOLY SMOKES!! This is a game changer for sure. Everytime I think I have made so much progress, I stumble into something else I just took my courthouse vector with 84 colors and made it 35-- I like it better.. OK, going to go play some more. Thank You Martin, Yes You're a Master Designer and Teacher!!

I've been using this feature for a while, just muddling around. Always confused. Now with this info I think I can do something cool!
This is the best video on re-coloring and the Colorisation tools in Illustrator. I learned so much about the finer points of all the sliders. Thank you for this excellent tutorial. Outstanding.

Thanks for the new video. I just did a project which needed to recolor artwork. I found out there's no white for Pantone + solid coated. Had to go with the lightest.

You are the best... Thank you for all the tutorials they changed me.... I am really interested in making custom brushes, I know that you already have a tutorial about this but I am using illustrator as a textile designer and would love to know how I can make some splatters and just basically brushes acting as an actual physical art brush, or paint stroke if you will. Do you have any tips?
Outstanding. Thank you.

Hey Martin, very useful information shared in this video.
I am wondering if there is way to change a large number of colors? There are 5 main colors and over 14000 shades overall. Appreciate your insight :)
Gracias por tu ayuda
thanks so much!
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Excellent tutorial
Love your videos! I have created two floral motifs both using a reference photograph and image trace of different blossoms of the same plant. Motif 1 and motif 2 were created at different times with different color palettes. I would now like for the second floral motif to have the same colors in the same places as the first motif. Could you show me how I can do this with the recolor artwork tool? Thanks so much!
Thank you very much...
Thank you !
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
Thanks for the tutorial. But how about when you already have your own color theme from Adobe Color? How do you automatically incorporate these colors into the color wheel options without having to type all hex codes?
WOW Thank you
Very helpful video.
Love this tutorial! Thank you. I'm curious how to apply a specific color pallet from a library or from say spot/PMS colors. For example, if you want to apply your brands' colors to an illustration.
You can pull in palettes in Assign mode under the Preset dropdown / Color library... option. AI will automatically assign colors based on the pallette. If you want to manually assign a color from your pallette to a given color in your artwork, double-click the new color's tile and you can choose it there (I was trying to figure out the latter, hence I stumbled upon this video :D)
Thank you so much for your help, I could fix an illustration with at least 200 levels and sublevels in 15 minutes.
That's awesome! Glad that this video helped. 🙌
Nice one,Thanks
very informational video , best you are 🥰
He´s so happy about the knights!!
Nice work I learn desgin before my suzophrina
Thanks a lot
Is it possible to change a color to transparent using recolor artwork? For example, I have a design that will be printed on a black T-shirt so I want all of the black parts to be transparent. Thanks for this video and thanks in advance for any feedback on this question!
thankx
Love this tutorial!
Hi, can you show how to tweak a design with a picture to have the same color when you print?
Hello to you and thank you tutorials. Stp I need help, in fact I have to download an Ai template file for editable CV Professional, but changing the icon in this template is beyond me, would you have a tutorial for that stp?
Thanks for your videos! What I like to learn, is how convert a photograph in a draw. I don´t know if I explain myself. ..
If we import any raster images into illustrator there will be an option at the top "image trace" if not, go to object>image trace>make. It will pop up its properties. Change options and check.
This is the solution from what I understood by reading your question.
I hope I am correct. Else sorry.
after selecting the object, i am not getting the Recolor Artwork option. The recolor option is greyed-out. The only option In am getting is Recolor with Preset. Any help with that would be awesome. Im trying to place a colored object in the middle of circle and turn the entire image white. Im aiming ton create a silhouette of the image with an all white fill.
thank you
Wow, excellent description. I did know about the tool but didn't know about the link harmony colors option, even after clicking on it one problem i am facing in the edit tab that hue is changing of all the colors by moving one color tool but the saturation is not changing of all the color tools, only the selected one is changing... got any idea ????
very nice Stori . I like you
Dude! how do you make that first option appear
Can you show how to select objects in a multi color vector art, I find it very difficult to select an object on a multi-color vector art piece. is there any easy way to switch between colors on a vector drawing?
Thanks :)
hi this is very helpful. but if i may ask. how can you incorporate new color palette using the edit colors. meaning the illustration has already a set of colors right but i want to change it to a different color swatch that i personally curated which came from an image swatch mood board. hope you can answwer! thanks
Thank you so much, this will be very powerful to me. Cause for 2 years i did recolor everything by selecting elements, im stupid, thats fun and sad.
This is a great tool... but, why isn't the color picker for extern colors present?
I was hoping to learn how to swap a colour for a specific colour already saved in my swatches. - Otherwise, very helpful - thanks!
when I reduce the color number I still have the same color number for print?
sangat inspiratif
Really nice explanation! I was wondering why I can't merge some of my colours in the Recolour artwork tool... is it a bug or something that I ignore/doing wrong? I merge two or three shades of a colour (which I can't notice plainly with my eyes) and when I reopen the Recolour tool, I have the same quantity of colours! So, I don't understand what is going on... could anybody help?
