Man... Too many things... Magic attributes, attributes itself, the sockets... It's impossible to get the item you want/need with fortitude/strength, beneficial effects and 3 sock... We need an easier way or something.
Set pieces needs to be like the main slots. Once you receive a set piece you can then remove the essence and then add that essence to another set piece. That way say you get a piece of isatar with the perfect stats then you can change it to the correct set that you need.
Here's my two cents on this. Set item progression is 100% trash. The only reason why we need 3 sockets or particular socket colors is to customize our P2W experience. But set item magic bonuses really matter - its the only place to get movement speed and skill cooldown bonuses. So a 3/3 w/ sc and mv bonuses but 2 sockets is the biggest F-U the system could possibly give and that was my FIRST set item crafted going into i1. I literally almost quit the game entirely that day. There is NO set item progression thanks to the socket issue. Now the shit kicker is that makes DUNGEONS worthless. So once you get your 3 socket gear of a particular set type you are looking for there's literally no point in running more dungeons except to maybe by the end of the difficultly level progression when you finally get the right magic attribute layout you have to reroll gear anyway. I don't think there's a single grinder that can say the set item system isn't -- like you and everyone else says -- shit. And I absolutely love the game.
Would you say it was a crafting "failure?" Get it 😂but on the real, same bro. This is especially brutal bc we couldn't pre-farm Inf 1 like we did for every other difficulty, so no one had any wisps or gear saved up for it. You convert all your set items from hell 3 (lets say you had 70), you would be able to roll once for each bracelet to upgrade. Because these don't drop from dungeons, you should always craft your bracelets first, usually either target a set that's crucial for pvp setup or universal, like vithu. When you get 2-2soc vit willpower 1805 cr unexceptional rolls you're like cool, gonna spam dungeons all week to try a few more times. I got a triple stat vithu bracelet with 2soc and I can only use it in Crifts and even then I hate looking at it. I still have to use items from hell 3 is the bottom line.
Lol this thing is always a problem, when you upgrade your difficulty, you’re back to zero in term of green set. And Its really discouraging for new player. Just redesign your equipment system and CR system is failed from the start.
I agree... once you are around endgame there really isn't any use for gold. Or let us exchange 1 million gold for 1k plat. It would make players want to farm more
Like take red sockets out. Especially for wiz gear. No amount of life gems will put your health on par with any other class. And dmg gems are trifling. Dmg modifiers from gear, cursed items, gems, and sets have that covered.
Honestly I completely agree that this is a big issue. It’s insanely frustrating that you can get a perfect triple stat piece and have it not have 3 slots. They have an easy fix for this - just to allow us to use the same feature as pets to exchange attributes on gear. If we could swap a triple stat piece onto a piece with 3 slots this would be infinitely better. Sometimes you also just wanna swap attributes for pvp or pve focus so this would be a huge quality of life improvement.

Nobody is asking for another p2w way to get the sets we want. We are asking for a way IN GAME to change gems slots, or magic attributes or whatever instead of this RNG system that completely sucks. Gold in this game is pretty much useless, we can use that to modify our greens

Instead of just legendary items only. So players have a choice to take a chance on that. But still requiring more time playing to find better items. The game is never not going to be p2w. But the more aspects of the game that give advantages to players who grind more, the better the game becomes. If anything, I think that finding the best set items should be MORE rewarding. Where someone who can grind all month could compete with whales. Which would mean the top players would be whales that also grind their balls off. But the advantage of getting the absolute top rolls on sets, vs a basic roll, is really not very vast at all. Obviously, if every set item is perfect, that's a decent boost vs the same set up with minimal set stats. But we're only talking about a grand total of MAYBE 8% overall advantage? Probably lower. I'm trying to be generous there. But if that gap was 25% or more, that would actually make a dent in the resonance gatekeeping meta of the game. Where someone who plays 30+ hours a week could compete with someone who has paid 10k and only plays 12 hours a week. It would also help brand new players catch up without having to pay big bucks to be competitive within a few months. I love the hell/inferno level structure. So much more than regular/seasonal RPGs. And they are doing better with matchmaking at the various res levels. They need to improve the algorithm to make each match more competitive. And I absolutely LOVE that they added awakening to F2P. But the biggest quality of life improvement they could make now would to be making the grind mean far more. Especially with set item. Maximize that effect. Not make it easier to claim a 5% advantage that goes away every few months. It's too small. And gem res is permanent. That's a big reason why whales have such a permanent advantage. And again, I don't have a problem with a whale who ALSO grinds hard enough being in the top spot every month. But if they slow down, hardcore F2P players should be able to close that gap, in a perfect world/game.
Do you know how many times I tried creating my two rings with the red slot??? I wasted so many wisps on this stupid ass rng system. Like what the hell, why not let us CHOOSE -WHICH - COLOR - SLOT - WE - WANT.
The game became a mess more and more at each updates. Bugs is never patched!!, sometimes skills not working properly, screen glitch, black screen ,loading time so long, bugs after class change, latency, immortal battle bug ect... Adding content in a game don't make it better, PATCH BUGS!
Please don't give up on providing this feedback to the devs. For me, this is the absolute worst part of the game. Since p320 I've been prefarming inferno 2 because I know I'll need hundreds of wisps to get 1 full set with the right sockets. Inferno 1 is a wash.
On hell 3, am found good set item, like cd, beneficial and good shocket after play dungeon so many times... But i just using it mybe just 2 day, and inferno 1 coming 😑 Now my set item back trash again

Well seems to be every other 100 paragon is 2 socket Blizzard likely wants you to level up your gems and put them in two sockets. So you go from 3 sockets to only getting two, level up gems use plat at higher levels to get crystal to make the gems higher oh wait.. spend plat. Ah yea.
Same feeling about set items: too annoying to get what you want or need… Also another problem is with the armory: when you get something better you have to upload the new piece on all your saved build… totally crazy! It doesn’t make any sense to me!?!? Why they don’t don’t update this system with essence similar to the legendary gear!?

Thank you, it gets infuriating some times especially when going from one level to another. The number of times I've had to reforge new ones b/c of that or if you finally get one w/ three sockets it has garbage attributes & the cr on it so low on top of that. Lets not even get started on rings & the difficulty of trying to get a blue socket & hoping you get at least descent cr and attributes w/ some nice magic stats as a bonus, lol. Also, what are we supposed to do w/ all those wisps that we have left over from all those previous levels that are just sitting in our bag & there's nothing we can do w/ them.
This game is mess up as fuck... I got in 20 crafted same item 2 even times exactly same triple 2 socket and same stats same attributes... Like honestly
Would've been better for gear to be class specific as far as attributes applied to them. Melee classes have gear giving resistance and armor and ranged getting potency and AP.
Its ment to take ages to get what you need/want in the sets... And well we capped at getting 2-3 tripple greens per week since they changed the loot back to what it was before para lvl rollback update and pretty cappy on tripple leggos upgrades aswell those are nolonger frequent either unless u accept using terror equipments crap
And crafting is bs cus what happens if u go crafting and get 2-3 useless tripples and then start grind dungs u get nothing rest of week more or less.... Thats how the loot is now... Caps on tripples includes the crafted ones
Remember to craft items at the end of the week when ur paragon is highest compared to server paragon. More paragon advantage you have over server paragon - the higher chance of crafting/dropping good item. I feel ur pain because to this day i didnt craft my gloom ring with blue socket, strenght + fortitude + decend magic att. I sacrifice magic attributes to get blue socket + main attributes and what i saw sometimes its just better to have 2 stat item instead of 3 stat.

15 exceptionals in a row, from 200+ wisps, always 2 sockets only and 3 sockets only the non exceptional bracelets. It's a joke.

Here’s the kicker, look at the Inferno 2 gear! Over 2k CR but the stats are the same as inferno 1.

I'm having same problem, it's either got decent stats but 2 sockets, or crappy stats and 3, you gotta constantly re roll greens it feels unending.

Try farming Inferno 2 and recycling the items. The blacksmith will give mythical fires for hell 3
The truth is u dont need better 2nd attributes stats, 2 or 3 sockets gems, u only need enough CR for PVE.
