No, actually prices are going even lower for familiars continuously, legendary gems seems bottomed out, slightly went higher but that's it. . I'm from Peace Warders which was a standalone server merged with many other including "whale" servers.
My server didnt merge because it seems that we have many players,however market is dead .Selling all gems aside aqua and sapphires for 100 ,pets does not sell even with the greatest treats .Runes total joke mostly sellable for 100 plat and the the blue not droppable at all goes for 2-5 k depending on rarity .Dont know before recent updated i was making fairly amont of plat per week 10-15 20 k and now merely 3-4 k which goes for buyng the crests from shop ..

It usually takes a few weeks for the whales to buy everything. Initial response of a server merge is large qty hitting the market and people thinking they need to list lower to sell. 90% of players are impatient in every circumstance.
This game has so many problems that by ignoring them the brainless developers are killing the game. As always, the next update will come with a useless event or another boring game mode that no one asked for. I've been playing the game since the start, but I see fewer and fewer reasons to keep playing.
Here is why I think the market is crashing and cannot recover. Every player can get 300x7=2100 platinum from codex weekly. Every player should be spending 2x1600=3200 plat on the 2 legendary crests a week. Beyond this players are using plat on conversion and attribute swaps for pets (2000-3000 plat), purchasing awakening stones (10000 plat) and market tax of 15% on any sales.
In sum without buying platinum, there is significantly more platinum leaving the game than going into the game for an average player. So the market situation can only get worse, because no one is accumulating resources.

This is 100% correct. Without a doubt this is the main reason that prices are crashing for everything at once. Previously, players could make additional platinum by farming with alts, but the new rules for the marketplace made it much harder to get the platinum to the main. Easy fixes for market crashes: shared platinum among all characters on the same account and server; and cut the 15% tax in the marketplace to 5%
Exactly and the bigger issue is that this game did their calculations on how much platinum we can get farming a week based on the first release of the game but since then many things have changed that costs players platinum . we have to spend 1500 plt x 2 per week to buy 2 legendary crests. we need to buy pets from npc, we need to upgrade more charms because the game allowed us to change characters more viable and often and they keep improving different skills so we need to create new ones with the new skills.
We need to upgrade normal gems and spend platinum, we need to awaken every slot. All of this is not using the market at all, just playing the game using the npc and this is the big problem.
The diablo community as a whole is constantly underplatinum. This plus the need to use the market to improve our characters, we are constantly with less platinum than we need to play the game as this tyope of games are about improvingn our characters. We either get a way to farm more platinum or the game will die sooner than ever

I think if the devs implement a direct sell for plat it would help a lot. Example being able to sell any Lego gem for 500plat/gem power and something similar for the runes, charms, pets and normal gems. Cheap and easy enough for Susan to use and allow the market supply and demand forces to take hold.
Yeah, that would at least allow us to make some platinum, which can be used to slowly get some progression on our characters.
I think that would only put Susan back in business. From what I've heard (much is probably speculation, but...) the number of alt farmers x the hundreds of accounts/characters they have collectively means they could generate millions of plat a week on every server even if they only got 50 plat for every normal gem and the bare minimum for other things, so then they'd be able to do even more damage, they could even conceivably price fix/lock specific segments of the markets, just to be spiteful if they wanted. Hopefully it wouldn't be worth their while because of other inherent costs, but you never know... I just don't see them implementing a direct sell feature even for the lowest prices imaginable.

Hmmm. An area they could improve on is the normal gem as a source of plat.
Firstly lets set some variables and probalities.
1.Bot and excessive alt farming is messing up the market.
2. Main source of plat through normal gem(as it is the reasonable way to get free plat compared to other sources). 3.The problem is undercutting.
4. Demand and supply issue.
Suggestions:
1. Introduce more demand.
How: (1-a) availability to equip more green set piece that consequently requires more normal gems.
(1-b) Add normal gem slot in legendary gear.
(1-c) Add normal gem slot in every equipped familiar slot.
2. New mechanic for normal gem.
How: (1-a) conversion of normal gem to leg crest. Example 10 bound =1 bound leg crest. 10 unbound = 1unbound leg crest.(This would most likely ensure the stability and necessity of normal gems)
(2-b) Future upgrades of gear will require normal gems.
(3-c) Covert normal gem for a entry portal to a dungeon or raid that gives higher or guaranteed drop of green or legendary gear.
(4-c) Create an npc that players can sell normal gems at a fix price. (Should not be high as to replace the need to sell in the market. Maybe 150(free of tax) just to create a bottom which would not create so much disparity with the ceiling of 400 but would be change if they decide to allow us to go higher than 400).
I personally do not want some of these but just came up with possibilities.
Some gems there in your cluster ARE selling for higher. Most cases I see, pretty much obly saphire sells fast and higher than 100 plat, and in some regions all else at 100.
Skill stones, I'm seeing people in my cluster selling below 400 plat, if they're not Susan, they're dumb people because you ALWAYS spend 500 platinum to make them, so always place YOURS above 575 platinum or you won't at least get those 500 platinum back. I've been doing this even on my alts, selling skill stones at ~630+ platinum, more only if it has good skills or more than 1 from same class, and they're being sold, even now with market crashes. Awkwardly it's been one of the faster selling items now, along with saphire or other good stuff.
Pets? Now it seems that only those with the utility traits (ID, Scrap, Armory) are sought after, so I try to put them higher when I get one of them.
Terror Essence is another item that seems to sell fast too, since some people might not want the to invest extra time farming them through the Terror Rifts, even with recent buffs. In my cluster some are selling cheap (can't go above 400 plat anyway, but people are undercutting themselves wild here) so I just try to get the platinum for the 10x essences of the week for the guaranteed 3x3 3/4 atribute eternal gear from the codex weekly.
SUGGESTIONS?
I read previously, here too: they should try putting in more ways to get free platinum, like the codex one (or just increase the daily 300 to, like, 1000, for example). Orbs should be mainly for cosmetics only, or at least majority of stuff, since the start, while platinum, with more ways to earn it, a f2p friendly side to improve your character more.
This state happened the very day they changed the market rules. Now all players with alts can only transfer one way. People blame Susan, but there I'd guess about 1/3 of all players have alts. Beside, Susan can"t farm plat if they can't sell normal gems.

On my server, BSJ has always been selling for 64k since launch, 4star 320k 5* 640k. All those always selling instantly. Today someone listed a 4* BSJ !rank 3! for 140k, and it's still there. Poeple are panic selling.... it's the perfect time to spend every coin you have.
Why should they ban the account sale? On the netease side is allowed to sell them. There is an official site for that.
DI should add Daniel and Daniel will buy unsold items for minimum price. Problem solve.
Anyway Susan means DI still selling Orb because Susan is converting orb into platinum unlike ALT all came from purely farming.

This is basic supply and demand and the buy-lowest-price-first market limits, in conjunction with the legendary gem selling price monitoring means alt farmers can't cycle their plat back to their mains as easily. Likewise, Susan scammers are affected by the same mechanics too. However, players have to recognize that the relatively small number of whales have already purchased everything they really needed and since they were largely the only ones opening their real world wallets, this IS the inevitable outcome. Period. Mid-spenders can't make up that difference, so progress for all will be much slower going forward. It'll take a lot more $$$ from mid/low spenders to see any benefits and with the 15% market fee, and so many different things (pets, runes, gems, unlocking gem slots, etc.) competing for that relatively small amount of remaining/generating platinum, all item prices are going to continue to plummet on most servers. Blizzease isn't likely to increase daily plat either. They're probably going to stick to their proven money generating strategy. So many people mocked the whales for spending, but face it, those whales supported the entire market and now many of their F2P detractors are figuring out they shouldn't have been complaining and are now seeing the light... Just sayin' these are the hard truths.
Good job, blizzard promoted Susan themselves. Its cheaper to buy flat plat than to buy crests and pray for 5 star, and then to sell it. I think more regulation to the marked will fix it...
What is Susan?
Dark exaile my server i cant sel eny gem all is stuck on 100 and market is full...only sapfire and agvamarine go for around 140....all 1 star 400 and 2 star gems is stuck on 2k....more and more...nearly all is on chipest limit and full...so its means thay are stuck( dead)
This market change on Blizz is definitely game killer. It’s impossible to make any platinum these days

Like most whales, we already got what we need! Unless they add more pay to win items there is no reason to spend.
BSJ has come as low as 22k plat in our server. Aquamarine is just 100 XD

Supply and demand. Way way too much supply. Hopefully after the next plat spike it evens things out bc the market is really bad. Cant sell anything unless it’s for min which isn’t worth it
There is no supply. I look at the market and there is about 2-6 gems for a type, and players are still listing them at minimum price (400/gp). There is no volume, and ppl are impatient.

Need to go back to the original market system. Cutting each other is not helping the market. Inflation is part of any market hehe. Let the value go up.

Ban alts from market, and from entering shadow war and your server and markets will recover. May not be the best for full f2p but at least they’ll get full value for gems along with everyone else.
In my server prices are worst. Gems all are 100. Only saphire 200s

Gear would sell. So often I'll get an excellent upgrade but what i have equipped is slightly better for me. Why sell runes but not gear

Saphir and Aqua always out of stock and always on max prcie 400 plat. Yeah Legendary Gems Prices going down and i love that. Before the Prices are ridicoulus on high Price. I found the market Prices at the moment better than before. I never bought the wekly Crest. I have collect the Platinum. Now its Shopping time :) Why you love high Prices in the market? You love to spend max Platinum Prices? Crazy. i Hope they let the market so.

Game is dying. No point for dolphins and whales putting even more cash into this game. We already leveled up our gems. We generated most plat on the market, not f2p guys... increasing plat source for f2p wont make any big difference.

I have the complete opposite oppinion. I Think, the AH system is now much better then it was ever before. Unfortunately there are loopholes now again with selling pets. These items dont have real value, as they are virtuell. On my European Server, the prices for some legendary gems or normal blue gems are still at max prices. So, not much has changed on this side.
Yeah, it's super healthy that most players can't participate in the market because no one has platinum, and no one is buying anything. It's fantastic.
Plus actual real money spent for euro market was much less than for north american market. Blizz reduced prices about 9 mos or so ago for euro servers.
In my opinion its not own by susan. Its the player itself. More active player coming in. More things to sell. With this new market update, alt farmers cant farm plats as before. Normal gems getting lower and lower. More stocks on the market, less buyer. In the end people keep lowering their price to sell theirs first. Thats what actually happen. Those alt farmers is mostly buying our things in the market
Funny, none of that was the case before Blizzard completely manipulated the market.
