As good as all these performances are( I've seen 3 productions including the original NY ) in my opinion they all pale by comparison to the original London production with Maria Friedman giving what to me has been the most chilling, heart-rending, sexual, romantic, insanely logical interpretation of Fosca ever! I feel privileged to have experience that evening in the theater. I think I began to weep 20 minutes into it and didn't stop until I was back in my hotel an hour later.
Passion actually deserves another Broadway run
It was daring of Sondheim to begin this musical with a love duet - and to bring it off so brilliantly. LOVE this duet. Beautifully done.

they're good...but nowhere near the phenomenal performances from Donna Murphy and Jere Shea....and Marian. that show is uncompariable!!
