If the narrator didn't repeat so very much the script could be cut down to 3 minutes.
Why not instead have less talk and more musical illustrations.

AI narrator, AI writing, I'm guessing. Was keen to watch this. Fast-watched 1/3 at 2X speed, gave up.
Clickbait don't taste too good. UA-cam, ya tricked me again.

George Duke doesn't say a lot. A Dan Rather-soundalike AI recitation tells us the same thing over and over: George Duke was surprised and impressed by Zappa's music, but he came to like it very much. It was a big influence on him.

I stumbled upon this and quickly realized what a weird repetetive bla, bla this turns out to be and boy does it give away a big secret (LOL)

this video is quite amazing..in that it teaches someone a way of repeating the same basic info for over 15 mins. At first listen i thought i'd accidentally went backwards and was hearing the same thing for a 2nd time.

Zappa once described rock journalism as "people who can't write interviewing people who can't talk for people who can't read." Videos like this make me wish he had hung around long enough to comment on "content creators."

George Duke at Yoshi's Oakland was a great time. It's where I was lucky to hear 2 of The Grandemothers' Shows w/the Nucleus of Don & Bunk, Napoleon, Tom Fowler, & Chris Garcia on Drums & Max on Guitar as I recall. A lot of Autographs were granted that 1st time. The 2nd 'drive-by' was a little bit smaller w/Dave Parloti on Bass- who didn't seem too interested, maybe as his own relationship with Z was a short one. Then Duke's Show & he, his Mgr/Pal on the road & I were the last ones there & he was very pleasant to be in the presence of as he kindly kept signing things including a new DVD of his Band playing a Jazz Festival in Europe.
The Zappa family pretty much shut down the Grandemothers from the wide World of Mother mania & Maniacs w/their hostility as a bunch of sycophants about The Frank©® pat pending 🐄💨{Honk}.
'That FKG letter! If we didn't sign that fkg letter we'd have to get litigious & pay something like $60,000!' Don was not happy & since it was the decision of a booking agent to word marquee signs w/Original Mothers Reunion- OR words to that effect. Gail got ugly against the same people who'd put up w/second hand smoke & a poor health care package all the way around. Royalties? I don't know but I know George Duke passed away a few weeks after I'd been kind of pushy about getting everything possible Autographed that he was on explaining/pleading that it's not like we're neighbors & this is a big deal for me but I'm not trying to hold you up. He signed a few more titles & I let him go on his way but knowing that I was extremely grateful for his generosity & talents. He was dead about 2 weeks later. [RIP GEORGE DUKE 🎼🎹🌎🌍🌏]

AI videos are rubbish. I'm not sure why the picture of Rush was in there, and I'm pretty sure they meant some American place called North Wales too despite showing a Map of Wales the country. I stopped watching it because I hate AI videos but I'm sure the crux of the biscuit (To coin a phrase) was Zappa getting George Duke to play basic boogie woogie, "Are you too good for that?" etc. A very old story, finally it is obviously before "His dead" unless they already have AI Ouija boards?
