Nice one Big B! You and yer auld man are brilliant, what a laugh! Plenty of innuendos! I thought he was going to burst into a rendition of ‘stay another day’ with that jacket on in the snow! Take care of yerself big man❤
I am LOVING that tint!! Bit too expensive for me to ship my car camper over for Tom to do (I'm in Canada) but what an amazing difference! I love watching you and your dad work together. He reminds me a lot of my dad who we lost to Alzheimer's a few years ago. He was always willing to help out with projects and I know he'd have loved the whole car/van camping thing. Cherish your lovely dad. I know you do, but sometimes we need reminding how blessed we are to have great parents. The curtains look like a great addition too!
Thanks 🙂 yeh the tints really set the van off don't they 👍. Your absolutely right by the way, I'm very lucky to have the help of my dad and have fun together. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 🙂😁
That window tint makes the van look very smart whilst also providing you privacy on a camp. I remember seeing that pink limo in shrewsbury, what i small world. What an amazing collection of cars he had, and that e-type 👌 your very lucky! Excellent video brendan thanks for entertaining us every sunday. Cant wait for next weeks video!
Hi Brendon, I think it’s so cool you hang out and work on your van with your old man, I sadly miss mine as we used to always work on cars together, make the most of your time together as one day there will be a void in your life that nobody else could ever fill
Cheers mate and your so right 👍 I'm very grateful we get to spend this time together. May your old man rest in peace ❤️ glad you got good memories with him. Thanks for watching!
Hi Brendan, what a good job on the window tinting and coverings! Well worth the effort! The van is looking really nice. It's just so good to see you and your dad working together, it's a really special time, great memories to look back on! I bet you are really looking forward to camping! Thank you so much for sharing, have a wonderful week. Take care, stay well! Lots of love Kathy x
Hey Kathy, yeh the van looks a million times better now 🙂 so happy with it 👍 can't wait for another camp! Have a lovely week and thanks for all your continued support!
"Keep that in the edit....do not erase it" 😂 ....I love your arle fella Brendan!... great to see him in these vids 😁....and what a transformation to the van!..looks absolutely superb with those upgrades mate 👍🤟
and a little tip to close up those annoying gaps at the corners of the curtains mate - little self adhesive velcro disks/pads - got them on mine and they work a treat....one in each corner....sorted 👍
I wouldn’t have called your first camp a fail, far from it. You learnt a lot from your first trip and that’s how each trip goes. Your van is definitely a huge leap forward and your next camp will be a whole lot more comfortable.
That's very true to be fair. You have to learn as you go I guess. The van is luxury compared to the car that's for sure mate 👍 thanks for watching and leaving a comment 🙂
Looking good now Brendan, i had the same van but badged the Vivaro, they run for ever. Had to let it go when i was ill and couldn't drive. Looking at another one now though.
Tinted windows are great, Brendan. I had mine done and the difference was brilliant. You can see out but prying eyes cant see in. Tom did a great job on yours. Have you thought of making some drop down blinds for the van in the future. I've made some for Viv-i-van and with the tinted windows, curtains and blinds, nobody can see any light from inside your van. Love your Dad's sense of humour. It must be brilliant working with him on the van. Cant wait for him to get his own van and start a youtube channel. Bessy regs to you and your Dad- Kenny
Nice to see you back 👍hopefully everything will sort it out so you can go back camping ⛺️ n creepy and scary places 👀🤭🫣l love to watch scary camping ⛺️ 👀🫣😱💙🫶🏽
Nice job, what shade tint you you have on the back? I recently had mine tinted at the back for stealth camping and I had 5% limo tint on the back. I still need to window coverings as at night with a light on you can still see in a little. Daytime though you can’t see in at all!
Little further north. I tend to base near work in Cheshire. Only an hour down the road. I'll drop you an insta dm after work tonight so we can arrange something buddy
Hi Brendan, can I ask you a question about your van please. What have you found it like for reliability? I had a Fiat Doblo micro-camper and actually lived in it for six months during winter. I got rid of it to save for something bigger and now I am ready to go looking. I have seen a lot of adverts for the Traffic and they seem a popular choice for people to DIY convert. I'm happy to get stuck in and although I have zero woodworking experience etc I'll "give it a go" and worst case I can improve anything/keep trying until I'm satisfied. I don't need or want some perfect rig, just livable and with basic cooking facilities etc. But anything to "look out" for on the Traffic mechanically in your opinion would be super helpful. You seem trustworthy and I'd be interested in your experience. Thanks and keep it up mate; your YT channel is great. 🙏 PS: another question but more specific than the last. I read online that there is a grommet on the N/S under the A-pillar which can be drilled through and have the wire pass through when I install my leisure battery. I have installed leisure batteries for other people in the past including for a neighbour who wanted it for a microwave in his van when he went fishing. I'm confident about wiring it up etc but it can sometimes be difficult finding a safe place for the 12v positive cable to run through to connect the leisure battery relay to the vehicle battery. Any thoughts or tips?
Hey mate, glad your enjoying the channel and in regards to what type of van etc, I would say the 1.9 tvps are the best engines. Simple, no dpf issues and no ad blue 👍. More to tax but far far less to go wrong. Regarding the battery etc, I'm probably not the best person to ask as you will most likely end up in a&e lol. If you drop Dave outdoors a comment, he has far more knowledge than me regarding batteries 🙂
@@BrendanExplores Hello mate and thanks for replying. I think I'm committed now to finding one of these vans. I wanted a T5 at first but they go for stupid amounts of money and in truth won't be any better when I'm planning on converting it myself anyway. Your videos will definitely be helpful and I love what you've done to yours. I'll check out Dave's channel here as well. All the best mate, from Dan. 🙏
Here’s a question Brendan since you’re a Renault man, what make diagnostic machine does your mechanic use? I’ve got a Kangoo and need to code in new injectors, I’ve tried a few diagnostic machines and they don’t work on Renaults
Hey mate, ooo that's a good question and it's one I probably don't have the answer for mate. Especially when it comes to more specialised stuff like coding injectors etc. A good place to ask that question though would the tvp owners group on Facebook 🙂👍
Great video keep them coming mate and keep up the good work you and you dad iv been looking at vans myself as I am young I am not to sure what to look for as your insurance be dear for a camping van or do you have to say that to the insurance that you are building a camping van?
Oh nice one mate, Do you know if they do any curtains where you don't have to screw into the body work? The tinted windows look well cool too, Nice work buddy.
Thanks mate and the whole kit is supplied with the rails, curtains and screws etc. I guess you could affix the rail with glue but they probably wouldn't recommend that. It's not a big deal drilling into the van metal but I must admit it was a little daunting starting it off 🤣

I have tinted windows myself, but it is so worth getting it done professionally, I would absolutely leave it to a pro.
Absolutely, I didn't know how much goes into it to be fair. Really improves the look of the van 🙂
The window tint as transformed the appearance of your van. Spot on Tom. 👍
Absolutely mate, different van altogether now! 🙂 He did a smashing job 👍

But also, what a guy he is!
It does doesn't it mate 😁 looks like a different van! I'll tell him you said that, he'll love that 🤣 👍

The van is looking Great! Be fab when it's complete. I hope you doing a big reveal naming ceremony for him/her? 😂
Thank you 🙂 and I've already thought of the name 🤣 it's going to be great lol
If those bleeds are annoying couple of bits of Velcro glued to the curtain and the van body should do the trick.
