    That's a nice model, I actually built a monogram 1/48 scale model of a heinkel he 111 when I was younger, it was a blitz bomber version used in battle of Britain with black paint scheme and two large bombs carried externally, the he 111 is one of my favorite WW2 planes

      yup... when He-111 first joined the show, more than a few of cocky Allied fighter pilots found out the hard way that it wasn't yet another clumsy bomber. Heinkels didn't practically need an escort - I remember reading memoires by one of Stanisław Skalski's wingmen; he mentioned engaging one of those birds in a regular dogfight. Long story short: he had lost his Spitfire and felt pretty lucky to survive the encounter. Even one on one, Heinkels were not to be messed with. :)

    • @alhernon
      @alhernon 3 роки тому

      @@MikoyanGurevich-xc7ft Agreed, :) And, apart from that, a good looking one too. I'm no engineer, but apparently some solutions they used were pretty ahead of their times.
      Fun fact: some say Heinkel was inspired by Polish PZL-37 Łoś, plans of which were supposedly stolen in the early 30s. I haven't found any proofs for that, but if you like light/medium WWII bombers - Łoś is definitely worth checking out. Not as famous as the German bird, of course, but constructed with quite a similar philosophy in mind. Cheers, take care!

    I'm currently building the Pro modeller Revell 1/32 He-111 P in the same unit markings etc. I noticed your landing gear look a bit jogged back. I have run into many issues with the landing gear on my kit. They seem awfully spindly and the surface area for joining is quite small, was that different on the regular Revell He-111? This is my second large aircraft build and I've ran into a lot of issues with fitment and parts just not lining up properly on the landing gear and cockpit glass being a bit jogged off to the right. I've see multiple builds including yours where it seems to have that same issue so I can only think that the master mold isn't quite the right dimensions as the instructions would suggest. Also had to do some filling around the space where the wings join and the intakes under the engine nacelles. Just curious what your take on it was. Other than your starboard main landing gear strut being a bit angled too far back you did a good job, I like what you did with the preshading as I did that too on mine. Great paint work on that splinter and wash.

    You know it's really terrible that entities such as U-Tube find it necessary to threaten someone for the content in a video concerning the building of plastic models. It's not like you're making a ton of money. I would venture to say that by the time you figure in the cost of the equipment to film the build and your time required to produce a decent edit, you've actually lost money! I wish the liberal left would worry more about the effect their conduct is having on the society of the world and less on the fact that you might offend one of the more than a billion people with something you may have said or not. I was brought up at a time during which if I was exposed to something that offended me, I just turned the channel or whatever. BTW, great build.

    Personnellement, je préfère de loin Hasegawa et Tamiya ! Les détails sont de grande qualité les assemblages sont nickels et les panneaux de structure sont très réalistes !
    Chez Revell, par contre, beaucoup trop d'imperfections à rattraper au montage 👎🏻👎🏻😤
    En maquette bateau ça peut aller, vu qu'il y a assez peu de détails, mais en avions, Revell est ZÉRO !! 👎🏻 👎🏻 👎🏻
