Beautiful work! I love that it looks like a doped paper fuselage. The sunken surface of the wings lid perfect. Bravo!
Fantastic work as usual. It is always a joy watching you build a beautiful piece of art. Keep it up!
Beautiful work Alex. You did it again. One thing that surprised me was the engie: I thought you were doing an extreme detailing with black wash and extensive pipe work for intake and exhaust systems. Anyway the model us so sweet.
❤❤❤❤ im now inspired to built one of these Alex. fantastic model please keep the good work coming as yes im smiling😊😊
absolutely stunning model there Alex ;-) i really love that colorful scheme, it does changes seems to have a great fit overall !!! looks absolutely the part
Excellent, I see I'm not the only one who uses that cockpit masking method. It's a striking build.
Gorgeous aircraft. Beautiful kit from Revell.
I am building the same model right now! Great kit!
Great build Alex!
Boas Alex.Mais um video espectacular,do inicio ao fim!Esse plástico amarelo também me faria torcer o nariz!!
Continua com esses trabalhos excelentes.Abraços.
Great model and build. I would have gone with rubber black for the tires. Nicely done.
Only a expert can work wonders, excellent work Alex...👍
Now how could I have miss this... Awesome job Alex. I have very different experience with revell acrylics, But I'm glad they work for you :)
+SlovakianLynx Eevell aqua are great... try use just regular alchool! And them give me some feed back! ;)
niiice , sweet tip , for the rigging lines...thank you
RJ
Lovely build Alex. Well done sir.
Al Wood's Modelling Mayhem Thank you! The wheels are gloss... i realized it after filming it and gave ot a matt coat! :) cheers!
👏👏👏
Beautiful. Knocked another one out of the park
Seems every video on UA-cam I watch of model builds it just adds another one to my list.
Not bad. Few tips. You should spend more time cleaning the flash. I noticed you removed the copyright from the elevator but didn't touch the flash on the parting lines. You kinda had a rough finish in the blue, a light wet or dry sanding of the primer would help with that. And lastly for the torsion wires in 1:48 scale, you can use 2lb test fishing line, it scales perfectly and is much more consistent than stretching spru.
Keep building, and don't be afraid to try new ways of doing things. Get yourself a few mules (you can even find partially built and/or old kits for super cheap on eBay) to practice on.
Nice work
Very nice Alex. Thanks for the video....I’m sure that ghastly yellow required some extra effort to keep it from peaking through everywhere.
+Bill Browning Actually Bill it was easier than i thought.. Aqua Revell paints are really really good... im surprised
Merry Christmas to you Alex...i've started hoarding kits now much like urself. It's so that i have something to do before i hopefully join the air force come summer time
Great build, I think I would use some wire for rigging. But way better than I can make. Love you videos, merry Christmas. Revell paints ya hate them or you love them.
Yellow plastic looked scary OOB but finished model looks terrific. Another great job. Merry Christmas 👍🏻🇦🇺
beatiful perfect!!!!
very good job, I loved it. Regards my friend
Great job! Do you plan on building another Stearman with US Navy markings?
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND LOVELY. I know that I promised myself NOT to buy more kits, but after seen this video I wish that I had this one too (and in spite of the fact that I already have Revell´s 1/72nd kit on the Stearman...).Magnificent build. But what have you used to cover the cockpits before priming? It looks like cotton to me...For some reason, those kits which plastic is not our usual grey are troublesome to paint on. That´s what is happening to me with Heller´s 1/72nd CL-415. I guess that washing the pieces first and then priming helps. And the White and yellow paints have always been quite troublesmome to me too.
Alan the leopard Hello how are you? Thank you! I used wet paper tissue as a cockpit mask.. i place the dry paper tissue on and wet it after and so it molds it self on the details of the cockpit and its not agressiv to some parts... works on soft paints like Revell Aqua... this kit is great.. i only forgot to remove the shine of the wheels but did it after... I really "discovered" Revell aqua paints... mixed with water or alchool (i prefer alchool) they are great! And took only 2 coats of yellow or blue to cover the whole surface! Cheers! :)
Just bought this kit yesterday. Really looking forward to building it, even more so after watching your build. Thanks!
@AlexModeling, i just got one of these, I'll be building it as soon as i finish my b-25. can you explain in a bit more detail how you made the rigging wires? I've never done that (I've used fishing line in the past but it always comes out looking like its sagging). is there a specific technique you use to make them like twist while pulling the plastic apart?
+Flukesof Hazard first take a piece of sprue and a lighter and lighter up in the middle of the piece of sprue.
2: then wait wirh the flame not to close until the sprue starts to mel and bends by gravity
3. Flame OUT and start to slowly strech the melted sprue u til you notice a thin thread taking shape..
4: then stop streaching and wait dor the sprue to cool down (a few seconds) and...
5: VOILA!!!
Precioso modelo Alex.
I like it but I don't know if you have any more modols to make
Sir if I may ask, why are your wheels shinny, they should be Matt, correct me if I am wrong. I have the same model of Revell U.S.A., working on it.
I find the rigging to be difficult for me to do on biplanes. Thank you
I notice you model a lot of Revell kits. I've heard modeling snobs look down on Revell, but your models always come beautiful. Your thoughts?
Some are good, others a bit older need indeed a bit of work! It depends on the company from wich Revell is doing the buy for re selling... However some older Revell kits are indeed in need of a lot of work. But a bit of work and a good result at the end ONLY makes your model a bit more special 🙂
Great job except one item, the prop. That is a wooden blade, the other prop was a two position blade made of aluminum. The wooden prop is by Sensenich and is made or laminates of wood with a brass leading edge. They are still made to this day, but they are NOT silver. That's is really cool that there are paints that are water based for models.
Yes Donald it is cool! I noticed i had placed the wrong prop after i glue it.. also the wheels were too shyni because of the clear varnish and should have been mate.. thank you!
Looks great Alex and the aqua of Revell thint with water 👍👍
Don't use the aqua color mix it's not good
+rene stofregen Yeah i ve heard about it... however the paints are amazing... perfect coverage!
Sir, I am a Subscriber to your video channel, tell me please which colors did you use.
same kit Revell USA put out many years ago same color of plastic just put in a Revell of Germany box not a bad kit but it does need some upgrades to make it a better kit
It’s so shiny
May I take her for a test flight too?? Thank you .
You need to flat coat your shiney tyres lol. Other than that great job as always. Cheers for the review.
+Colin Johnston hello Colin... i said exactly the same after watching the video already online!😂😂 i gave it a brush of matt Varnish and its dull already!😁
Yes I figured you had just forgot. I do that all the time, think I'm finished then post pics to Facebook and realise I've missed something lol.
+Colin Johnston for me is "deja vu", even on my videos there is always a small bit that i forgot or a piece i miss place and AFTER the video i see it and.. "Oh sh**"😂😂
Alex
Há tentou montar
O revell del britannic
+José Armando Ainda não Armando.. e vc já? E se sim qual é a sua opinião?
The main body blue is to dark
not a bad looking kit, but man that yellow plastic would really annoy me...
Datts a lotta yello
Btw sorry for the german cross thing under the Slow But Deadly video. I only then watched yoir Texan video and realised that it is the portugese cross of Christ.
What ab are you using? I guess it is an iwata, but what model?
Yellow plastic, wow I couldn't work with it.
If these where a dark colored plastic you would have to paint it a couple times to achieve a nice bright yellow.
Revell logo on exterior very annoying!😡
Jman👀
+Kabul81 but don t take only that from the video! The kit is actually quite good! :)
Modelers really should stop posting videos... They make beginners like me look terrible...
Very nice build indeed. Vibrant colors: I never thought that the aqua colors were that good. If I may say without offending, the prop installed is the wooden variant. The steel came on other variant models. Wood was used to save steel for strategic war materials in training new pilots. Still love the build
