  • No words can really describe what type of night it was in South Philadelphia on Wednesday night. Michael Lorenezen throws a no-hitter, the 14th in franchise history, in his first start in Philadelphia as a Phillie. Weston Wilson hits his first career home run in his first at-bat, and Nick Castellanos hits two homers, including his 200th career dinger. Hear from the PGL crew, Rob Thomson, and Michael Lorenzen on the magical night in South Philly. #Phillies

Shout out to JT for being such an awesome catcher and being able to integrate Lorenzen into the fold so quickly. People don't always consider how the catcher and pitcher have to have a good connection to make it work!

I've been watching him since his freshman year as a Titan. He is one of the most phenomenal athletes to come out of college but unfortunately he never found his footing. Between batting, relief and starting, he just didn't seem to have a place to ground his career. Moments like this and the dad game, Michael is really leaving a legacy on the field for those who pay attention.

I love the Phillies and I’m glad Bryce is starting to get into a rhythm but don’t make it like he’s barely played this season. He only missed a month. I think he should’ve waited a little longer to get into the lineup and I think how he’s batted up until a few weeks ago shows that he could’ve used a little more time to heal but like I said, missed a month, not 2+ months.
