Mathematically speaking, it was the most interesting Apollo mission up to that point

Commander Frank Borman even made William Anders (who took the photo) swallow hard when he remarked, “Hey, that picture’s not scheduled.”
Then smiled and they all started laughing as Jim Lovell and Anders (the only two holding cameras) snapped away.
I think that has to be one of my favorite moments in human history - that level of wonder and excitement, like a kid seeing the greatest magic show on Earth.

Nah, it doesn't make sense. If you're on moon, the ground should be under you, why would it be on the side?

They weren't on the moon, they were orbiting it. This was the Apollo 8 mission to orbit the moon and do recon, not the Apollo 11 mission to land on it and collect samples 😊

@@chemplay866 oh okay so some how in the 60’s they had cameras that could be transmitted back to earth or they had cameras that could withstand space/moon pressure…oh but somehow with today’s technology we haven’t been back, we only use cgi even though the cameras today and more powerful than ever

What does pressure have to do with anything? And the cameras connected to antennas, which connected to satellites, which connected to Earth. Also, there is no more superpowers that could rival the US, so they don't need to go back to the Moon. They still are going back with the Artemis program. @@truthmatters758
