The fact that even just life itself has the capability to be aware of hugely existential things like this, hypothesize and/or figure out things that seem infinitely bigger than themselves, ourselves. Is something that can't even be properly described in our language because of how mind-fuckingly insane it is. It may not even be currently possible to put things of this scale into full-appreciation due to our nature of oversimplifying things so that they can make sense in our minds. You basically only exist in a Planck Time's amount of time compared to the timescale of the Universe and being able to figure out and predict it's past and future is truly a one of a kind gift, let alone being alive to participate in it. Do not take another day of your life for granted.
Just so y’all realize the sheer amount of effort that went into this video, look at Venus very closely for a few seconds starting from 3:10 You will see a split frame second of Venus completely covered in lava. This is not a mistake or a glitch in the video Part of Venus’s “transformation” into the hell it is today was a brief period in which EXTREME volcanism led to Venus being completely covered in magma and resurfaced- effectively self-terraforming itself into a barren wasteland
That catastrophic volcanic resurfacing about 550 million years ago is also responsible for Venus's current atmosphere. All the carbon dioxide that would've been locked away into sedimentary rocks over its first two billion years, dozens of atmospheres' worth, all got baked out of the Venusian lithosphere at once. Truly a one-way trip to hell that doomed a world forever, unless we can terraform it back.
@@flamemyth6489Regardless it could have been completely ignored. I don't think one global magma ocean is different enough from the other to demand it's own design.

I remember thinking some time ago that it would be cool if there was a video about the history of the solar system, showing what has been happening on Earth and other planets, but I thought this idea was too specific to be actually done by someone, and now I find this video. Epic
For anyone confused on why the Sun's age showed negative for a while after it already formed, it's because the Sun was the equivalent of an unborn fetus at the time
Zero is the Zero Age Main Sequence line, when nuclear fusion becomes the main energy source. Before that it was gravitational contraction that raised the sun's plasma to the temperature and density needed to start fusion.
There's a theory that Neptune formed closer to the Sun than Uranus but gradually swapped places. That would account for why Neptune is more geologically active than Uranus.
For some reason UA-cam is not letting me post links. Look up the Nice model on Wikipedia. There’s a graphic that shows Uranus and Neptune swapping places.

OH MY GOD I’VE WANTED SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOREVER AND YOU HAVE DELIVERED IT TO ME! YOU HAVE BEEN MAKING THE BEST HISTORICAL VIDEOS EVER! Oh my goodness applaud to you
Your videos are just amazing. They have an extreme amount of detail per video. And it gives us real knowledge about solar system. No wonder why it takes 100 years to make one video.
Nah, if it took 100 years to make this video… i tried to calculate with the calculator app and the result is that if it took 100 years to make this video then the idea of the video will be released in 1920. (The equation was 2020-100=1920)
I love the coined terms for the hypothetical future eons of the Earth. By this system, the entire history of our planet goes thus: Precambrian Supereon, 4.5 to 0.5 billion years ago: Name refers to the time before the Cambrian Explosion. Life develops, remains unicellular. Hadean Eon, 4.5 to 4 billion years ago: Name refers to the Greek god Hades, ruler of the underworld, alluding to the hellish conditions. Earth forms, solidifies. Moon forms. Oceans form. Abiogensis occurs. Archean Eon, 4 to 2.5 billion years ago: Name comes from Greek word for ancient or ancestral. Unicellular life diversifies. First photosynthesis. Magnetic field forms. Proterozoic Eon, 2.5 to 0.5 billion years ago: Name comes from Greek, meaning Early Life. Great oxidation event occurs. Eukaryotic life develops. Large continents form. Postcambrian Supereon, 0.5 billion years ago to 3 billion years from now: Name refers to the time following the Cambrian Explosion. Multicellular life develops, reshapes the entire planet, depletes carbon dioxide and declines. Phanerozoic Eon, 0.5 billion years ago to 0.7 billion years from now: Name comes from Greek, meaning Visible Life, referring to the rise of macroscopic, multicellular life, including animals and plants, which develops and proliferates. Telikozoic Eon, 0.7 billion years from now to 3 billion years from now: Name comes from Greek, meaning Final Life, referring to its decline following depletion of resources. Carbon dioxide levels reduced to the point that photosynthesis is no longer possible. Multicellular life goes extinct, leaving only prokaryotes, which survive much longer. Postbiotic Supereon, 3 billion years from now to the rest of the Solar system's history: Name refers to the time following the end of life. All remaining life now extinct. Sun dies. Nekrozoic Eon, 3 billion years from now to 5 billion years from now: Name comes from Greek, meaning Dead Life, referring the time after the last life has gone and before the death of the sun. All remaining surface water is gone. Runaway greenhouse effect due to increasing solar radiation liberating carbon reserves from the rocks. Vulcanian Eon, 5 billion years from now to 5.7 billion years from now: Name refers to the Roman god of the forge, alluding to the fiery conditions as the sun leaves the main sequence and becomes a red giant. Earth's atmosphere is stripped away. Surface melts into seas of lava. Anubian Eon, 5.7 billion years from now to the rest of the solar system's history: Name refers to the Egyptian god of the dark. Sun has become a dim white dwarf. Earth is dark and cold. This eon will continue until the Earth is either absorbed into the sun due to gravitational radiation or ejected due to interaction with another star or black hole.
The music changes and climaxes fit with the video so damn well, like when Earth loses its life, and when the Sun dies. It makes the sad parts so much sadder.
This covers so much interesting information (at the expense of having to pause every second). Truly amazing video. I learned few new things even though I thought there isn't much more for me to learn about our Solar System.

This is a great video, as always, but I'd like to know: why aren't you uploading? I know these videos require a lot of research, hard work, and time; however I would like to know if you're working on a super-hard project (which will no doubt turn out great), or have decided to quit altogether. And once again, this was a great video, thank you for all you have done.
The projects I have simply got more ambitious with time. I have a time zone project that ended up taking forever to research and I eventually started making it in QGIS. I have an HRE project that has also taken forever to get just the base resources that will also end up on QGIS. I have a 2nd version of the history of Earth but I would like to run actual climate models to get temperature/temperature distribution data. So yeah I'm still alive just have a lot.
Again, excellent work on one of my favorite subjects! 💯 May I suggest making YET another continental drift/history of earth video like the last one, but with the names of the cratons and continents like the video before that which was in 360°? Edit: I now watched the full length of the video and learned a couple of things I did not know, like the fifth planet and the pulsating red giant phase. The end is sad, even if it only involves astronomical objects. This was great, and I am REALLY enjoy this specific type of infographic style videos. I am looking forward to more of your stupendous content! Edit 2: I would love it if your next infographic video was about Humans and the history of humanity, their migration through the earth, the different ancient cultures and peoples known, civilizations etc. I know this is pretty much Ollie’s thing, but I think you would do an incredible job as well. All the best to you!
Oh no you've just guessed my secret project A and B. One will use the 360 format and the other will be more traditional. I'm hoping to use a different process in making those frames to reduce the impact of errors however a project like that won't come into fruition for a very long time.

It is a really interesting video, but it doesn't take into account one the last hypothesis I have read : quite early, several super-Earths (5 to 20 Earth mass) were formed in the inner solar system (inside Jupiter's orbit), and because of the migration, they all crashed into the Sun. The orbital resonnance of Jupiter and Saturn prevented further their own migration toward the inner solar system, and our current terrestrial planets then formed with the remanent matter of the inner solar system. This theory explains the lack of super-Earths in our solar system which are otherwise quite common while there was supposed to be enough rocky material to form them
That sounds like it's part of the Grand Tack theory. I did debate on whether to include some primordial super-Earths but I went against it since I couldn't be bothered to animate more orbits.

Just so y’all realize the sheer amount of effort that went into this video, look at Venus very closely for a few seconds starting from 3:10 You will see a split frame second of Venus completely covered in lava. This is not a mistake or a glitch in the video
Part of Venus’s “transformation” into the hell it is today was a brief period in which EXTREME volcanism led to Venus being completely covered in magma and resurfaced- effectively self-terraforming itself into a barren wasteland
Screenshotted Venus completely covered in lava. It's the same image of Venus during the sun's red giant phase. Here: 5:48
3:11
It’s at exactly -700 mya in the video
That catastrophic volcanic resurfacing about 550 million years ago is also responsible for Venus's current atmosphere. All the carbon dioxide that would've been locked away into sedimentary rocks over its first two billion years, dozens of atmospheres' worth, all got baked out of the Venusian lithosphere at once. Truly a one-way trip to hell that doomed a world forever, unless we can terraform it back.

That would account for why Neptune is more geologically active than Uranus.
source?
For some reason UA-cam is not letting me post links. Look up the Nice model on Wikipedia. There’s a graphic that shows Uranus and Neptune swapping places.
Wdym neptune is more active?
@daniellogiPL I mean there’s more going on in term of weather and inner heat within Neptune than within Uranus.
Jupiter and Saturn gravities pushed it so far, even further than Uranus.

I love the coined terms for the hypothetical future eons of the Earth. By this system, the entire history of our planet goes thus:
Precambrian Supereon, 4.5 to 0.5 billion years ago: Name refers to the time before the Cambrian Explosion.
