Love this song. Such deep meaning. First verse: She is defeated, torn down and hurt wishing for the past when things were happier. Second verse: She is recovering. Healing from her wounds and escaping from her suppression. Third verse: She is reborn. Her pain and suffering have made her stronger and she is ready to leave the past behind her.
For all the people who have depression like I do, diagnosed or not, you know what I mean when I say this song describes everything perfectly. Feeling like you're tired, but you want to get up somewhere down deep, but you can't. You want to get better, or you did, and people say you will, but there's no way to see ahead. Trying to forget and remember at the same time. Don't be afraid to talk to someone about it. Even if it's a close friend, even if you don't feel like they'll understand, sometimes just putting it out there is better than suffering alone. I know it damages a person to suffer alone.
I have suffered much from this too my friend, but I cried out to Jesus and surrendered it all and now I’m at peace in a way I can’t explain. I was actually addicted to the darkness, and I’m so glad God saved me. He can save anyone, all we have to do is call on his name. True story. He loves you all. A lot of what I was allowing in my mind and heart caused this issue, but no matter the cause I turned from my old life to walk with Jesus in a new one. Repent and believe on Jesus. No one can survive on their own as the darkness grows stronger. You need his help, we all do. Jesus said come to me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. He means that and if anyone is ready to give up their struggles to the Lord, call on him now, and he will come. Blessed are the poor in spirit. I love you and I pray that your heart seeks the Lord and that you relinquish your hold on your suffering and give it to him whose shoulders can bear it all. I pray that all who read this seek Him and are healed. Even if you still struggle with it after you meet Jesus, His peace shall comfort you. The Holy Spirit is the comforter and he can soothe even the most fragile, traumatized, and broken hearted of people. I promise you this isn’t about religion, but about life and death. This is all true. This is about being reconciled back to the one who made you and loves you more than anyone can. He is real and he wants you all to be saved and at peace. He sees all of your hearts and minds. He feels and knows your pain, and he wants to take it. Please call on him and give him your life, so he can give you an eternal one filled with peace, love, and joy. And then upon his return he will give you all you need and you will never suffer again. In this life and the next you will have peace, love, joy and a family for those who don’t have one, and a new heart. He will mend your broken hearts. Sin is what cause most of this, we are born into this curse. He died on the cross for us and rose again so we could not only be free from the penalty of death, but also be free from the suffering caused by our own wrong doings and the wrongs of others. I finally broke out of a depressive spiral ❤ I’ve had depression my whole life. Although I may still be occasionally a bit depressed now, I’m so happy that I finally am able to complete basic tasks I’ve wanted to do for so long, like painting, cooking, yoga, learning, and watching shows. It’s nice to have some contentment in life. I try to take it day by day, try to lower my expectations so I’m happier, work on developing coping mechanisms other than substances. What helps me when my thinking is more depressive, is the quote, “you’ll be okay, you have no choice.”
Fun fact- they never said that humpty dumpty was an egg. The story is actually based off a real person, the "wall" is a nickname for the man's horse which he rode into battle. When he fell off the horse or "the wall" they couldn't save him and he died

Without it, innocence wouldn't be something to be valued... we wouldn't strive to preserve that part of ourselves! In the same way, many people must go through a dire experience in order to see the good in themselves and others... without a balance of light and darkness, no light would exist at all!

OMG I LOVED THAT BOOK. The books in the middle were honestly filler books but the ending was really nice and humbling. I don’t like how Aelin lost her powers but it was touching and she was happy in the end.

Next was ruby, who died unexpectedly 1 year ago. a 14hh chestnut section c welsh pony mare, she comforted me through bad times but I never rode her. After that was Socs, a 17.2hh flea-bitten-grey Irish sports horse mare, I rode her a few times and loved her, but had to be given away after a serious leg injury 2 months ago... I remember these 3 horses every day of my life

11 years ago this month I was given a 2 year prognosis because of the disease the drs found. I have outlived that prognosis by 9 years. I have to “shake the ice from my bones” every single day and I am “running fast. Outlast” to beat it and I believe “there is reason I’m still standing “ but I’ll never know if I am landing. I believe I’m standing to raise my daughter to her adult years.I do feel strong but how I wish for those simple days where I was well again, where every day everything was fine. An absolutely beautiful song. I’ll never be able to be put back together again but how I’m outrunning this illness to stay ahead of it. May anyone out there that is hurting emotionally or physically (or both) find some peace in their lives 💗

11 years ago this month I was given a 2 year prognosis because of the disease the drs found. I have outlived that prognosis by 9 years. I have to “shake the ice from my bones” every single day and I am “running fast. Outlast” to beat it and I believe “there is reason I’m still standing “ but I’ll never know if I am landing. I believe I’m standing to raise my daughter to her adult years.I do feel strong but how I wish for those simple days where I was well again, where every day everything was fine. An absolutely beautiful song. I’ll never be able to be put back together again but how I’m outrunning this illness to stay ahead of it. May anyone out there that is hurting emotionally or physically (or both) find some peace in their lives 💗
