Fugue is a great style that showcases the style of counterpoint with subjects and answers that weave together (A great example is music like No. 7 “And He Shall Purify…” by Händel and Keyboard Concerto No. 7 by Bach that I can think off the top of my head). Similar in some ways to call-and-response but more difficult to write and weave together. This song sounds more baroque because of tempo, use of a minor key, running bass lines, “baroque” cadences, sequences, and rotation around the circle of fifths, something very common in baroque music.
