Thanks yeah Ontelaunee should be getting hot in the next month. I learned last year you can catch them in March consistently but they really start biting in April. I did not film those trips because of how hard the lake has been fishing and I am trying to not blow up the spots I have been catching them at.
Thank you, I can understand why the boat is not ready the weather has been so up and down. I was installing my fish finders the week before in 45 degree temps. It was not the most comfortable thing in the world.
Nice grabs guys....hey y'all heard anything about cacoosing dates yet?? Making a trip up end of April into May to get into some good spring time PA trout fishing
It is usually the second or third weekend. Neither of us live in Spring Township anymore so we do not get the new letter. My parents usually tell me but I stopped keeping track of the cacoosing date simply because of the size of fish. I actually get more enjoyment from fishing it after everything is done for the natives and holdover browns.
@@randsoutdoors7346 yea I figured as much ashame the stocking size really went downhill and yeah holdover and native brooke and wild brown fishing is what I've migrated to over there years was up at a tributary to the Toccoa river in northern georgia late fall last year landed my first handful of wild rainbow trout was pretty cool
That is cool that seems like a special place. Idk about the center of the state but to my knowledge there is not any natural spawning rainbows in Pennsylvania. I know there are some special streams further south in the mountains. I know there is less pollution in those mountain streams as well. No coal mines are anything like that destroying the habitat.
@@randsoutdoors7346 yea only slight downside to fishing north georgia mountains is alot of the really remote places to get into some massive wild browns are on private property and half of them only allow guided tours on
Sounds about right. I am sure the guides give them a kick back. Unfortunately public access is getting less and less. I went out to Erie in November for the first time and I experienced that. There are really weird property lines up there and the only guys allowed to fish them are the guides. As far as private property increasing, up in Womelsdorf most of the Tulpehocken used to be open for public fishing. Now Basically from limestone springs to Marion golf club the whole area is closed to the public. Of course the state did nothing then to open up other areas for the first day of trout like from the red bridge down to the Schuylkill.
Plenty of access from the shore. There has always been decent fishing around the docks and bridges depending on what you want to catch. Certain spots though only hold fish a certain times of year.
Love the videos man! Ontelaunee should heat up soon! 🎣

Is there good spots for bank fishing at blue marsh
throw a dart at a map Lol This time of year some banks look like a small beach
