Oprah Winfrey interviews the 1990-1991 NBA Champion Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan. Scottie Pippen. Horace Grant. Scott Williams. Cliff Levingston.
Born in 1981 being 10 yrs old when Michael won his 1st title the 90s were the best time to be a teenager...the world was just a better place back 30 yrs ago...awesome memories n the nba was pure
Michael Jordan is such a leader, even in interviews... He has so much sheer confidence.
It's was great to be living in Chicago from 90-98 watching these bulls teams.
Could only imagine man...
I was here, born in Chicago in '81. lived through the greatest teams and times, man...
DEEP SOAK
Chi-CAGO
Boss Playa see im like u. But u gotta see mj 1st 5 years to realize how advance this nigga was.
Coming from a new yorker i can only dream of the sheer fun y'all must have had lol until 1999 that is HAHA
Watching the NBA in the 90s was the best! I'm glad I was fortunate to be a kid back then.
Me too!! The best era ever!
Me too I was 14 years old at this time in 91
@B M-YI am from the Phils. we watched the games live via satellite eastern time. Friends came and gathered in the living room, eat, drink even before the games... all were really excited. Imagine drinking early morning, those were times!

My favorite Finals performance from MJ. His athleticism and killer instincts was off the charts in that Finals.
And he was hungry!!!
Cause it was the first one. Prior to this it was just the idiot in Chicago who just knew how to score and only know how to win scoring titles so the hunger was real
@@Nnnn-zh1se You're an absolute fool if you believe that BS.
Scottie was spot on; they were the team of the 90s.
Thank God I was conceived in late April 1984 and born in January 1985. I am a proud fan of Michael Jordan. I know who is the GOAT in my lifetime. The Measuring Stick To Which All NBA Players Aspire To Be. The Standard Barrier of the NBA, then, now, FOREVER. His legacy is cemented.
who is watching on this from "The Last Dance"
Yeahhh
Did you notice they introduced scottie Pippen as scottie Williams? Wtf Oprah on
Still watching the last dance now. Check this other MJ video out. ua-cam.com/video/51Tia1CkmXo/v-deo.html
scottie pippen has a speaking voice that melts butter. he should narrate childrens' books. i'd buy that shit up and listen to that shit while i'm driving
My headphones vibrate when he speaks
He should do those sleep apps
i dont think so he couldnt put a baby to sleep with that voice
you read/listen to childrens books?
No one would have ever guessed at the end of their first championship season that a few years later Dennis Rodman would be an important part of the Bulls team.
These guys were just rockstars back in this era
mike straight got emotional when oprah asked his bestfriend what he liked most about bein mikes bestfriend, he said just being there for him helpin him, camera cut to mikes face and all you see is that lip start gettin real wiggly, can tell he got choked up about that. thats what made mike great, one of the many things. that emotion and feeling, he used them on the court too ya know :)
I miss the 90's chicago bulls!! They'll always be my favoite team! It was so exciting and they'll never be another team like them.
That was an emotional highlight of the interview. You can see why MJ has stayed friends with him. THat dude is pure solid character.
Gotta love Scottie ... I think every player has responded... at least once 😂
Scottie not so loved now

Oh yeah!
I was alive but born in September later that fall
91, 92, 93 MJ was the best MJ!
Nah prime mj started even earlier ... Id say 87-93 was peak mj
I say that because 91,92, 93 he was the complete package. At that point MJ knew what it took to be a champion. At that point he knew what it took to make the players around him better plus he could still lead the scoring while doing it. He still was an athletic freak at the point and these years especially the 91-92 season the fadeaway had just started becoming a lethal weapon in his arsenal. He was shooting that shot before that but the fadeaway really started to become lethal at that point. In his younger years he was just sooo athletic that he would just beat people with just raw athleticism, but if you look at his footwork and his overall offensive game it was still unpolished at that point. During the first three peat you couldn't do nothing with that dude. The jumpshot was lethal if you played off him, if you put somebody shorter on him his post game had vastly improved and the fadeaway started becoming more lethal because his footwork had started becoming better, and then he still could take it to the whole and dunk on cats! The second three peat his post game and fadeaway was at its peak but then he didn't possess the raw athleticism he did in his younger years. The first three peat he was the best combination of both! I agree with you that his prime years started around 87. Hell he averaged over 37 ppg that year. The next year he was MVP, and Defensive MVP, but 91, 92, 93 he was the most complete basketball player he would ever be. If 87-93 was his prime then 91-93 was his peak. Personally in my opinion the 91-92 season he was at his absolute pinnacle of all his powers not just athleticism.
Chicago Bulls is the team of the ‘90s; the best NBA era!
best music era too
I remember this. One of the best Oprah shows ever.
Scottie is TOO real for some of his teammates!
was he under the influence of truth serum?!
Fortuna Namputu is she in this video
He really did marry the women he was talking about lol
Did he say his teammates were cheating on their wives?😅😁
He is too nice and he is underrated nobody ever talks about him
Who's getting recommended MJ videos left right and center on UA-cam?! ;)
Anybody immediately thought of Fresh Prince of bel air when Carlton danced to the intro song?
Killeen Austin that’s the first thing I thought of lol
That's was the funniest Carlton dance everr 😭😂😭😂😭😂😭
That's how I know you a real one...🤣
Yes
Always lol
This is the real GOAT 🐐! Not the self proclaimed one!
No lebron is the goat
kiflizen Amen!! When you have your peers saying it & the players of today saying it, there is just no way to refute it! Just incredible & no flopping to compensate for a lack of confidence or switching to a stacked team because of a lack of confidence either lol!!!!
@@themanboy7926 Im a fan of Lebron but watching nba since 1983, Jordan is the best player I've ever seen
MJ is, was, and has been, the GOAT, not lejoke...
Too early to tell who the real GOAT is not until the game of basketball is truly over. I can't believe how pessimist people can be, we haven't seen the future of basketball yet for what we know someone might come to better than all of them. 😉👍
Damn, Scottie was D'Angelo Russelling. LOL!
Lmaaao
Man, the NBA was MUCH more exciting in this era (back then) than it is now! LOL!
Jordan looked really glad to get his first championship of his career.
Those 3 singers at the end, no autotune, just amazing singing live on early 90s tv
oh awsome scotty was really spilling the beans!
MJ's simply the best ever
The Silver Anniversary of The Chicago Bulls. Truly a very special season. Thank God I got to see it LIVE!
Everybody giggling like a teenager at 15:53, including me! 😂😂😂😂
Mike had that charisma, didn't have to do much just be himself.
I remember that year, my dad watched the Bulls winning the first NBA Championship, I was a little boy in '91
I was born in '86, I remember watching Oprah's special in '93 shortly after MJ announced his retirement - still don't remember crying so hard and for so long!
Stop lying !
u remember all that from when you were 7
@@puttinin8518 I mean, yes? what's your point?
Dude i was born in 85 and loved MJ and the bulls and in 93 my dad got us tickets to see em play ... I was so excited for months and 2 weeks before the game mike retired to play baseball wtf , still got to see scottie and grant and the rest but it wasn't the same
Back In The Days...Even The Entertainer Made An Effort To Speak Well As Well As They Could
Scottie was AWESOME!! The candor.....and the accidental honesty about everyone hitting some groupie ass at least once. 😂😂😂😂 This was a great insight into their personalities in advance of who they ('Mike and Scottie) became after years had passed and circumstances had transpired. Great stuff. Oprah didn't let up. 😂😂
Damn..Scottie be talking about groupies right in front of their wives. LMAO
This couldn't be a topic today. Way too sensitive lol would've been all over social media

I really enjoyed this video. It brings me back to a time in my life were I look back and cherish. I was 11 years old when this show aired.
2:30 - Oprah was saying Jordan was the greatest back in 1991! Alot of others were saying that around that time period too. That's when you knew you were watching the GOAT.
Exactly. He never once claimed himself to be that publicly, unlike somebody else.
It was being said even in 1989. Bobby Knight said Jordan was the best he ever saw before he even played in the NBA
It was known (generally accepted as common knowledge) that Jordan was the best basketball player ever ... even in the 1980s.
Hes not the best because he won six rings.
He won those rings because he is the best.
LOLLL they even had ray clay announce them on Oprah LOLLLL
31:51 look at the woman with the red jersey when oprah says imagine...
Victor lmao
Awesome upload. Any more great Bulls / MJ-related stuff is most welcome. Again, thank you.
Never forget this as a former bulls fan. 91 they got over the piston hump. Then played Lakers and was like team of the 80’s meet the team of the 90’s now.
Scottie ❤😍😍❤😘😘😘
i miss the 90s. People just kept it real
scottie pulled a Kobe LOL

LOOL!!!!!
I JUUST PEEPED That As I Was Reading This Comment😭😭

HUGE difference in the way Jordan carries himself compared to LJ or Kobe, not to knock Kobe tho he's great l just think Jordan is on his own level.
Horace Grant: "When you gel together you win championships." Michael Jordan: "I'm glad he put an S on that"!!!!!!! #MJ wanted more and more and then some more!!!!
Michael was the star everywhere he went and people couldn't come to grips with that. So in a group interview when most of the questions are geared towards him others tend to feel some type of way.
Thank you for this video!!! Loved it!!!
In late 90's I started to play basketball in school because Michael Jordan and Chicago Bulls. Amazing times. Later when net come I see story of Bird and Magic, what a legends they are. I love fact that Toni Kukoč from my country was part of that also. Every sport is great on its way but basketball is something above. God bless you all.
Haters in 1991 were like: They won't win again...
Wis Dom lmaooo
7 years later...
Haters: they won’t win a 6th time
Lmfaooo
Michael: And I took that personally.
I remember watching this with my uncle when it originally aired great memories!!
Oprah was trying to dig for some dirt on them...
When the game meant hardcore competition!!!! A time when you truly got acknowledged for total domination!!! & not joining each another player's team to win!!
Sadly that has become the norm... This era was priceless, one of a kind
Omg i freakin love the 90s so so so so much that's all i ever think about just imagine going to school in the 90s someone please come get me and drop me off 😩

This was a great episode all around.
Juanita seems a little shy and kind person. Anyone else get a sense of tension, though, between her and her hubby?
Totally. And he didn't let her speak her truth after his face. She pulled back. He didn't want everyone to see his vulnerable self
Michael Jordan was and still the greatest NBA GOAT 4 ever 2023
Robert that guy tried being slick with him trying to come back before leaving🤣
the bull mascot in the background lol
Juanita shaking her head no on another baby. Well y'all had Jasmine and y'all love her. Michael has two more daughters by his second wife. Girls are wonderful
And the three they had together.....talk about good genes. Jasmine is so pretty. That's a beautiful family.
Mann!! Those where some innocent times: although there was some provocative content and questionings, still there was a sense of innocence was very apparent back then; even a good sense of humor that tapered such content, even the gut honesty and the reverence to the God of the Bible with prayers going up before they popped the champagne (lol) all of that is quite refreshing to revisit.
Everybody is all slim, young, humble (noble) and handsome....lol!!
I Appreciate your commentary here. It's accurate and is very much so like visiting a time capsule for a soul who is seeking to authenticity and purity

i love hearing them talk about the pistons, has there ever been a better rivalry in basketball?
The 90s really where the best times !
Dude, literally all she said in the beginning was, “planet earth” but we already know what was poppin
damn Scottie lol imagine talking that today with social media
The early 90s was the last era were there was at least a little bit of innocence
Christian Soldier nothing says innocent like the LA riots and then famous people mudering people and almost killing themselves on live tv
FREE like OJ all Day Yeah because none of that stuff happens now a days right?
Agreed! Now because of the Internet, everyone knows everything already. You don't blindly go through life and experience things anymore!
so true man.. just watching you realize people were happier and more innocent for sure. Now everyone thinks they know everything and dont appreciate anything

It’s crazy that Jordan was already being called the goat halfway through his career.....(1991)
or maybe the jewish media wanted that? he's good player anyway, but the media has a part in brainwashing people. Russell for example isn't considered the best, cause he didn't have Jordan's hype and marketing, different era. ...
