    • @Quack_attack_
      @Quack_attack_ 3 роки тому +2

      Nah prime mj started even earlier ... Id say 87-93 was peak mj

    • @luciousthomas6141
      @luciousthomas6141 3 роки тому +4

      I say that because 91,92, 93 he was the complete package. At that point MJ knew what it took to be a champion. At that point he knew what it took to make the players around him better plus he could still lead the scoring while doing it. He still was an athletic freak at the point and these years especially the 91-92 season the fadeaway had just started becoming a lethal weapon in his arsenal. He was shooting that shot before that but the fadeaway really started to become lethal at that point. In his younger years he was just sooo athletic that he would just beat people with just raw athleticism, but if you look at his footwork and his overall offensive game it was still unpolished at that point. During the first three peat you couldn't do nothing with that dude. The jumpshot was lethal if you played off him, if you put somebody shorter on him his post game had vastly improved and the fadeaway started becoming more lethal because his footwork had started becoming better, and then he still could take it to the whole and dunk on cats! The second three peat his post game and fadeaway was at its peak but then he didn't possess the raw athleticism he did in his younger years. The first three peat he was the best combination of both! I agree with you that his prime years started around 87. Hell he averaged over 37 ppg that year. The next year he was MVP, and Defensive MVP, but 91, 92, 93 he was the most complete basketball player he would ever be. If 87-93 was his prime then 91-93 was his peak. Personally in my opinion the 91-92 season he was at his absolute pinnacle of all his powers not just athleticism.

    Mann!! Those where some innocent times: although there was some provocative content and questionings, still there was a sense of innocence was very apparent back then; even a good sense of humor that tapered such content, even the gut honesty and the reverence to the God of the Bible with prayers going up before they popped the champagne (lol) all of that is quite refreshing to revisit.

      The nba had more of a "cult" following UNTIL the Bulls won. True story: I bought the original red/white/black Jordans when they first came out in the summer of 85, and wore them the first day of school. People laughed (thinking they looked like clown shoes). The truth is, probably half of my classmates didn't know who Michael Jordan was, and probably 95% didn't know what kind of shoes he wore.

    • @FanaticForFanta
      @FanaticForFanta 5 років тому

      Uncle Tony I even heard the commenters mocking Jordan’s shoes in one of the games. But watching people’s comments really provides some context during Jordan’s time

      They were like Rock Stars. I was on my 20s during this era and they were the most popular team on the planet. In today's NBA, the only team to come close to that rock star status has been the Golden State Warriors 2015-2018.

My mother and Oprah inspired me with courage, strengh, determination and much dignity to fight, especially for our girls, to stand my ground to stop all abuse, mainly sexual. And let’s not forget Racism and Slavery, which still exist today. Much gratitude sent to you Oprah. I thank you from the bottom of my soul. May God Bless and be safe!!
