- Hey guys! I know Reboot has been out for a while now, but I thought I would give my impressions on it. I have only been playing it for a little less than a month, but it's definitely worth to check out! Hope you enjoyed and thanks so much for watching :)

Excalibur i miss it too. I didn't have any friends because I spent years trolling in henesys but it was nice to see the same people every day. Too bad I was such an idiot.
Meh. Big Bang was a good change to the game. The game only went downhill after potential was added. Prior to Big Bang is was long, boring, and monotonous. It was fun but Big Bang made it funner. Pre Big Bang was great for losers who had no life and could sit and play for 24 hours a day everyday.

I got back into maplestory yesterday after leaving years ago and downloaded the legends private server maplestory. It felt so good to see original maplestory and I might stay there. Reboot looks interesting though so might try that too.

I dont really play maplestory anymore moved on to new games but mostly busy with uni work. Maybe me and my girlfriend will play again once we have finished working but no promises. Just with life sometimes have to move on. Nice to see you are still enjoying maplestory daboki keep doing what u love ;)

+Joshua Wang It's a brand new server, and start. It won't take away your previous characters :) I have all my old characters still in Khaini~

Not really. That's why private servers will always exist.
Pre-BB was a bigger grindfest that it is now. The only good aspects about it were community and party play. Those days are long gone and even if nexon released a v.01 server, nobody is going to play it.
What about giant Spider? Does it stack?
Is maplestory viable for f2p player to start now? Because I wanted to play this game so long ago but way too p2p previously
I just came over to reboot from Luna, do I make my main first? I was thinking about building character cards and links first so I have a bit of dmg. I don't go on reboot a lot though because I dont like playing on my own. need friends lol
How crowded is Reboot? Is it still really hard to find maps for farming mesos and grinding etc?
It gets a bit crowded during peak times. It only gets hard to find a map to farm mesos during 2x, but that is expected.

I don't know how I ended up here, but i remember GMS beta all the way up until 4th jobs were released with Horntail.
This looks a lot better, where it was grind/nx based. No trading makes it more rewarding earning everything.

daboki how were you killing the monsters by just walking around? what skill is that?
It's a kanna's hyper skill, that activates a little bubble around you. I think you get it at 170? or 150, I forget. It's super helpful
The holes in maplestory will never be filled.

I was turned off by it starting with the Big Bang and for me the skinning since then just turned me off to it. I also see map hogging as a downside, not a building experience but thats just me.
+Louie Bear They did not fix the pay to win issue, but they fixed the play to win issue. I mean like they nerf new classes insanely just because they did a lot of damage without funding(real money and shit). That is one of the reasons why I only play Reboot. They do not only nerf new classes, but they also nerf old ones and make some of them change(skill changes) to the point that they are no longer playable.

when will luna server the european side will become like reboot server with the meso old skoolsystem gameplay maplestory as i play luna and cant play reboot as it crashes my computer and network as i dont live in america but when will luna become like reboot world??
Do you think everyone should make a Kanna for mesos? I play on a Luminous, the farming is good, but Kanna seem so much better for mesos, kinda sad since I dont wanna play Kanna, but I need mesos...

It's not bad! It does take sometime to get started, since characters can't share equips, and you have to work for all your items yourself. No trading :/
TheDaBoki i actually dont mind about trading cuz in maplestorysea i play alone and farm mesos from mob and do alot of quest.if you dont mind can give the link to download the maplestory xD

What items ("skills") do you give to your pets? I gave automove and it doesnt even move to the mesos 😭
The movement distance is very short, need to get the upgraded length, but even then it's pretty short.
Can I stack the upgraded distance with the regular one? Its so lame i even got the one where theyre supposed to go multi leveled maps and nothing 😭
Yes, I do believe you can stack it. There is a package in the cs shop for 4k that gives you everything. I know, the pets AI are not very advanced. They don't go and jump on plats very often :/

Nexon was talking about how ems and gms are going to be combined and ems will be caught up and join gms :D go to Sorrowful Memory's channel and there is a video on that!

Nice you got 20% on legendary. I'm only on epic on my corsair and he ended up also obtaining like 10% mesos on that ability

Pets are very important? Pets are the ONLY way to play in this server. You can't get anything unless you buy a pet. Still better than the other servers though.

oh i know just being dramatic, i don't think i will ever go back to the other servers though. I could never bring myself to spend NX on cubes even though i spend quite a lot of money on cosmetics, its just gambling, i can't be down with that.

People said it was just the big bang update that ruined maplestory, but in my opinion it was the continual addition of p2win crap. Along with the emptiness of maps, because so many channels were introduced and etc.

The audio is a little messy, but it could just be me.
The one thing I have to disagree with is these guilds and alliances hoarding maps to keep them for themselves to farm during 2x events. That's not 'building the community' in my opinion. That's selectively benefiting yourself and a few others and forcing solo players and newbies to suffer and go without.

I disagree with your statement that reboot server has self developing system. Although trading in Maplestory is one of important system that connects users together. In modern Maplestory with many users, there are many items in stock and you can just buy them and stronger faster and easier by yourself. In reboot, you cannot really get stronger by yourself. There is a limit to it. You must get into a guild and get and give support to people to become stronger ultimately.(Kill strong boss and getting items) I found original server very boring, because amount of effort you spend doesn't really value as much as in reboot server. Its more about buying and selling item but not really rpg. I miss old time Maplestory where every single small step had value to it.

Yes i'm from EU. Played back in 2005 with a few friends using hotspotshield and all that. EU Maple story is meh.. I want to play on GMS and on a ReBoot server.

MapleSEA: It wasn't a revenue driven decision to omit Reboot World. Both AS (Asiasoft) and NX (Nexon) knew that *Reboot World caused a lot of chaos and crazy bugs to the game*. This was the main reason why it was omitted. However, should the various issues be fixed, we do not rule out introduce the Reboot World in the future.
May need to check with the KMS/GMS players regarding the chaos and bugs they are talking about..
