Awesome video. It would've been even better if you included the location of all beaches in gmaps so that one can see how far apart they are. Crete is a big island and it's not possible to visit all of them in 10 days so I could at least focus on the close ones depending on my place of stay

I have a question:are near preveli and seitan límania beaches from Heraklion?
Preveli is 110 kilometers from Heraklion and Seitan Limania 150 kilometers.....but worth the effort both beaches....if you go to Preveli dont forget to stop to Kourtaliotis gorge is very nice!but for both beaches have shoes with you becouse you will need to walk in difficult terrain......

I would also add Mazida Ammos Beach, It is one of the best kept secrets in Crete!!
You are right!The beaches of Xerokambos are amazing and will come soon video!I think they are not crowded because of the distance and because of Vai...Vai is more popular and everybody go there...
@@holidayexpertscrete You are right, the distance and also the access, because although it is a paved road it is not for newbies, but it is a spectacle of nature that is worth knowing. I can’t wait to see your next videos of Xerokampos beach!!
We were there last June but the weather didnt help,was to windy and wavy so the footage doesnt look so attractive,but the plan is to go back soon with better conditions,Thank you for your kind words and your support!!!😊

Το 1974 είχα πάει στην Κέρκυρα ειμουν δέκα επτά ετών πάρα πολύ όμορφα περασαμε ειμασταν γύρο στα είκοσι με είκοσι πέντε παιδιά υπόλοιποι γονείς και κάποια μεγάλα άτομα το πούλμαν μας αφίσες στην Παλαιοκαστρίτσα που κάναμε μπάνιο μετά φαγητό και μπρος στην Ηγουμενίτσα έξι ημέρες φανταστικές αυτό που βλέπω έχουν αλλάξει όλα τα μέρη που βλέπω τώρα μαζί με τα τοπία και εγώ βλέπεις άλλο δέκα επτά και άλλο εξήντα επτά αυτό στους νέους περάστε όμορφα γλεντιστε την κάθε στιγμή ο χρόνος δεν γυρνά πίσω.😢

Spectacular! Does anyone know how Koufonisi Island is related to Crete? It’s listed as one of the top 10 yet as far as I can tell it’s a totally disconnected island unless I’ve missed something. Happy for any feedback on this…
Hello!i think that you are confused becouse of the name....the Koufonisi or Lefki island that you see in video is an island just few miles south of Crete exactly like Chrissi island and is not related with koufonisi in Cyclades that are more popular! Koufonisi or Lefki island in video is located about 10 miles South East from Makry gialos and belongs at the region Lasithi of Crete

@@holidayexpertscrete Einmal war ich schon auf Kreta eine Woche, aber soweit habe ich mich nicht erkundigt und wusste leider nichts von diesen Stränden. Hatte auch so tollen Urlaub gehabt und schöne Strände besucht, nur dies ist wirklich Paradis, vor allem Vai Beach, Balos und Elafonisy. Mein Koffer ist seit 2020 bereit, aber da haben sie alles storniert. Der Koffer ist doch immer noch bereit für diesen Sommer!!! Ich könnte heulen😢.
ich drück die daumen dass dieses Jahr wird es funktionieren....Das covid mach kein spuss mehr.....wenn du mochtes subscreib das du sofort die neue videos bekomst 😉

You dont need to take any ship for Vai beach, bus is enough from Heraklion central bus station to Sitia and from Sitia to Vai beach

www.ktelherlas.gr/en/ Thats the website for east Crete but as i see there is not yet added the bus for Vai propably will be later in High season i tried call the bus station but the phone center is to busy i ll try call again tomorow and i ll let you know.

in my opinion the best beache of Crete is at chrissi beach.
Chrissi is very beautiful but for me is in second place with Balos,first in my opinion is Elafonisi!!!but it has to do not only with the place but with the moment and the company too!!!😉😊
can you get to all these places without a car ?
For Chrissi island and koufonisi island you need to go with ship, from Ierapetra port leave every day in season several ships for Chrissi island and the trip is about an hour. For Koufonisi you need to take the ship from Makry gialos port there is a ship called Evdokia doing in season everyday a cruise to koufonisi
to the other beaches you can drive there just for Balos beach Preveli beach kolokytha beach and Seitan limania beach you will need to walk also a bit in paths for 15-40 minutes
*for Balos there is also the option of ship cruise from Kasteli port which is recomended becouse you will visit also the island of Gramvousa and is worth it go because of the ruins of the castle on the top and the great view

@@rantg Yes drive there with car or book excursion in travel agencie and go with bus.....you will find easy excursions for the most popular beaches.....

Not impressed at all.. I love a lot wide beaches with vast silky white sand, dunes & of course blue clear water... These beaches here hardly shown any sand in them at all, nor silky white.. Give me Cornwall in the south west of England instead any day..!!!!
You are right not all of them are with silky white sand but visit them will be an unforgetable expiriance trust me in this...but Elafonisi beach Balos Lagoon and beaches in Chrissi island are exactly like you descreibe and with so many shades of crystal blue water that no video can show you or you cant even imagine....so i suggest visit them and then i would like to hear your impressions!
P.S Dont visit them in high season beacouse are everywhere overcrowded....i suggest May or after 10 of September for the Best possible experiance.
P.S.2 I never been in Cornwall beaches but in video and photos look very beautiful too!
