Don't worry, it's a paid actor. He had to do something to gaslight people so that there isn't a repeat of the dashound incident. He could have chosen someone who wasn't an extra on NCIS though
My man! Please upload more. I was just telling friends about your Starsector and Kenshi lessons. This is perfect. I’d love to see relatively unmodded Kenshi (do whatever qol you need) and modded Starsector (so many to pick from). Your channel has helped me actually enjoy both these games on my own. Thanks!
Glad you like it. I know it's a change of pace, but this format makes it easier to post consistently, which is what I want the most for our community here.
YO NEW SERIES. Amazing, really looking forward to this, it's insane how much you learn watching a super experienced player. A couple of notes, in no particular order: Had no idea bad injuries to the head, chest or stomach came with debuffs. Can we get a list in the next episode of exactly which boss animals you plan to take down? It'll help less experienced players like myself to keep track of what's going on and how the series is progressing, how much further we have to go, what's next, etc. LOVE the facecam, though severely disappointed you are not a anthropomorphic hamster in a ball in real life. Ruka's not a guaranteed spawn in Squin. Her spawns favour it, but she can be in any Shek Kingdom city. I usually find her in Admag if she's not in Squin. TITUS OMFG dayum boy Love the concept, love the fact that you're continuing educational content, very much looking forward to seeing the base location and design and to the rest of the series as a whole!
My 3 most of used starts are rock bottom, holy sword, and cannibal hunters. Menagerie is the word you are thinking of. Think of the song Prince Ali from Disney's Aladdin. If there is one thing, I would beg you to do to help show others, is use the slave shops to buy the freedom of more advanced NPC types that would be gettable without any mods. The common Dust Bandit Bowman and Grass Pirate are among the best for ranged unit starters, common outlaw swordsmen are extremely reliable units for front lines. If you can find them right at the cusp City Hero Bosses with a strength nearly equal to Agnu can be gotten if RNG has put their total stats at 75 or less. But really even saving slaves from holy mines is a pretty safe and easy way to get unites that will be in the teens and early 20s for stats and skills.
So I watched most of this last night, been playing Kenshi for 2 weeks (or 100 hours) and I had no idea that I didn’t know how to fight. I was able to take down 4 spider bots tonight with 6 guys who have combat stats in the 40s and would have had no chance if I hadn’t played it tactically. Lost a limb but no deaths.
This topic has been on my mind a lot lately. It's not as simple as blunt > bleed. Because if you have no armor, bleed does a ton of damage over time and KOs/kills characters. Blunt on the other hand is better at punching through armor, but your characters won't bleed out. In this episode, if we would have started out fighting starving bandits, we may have taken longer to recover from the blunt damage, but we would be much less likely to get killed. This is also why polearms are so heckin good. You get armor penetration and some bleed so they're great against all enemy types.
Awesome that you're doing a Kenshi playthrough! I kinda wanted to reach out and ask for you to do one lol. Can you list all the mods you are using in the description please?
Blunt damage is not healed slower. For flesh characters it is healed the same speed and is seperate to the healing of cut damage. This means a character hit with a weapon that does 50% blunt and 50% cut will heal that health twice as fast over a weapon that does 100% blunt/cut. Source - Frankiewuzhere
@9:38 I've played this game for an embarrassing amount of hours and haven't thought of that. This'll come in handy now that my KB doesn't have an f row. Great content as always, hope this channel continues to grow.
Great idea for a video series! It was your channel that got me into Kenshi, and this will probably get me back into it too lol Love the editing on it too, raw livestream uploads are channel killers IMO
Solider drones are slept on, Ray is just as mandatory as beep in my book. The soldiers can eat literal garbage and scale just as good as sheks, Because they get and attack bonus I usually give them foreign sabers to balance their stats and it just works my dudes
Cool to see you post a pt. I was watching some base location videos of yours again the other day. One thing about cut and blunt damage healing: it may seem the way that cut damage is healing faster but it isn't. My guess is that it's because of the bar and how it fills up again. Some kind of optical illusion thingy. It can be easily timed. This doesn't mean that cut and blunt damage aren't different. Early game I try to avoid cut. In later game stages I try to mitigate blunt as best as possible. Your vid here makes a good showcase about cut dmg in early game. Anyway, looking forward to how your pt continues.
I usually strength train by carrying water from one end of the base to the onother. I burden a crew member with a backpack of iron ore. and runs from wells to barrels.

Skeletons keeping NPCs (eg: faction leaders) in a zoo with the guards being tamed animals is a hilarious idea though.
This is brilliant 👏. Have the animals roam free and the "zoo" is all the faction leaders. Tengu is about to get kidnapped...
Randomly i got your videos recommended thru YT. I haven't played kenshi in a long while but you made me reinstall with my huge mod list!

For aesthetics, you can add the Gorillo Pelt Scarf and BBgoat's Beastforge mods. If you play as hunters, then do it with style! :)
Was about to rant until you said beepis part of the plan
Beep is always a part of the plan. Just as Okran intended
Was about to do the exact same thing, man
Finally, it's a Kenshi playthrough we're looking for.

Very nice! Those spider bots are a menace
I didn't realize that about blunt vs cut damage. I guess I never really paid attention to the whole bar going down versus it becoming red.

Amazing first episode.
Thanks Jigsaw, great to hear from you again!
Also, there are two bars in Squin. Ruka appears in the first Shek city you go to, so if she's not in one bar, she's in the other.
