    ... pendulums to draw pictures. It was probably invented in 1844 by the Scottish mathematician Hugh Blackburn. And although it was a popular salon amusement in Victorian England, it has been almost completely forgotten until today. This is not surprising, since the devices were usually heavy and unwieldy.
    An exception is this mini-harmonograph which, thanks to the latest materials such as aluminum and 3D printing, is so light and handy that it is now possible to demonstrate this fascinating technology wherever a table is available.

      Thank you my friend. I hope so, too, but the target group might be rather small. There are probably not many people who want a Harmonograph and own a 3D printer. Stay healthy too

    That just sent me back in time :-)
    A long, long time ago, I built a simple one, with just a piece of heavy wood, large enough to hold an A4 sheet of paper, suspended in 4 strings and some improvised hangers for the strings and the marker pen (I may still have a folder somewhere with the better looking graphs). This is several levels above that primitive thingy, and using 3D printed parts just turns it into a professional looking tool! Well done!

    Sehr schön der "Kleine" ist sehr kompakt und wirklich ein gutes Bastelprojekt nam kann die Teile vielleicht auch aus Holz bauen.
    Ist halt nicht so dynamisch mit 2 Achsen als mit 3 wie der "Große"
    Freue mich schon auf die Pläne

    Für diesen Harmonograph biete ich eine Bauanleitung in meinem Etsy-Shop an. Allerdings biete ich auch eine verbesserte Variante an, die nur 750 Gramm wiegt und sehr leicht zu transportieren ist und zudem unschlagbar preiswert ist. Hier ist der Link:
