The Dalai Lama is just a man, he's has led a luxurious and privileged life and has never experienced a true hardship. He is not a reliable source for life's paradoxes or struggles. You should move on from this man.

He lost his whole country, saw about 1/6 of the entire tibetan population get killed, and has lived in exile for 50+ years. He sees Tibetans every week who have traveled across the Himalayas into exile after much suffering, and they are his people. I think he’s seen and experienced more hardship than most of us can imagine.
