    I did this for years, as part of my moving and storage business. Dave hits a lot of good points. But, it is often feast or famine. To be successful, you will need repeat and referrals. You must be professional and you must answer the phone and return phone calls. You will need to develop relationships with realtors, property managers, Sheriffs department etc. I charged by the hour, so I had a pretty good grasp on my expenses. This is a real business, you have to pay taxes! I can’t tell you how many guys I knew that had garnishments and liens on their property.

    I had a friend in High School, who's family owned a junk removal company. This was 59 yrs ago. I do believe it can be done.

    Thanx again for the gems Dave. I do remember as a kid I was about 23 I helped a friend remove a bunch of junk from the back of a house that was about to be up for sale. I was mad tired as shit afterwards because it was only the two of us. He was cheap with the pay so all his usual guys quit on him. I told him give me $250 or he's on his own! He agreed and we got it done in an hour. Plus he was kind of weak himself. He saw how valuable I was and wanted me to help him on other jobs, but I only did that as a favor to him. Plus his weak ass had no real strength. I was a Semi Pro about to turn Pro Halfback with 2000 LB pushing strength in my legs. Plus I was making good money as a Funk Bassist and racing Crotch Rockets on the weekends, so I needed my strength.
    However you have reminded me of how lucrative that business can be.
    Thanx again SUPER DAVE!

    Hi Super Dave, there few junk removal men in my part of the city I live in I see them every week hauling pick-up loads off in their green pick-up I never ask them what they make.
    My garage burned down so I hired a trucking company bring me a big dumpster to load all the burned-up garage Pices of wood and the stuff that burned up in the garage it cost $350.00 per day to have that dumpster but me and my youngest brother got it all clean up in 2 days then the truck haul it away. I have no idea what junk removal charges now days.
    This cost was from 2004 year that was a long time ago. My insurance sent me $7,500.00 check for loss of the garage. This is my first time watching your video uploads. Thanks for sharing.

      I used to for Sears some years back delivering appliances, etc. Sometimes the customer would want us to take their old appliances out and we would go to the city dump/landfill to drop it off. I don’t know how they do it at other landfills in other states/cities but I’m sure it’s the same. Whatever you have your garbage/ junk on you have to get on this scale. There is a man or woman that will print you out a ticket telling you how many pounds it is. That’s how they determine how much you will pay. The weight of it.

    1 Corinthians 15:1-4
    KJV Bible
    [1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
    [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
    Ephesians 2:8-9
    KJV Bible
    [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
    [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
    Romans 10:9-13
    KJV Bible
    [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
    [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
    [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
    [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
    [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
    John 3:16
    KJV Bible
    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    John 14:6

    Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

    Its possible i have done it off and on in the past, but its not consistant, its better to do several things at once. I did lawns, landscape, tree trimming, moving, hauling, clean outs, storage units and various small handyman jobs all at once when i was younger. There used to be just tons of small jobs listed on gigs on craigs, but not for years now. I used to just drive around and stop when i saw a house with problem trees, junk, overgrown lawn, rickety fence whatever and offer to clean it up, see something on side of road to resell? Pick it up. See scrap, pick it up. Do several things at once.
    You also used to be able to make good money reselling, scraping, garage sales, thrifting, going thru trash, dumpster diving, pallets, on and on, but too many people do it now to make good money, some money yep, but not good money. Also anyone can sell stuff online and lookyp prices online, so its harder to resell. All of this is still possible, but much harder now.
    If youre young with a truck i would suggest tree trimming/removal, and lawns/landscaping theres big money in that. If you can speak Spanish, hire day labor at home depot and rake in the bucks. Good luck
