You guys have been asking for another fondant wedding cake. I hope this is worth the wait! Stained glass hand painting is so beautiful, and I loved creating this for you.

Materials
* 6" round cake - 5" high
* 8" round cake - 3" high
* 10" round cake - 5" high
* Food colours Sugarflair Claret, Pink, Spruce Green, Americolor Mint Green and Lemon
* 16" round cake board
* Piping bag
* Coupler
* Piping tip No. 3
* Royal Icing
* Clear alcohol - I don't use rose essence for this, as it changes the colour of the food colours.
* Small paintbrushes

Wow. I love stained glass and the beautiful intricate designs created with it like you see with lamps, ornate doors and windows, especially in many cathedrals. To recreate that style on a cake is truly artistic and very impressive. This is certainly a unique and original type of wedding cake with such elegance. Just beautiful!

I made my first stained glass cake for a party at a glass blowing studio. I had never heard of this before so I was pretty much on my own. It was very similar to the method used in that I used royal icing to pipe my black "lead " outlines , but to get the stained glass effect instead of painting with food coloring I took various jellies and heated them and added cornstarch to make them a thicker consistency. I used jellies and not jams to avoid seeds and pulp which would not be transparent but I imagine if you really wanted to use a strawberry jam or if you had blueberry jelly that wasn't as clear as you would like I suppose you could put it through a fine strainer
All Fruit brand makes an extensive list of jellies including cherry, strawberry , pineapple and many others and all in vivid shiny colors.

Wow! You're so amazing! You know what some cake decorator use pattern and trace it first onto the cake covered in fondant then they follow the mark or traced pattern by piping for the result. You have so much talent on this!
