The more I see of Simon, the more I think he’s a top trainer, rider, and very sweet guy. Loved the way he he doesn’t use his hands on the approach to a jump, voice and body weight instead. Really interesting vlog Meg. 👏🏻
Simon has an incredibly kind and supportive way of teaching, which he adjusts to each person's strengths and weaknesses, that is such a difficult thing to do as well as he does.
Omg I love this!! I love at 9:13 how Simon did a voice for Wilma and said, “I know it was terrible, I couldn’t help it. It’s all Meg’s fault.” 😂 That was priceless
Simon has lovely soft hands, he rides completely off the leg which is a pleasure to watch. You and Wilma are going in the right direction, building her confidence and strength.
I absolutely adore Simon and how he handles horses. He is so sweet with Wilma and just seems like an overall awesome person! Also, how good does Wilma look in this video? She‘s amazing and sooo cuteeeee!
I can't stress how much I love Simon's personality such a lovely person and his Irish accent was so funny. I love how he rides and treats the horses. #simonneedshisownyoutube
Simon .... what's not to like? Just love Simon😊 You could see Wilma responding to Simon's supporting her. You have a cracking horse, Meg. Can't wait to see her progress❤
I absolutely adore Simon!!! The best instructor for riding lessons and horse trainer and how could i forget ... he is also a superb therapist for rehabilitation for both horse and rider. Thank you Meg for sharing your riding experiences with us all. So many insightful things learned from watching Simon involved and invested in your advancements. It is such a relief to hear that Wilma has much hope for her development that all your efforts are not for loss and that Simon was able to find the pulse and knows what to fix and focus on in Wilma's new training adjustments. It won't be long and Wilma will be bringing in the blue ribbons in competition on the horizon.
Don't know how I missed a Simon video, but here I am, weeks late. He's easily my favorite guest you've had on the channel. He's such a positive, funny, encouraging presence, and I love it whenever he's able to join you!
I love to see those dapples - a sure sign of a well-cared for horse. What a bloom on Wilma's coat! Seeing Simon ride Wilma gives a slightly different perspective on how Wilma's doing. She definitely seems to prefer taking the right lead, rather than the left. Listening to Simon's assessment was really informative, too. Awesome vlog, Meg! More like this, please!
@@moonsmilk333 A sign of health. Not all horses will get them, however. Most common on bays. Good diet, plus a LOT of grooming! Sunshine may also be a factor. Rarely seen on greys. Have you noticed that all of Meg's horses have shiny coats, though, even the greys?
@@DeborahHamilton-q1w Meg's horses are all absolutely lovely, and her facility and big paddocks are great. I love little Ettie's beautiful Palomino dapples especially!
Love Simey and how he rides. He is calm and confident. I also love that he figures it out almost right away. That is huge because when you are riding, you can't always tell. (not just you Meg, but everyone) On the ground, it puts everything in a different perspective. He rides so beautifully and makes it look so easy. Plus, he gave you a little to work on! Well done!!!
I LOVE Simon. Everything is always so relaxed and fun with him, even when working on serious things, such a good instructor/coach! He explains things so well, and there are lots of similarities with Wilma and my pony, especially the leg supporter as opposed to enforcer! I always learn so much from your riding vlogs, thank you so much!
I could watch a video of Simmy riding and having a microphone to comment his riding and the horses actions every week. Nothing but ❤❤❤ And he is spot on in his comments on what you need to do while riding Wilma! You can absolutely do it 🥰
Simon is the sweetest kindest man and explains to you what you need to do Meg is the nicest way. He’s so gentle with any horse and it’s lovely to watch.tfs🤗🏇🤗
Simon is so informative and wonderful to watch. I am very inspired by this vlog! He makes so much sense whilst still showing care for the horse 🫶🏽and you two together are so funny 😂
Apart from being hilarious, what a kind and supportive rider he is and a fantastic coach. He never puts you down but encourages you to improve on the important things in a way that makes you want to do better. Can you send him to Australia please😂❤
This is the second video I've seen today featuring Simon! He is brilliant! And Wilma is so lovely - what a great outline in canter and what a lovely jump.
I always love when any of you have lessons with Simon. I learn so much. His teaching style is excellent and he is very kind to his horse as well as to the riders.
I think we need a Simon teaches Pete vlog on Wilma! Take one for the lads Pete, some of us watch megs content too! :) Wilma looks cracking Meg, you’re sound such an amazing job with her 🎉
Wilma looks soooooo good! I didn't recognize her on the instagram post lol 😂 it looks like she's grown a lot, both in height and muscles - also her self carriage, to be honest! Nice work! ❤
I want to be taught by him so badly. Also can I just say I love how you both call the horses darling. Maybe that's a British thing, I'm Irish and we always just say "ya little shit" 😂 no I'm kidding I say girlie or bud depending on the gender but I just think your "darling" is so sweet
It's all about Simon....😅. Oh how I wish he was around when I was riding. So lovely in all respects, and does a good Scotish or Irish accent 😂. Wilma is looking great. We knew she had scope, but seeing Simon jump her proves she has great ability.
Talk about unexpected spooks,…..my horse spooked at the blossom falling from the tree we were stood under waiting to cross a road. My friend’s horse spooked at his fur dropping a round his feet as he was being clipped even though he had been clipped many times before. Horses are so funny on how they keep us on our toes.
Love this video and and when Simon talks, he explains things so well and is so kind to rider and horse. Maybe a video idea you could do soon is free jump Wilma?
You know Meg (I could be wrong) but Wilma reminds me a bit of Dee. Now Dee is an amazing horse and she always puts her and your safety first, I hope that makes sense? Maybe thinking back to your old days of training Dee might help? Just a thought honey. Much love and safety to you all. Big hi to Tina and the girls (oops love to you Pete). Love Kym - Western Australia x P.S. As a grandma of the channel (outing myself ha ha) I have the most amazing daughter for you Simon. Jeez sounds like I'm giving her away, goodness!!! Be safe all you equestrian-ites!!!!
It's the TB in her, they are very cleaver and always thinking of ways to get out of work. The brain is always going. Once they resign themself to doing it they are awesome.
Love the way Simon speaks for the horse, during the first 5 minutes……….”😮OH!….that’s big” Love the way Simon gets Wilma to from 2 ground polls to 110cm in one session. With Meg having 9 horses to look after, it’s impossible to dedicate the time to Wilma and put in the amount of practice that is needed.
The more I see of Simon, the more I think he’s a top trainer, rider, and very sweet guy.
Loved the way he he doesn’t use his hands on the approach to a jump, voice and body weight instead.
Really interesting vlog Meg. 👏🏻
Simon's monologue of Wilma's thoughts is possibly my favourite thing 😂 we definitely need more Simmy content, he is just ace
How I love Simon and he is bang on. That little mare is priceless and has massive capacity. Ride forward Girl.
Meggy we need MORE SIMON CONTENT!! Also Wilma cleared that HUGE oxer so easily!!
Simon has an incredibly kind and supportive way of teaching, which he adjusts to each person's strengths and weaknesses, that is such a difficult thing to do as well as he does.
Ride with your legs as a supporter rather than enforcer. Wise words from Simon! ❤
Simon is great. Knowledgeable, experienced, engaging to listen to but above all, he is kind. Good humans make for good horses.
He summed up exactly what was needed from you and Wilma said in a very kind and constructive way ❤❤❤❤
I absolutely adore Simon and how he handles horses. He is so sweet with Wilma and just seems like an overall awesome person!
Also, how good does Wilma look in this video? She‘s amazing and sooo cuteeeee!
I love how kind and sweet Simon speaks to the horses, imagine how nice the world would be if humans spoke to each other like that 😂
5:47 the little “hi affie” 😂
Thoroughly enjoyed this! More Simon riding your horses please 🙏🏻♥️🥰 And Wilma did amazing!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I can't stress how much I love Simon's personality such a lovely person and his Irish accent was so funny. I love how he rides and treats the horses. #simonneedshisownyoutube
