Anya still looks great
She does!
I was thinking the same thing
The graveyard upheaval in Children still remains the greatest dead bodies coming out of the ground scene in any horror movie! My husband saw it when he was little and still loves that movie to this day!💀
I'm glad you pointed this out. That piece is almost as if the earth/graves are giving birth, or squeezing out, the zombies. It's things like this that make me appreciate the movie so much. It's a birthing scene.
Anya may not have had many lines, but "Something is going to happen tonight. I can feel it." Is the best line in the movie. (I hope I remembered that correctly)
I have always said the same exact thing.
I will NEVER forget this movie. It really made an impression on a 12 year old girl in 1974 at the Drive In.
I agree! Premonition feeling!
So these are the people responsible for my sleep deprivation in 1979...
HEY, IT'S TOM SAVINI'S BROTHER!!! say Hi to Tom for us
I just want to say that this movie
had the best grave yard sound
effects of all times there's nothing
can top that grave yard sound and
scene.
It’s true - I saw it at 7 years old and Now I’m 46 and still find it terrifying . The sounds have a frequency that gets into your bones .
I was 8 or 9 when I saw this movie. I would never be same.
More than any other film I saw on late night TV as a kid, this one stayed in my memory more than all others. There is just something about it that made it uniquely unforgettable.
Tell me about it. Know exactly what you mean.
This movie scared the shit out of me when i was a kid...i was born in 1973...i had to sleep with the lights on until i was 12 because of this movie...thanks guys...great job!
Wow, so awesome to see these people in the same room together again!
I remember seeing this movie in the '70s. Despite the humor, it ultimately scared the hell out of me. It really had a sense of dread that lead you to the climax. So good seeing these people after so many years!
@Konga 5000 - Yes! Part of what made it so disturbing was it started out kind of light (though mysterious) so you thought it would be tongue in cheek. But it got dead serious at the end and the horror of seeing all your "friends" killed was a serious shock!
I loved watching that movie on WOR channel 9 Fright Night when I was a kid in Albany, NY. I thought it was even better than NLD.
The good old days. Scared me as a kid on channel 9 too
I lived in Albany NY at the time as well. Clinton Avenue before it changed.
@@davidridgeway2317 I actually lived north of the city in Loudonville. My family was one of the first to get cable tv on our street and that was one of the first movies I saw.
Girl, when Alan runs up to the bedroom after sacrificing Anya to the zombies, and he thinks he's safe and turns around and sees Orville SITTING up and looking at him....I about shat my pants.
Anya is still gorgeous! One of my favorite movies... grew up watching it on Creature Feature in Detroit!
Thriller Double Feature, TV20!
This was a staple of the local tv “Creature Feature Theater” shows on Saturday nights. It was perfect for tv. While it had minimal blood, nothing that you could call gore, it had great make up and such a creepy atmosphere that it made everything effective for the viewer. I have the DVD and I always come back to this one for the memories and fun.
BTW: Shame on Alan for what he did to Anya. Even the zombies were shocked. ;)
Any chance you are from Michigan? As very young kid it came on in the summer. It was the afternoon strangely and i believe it was some type of chiller thriller shown in summer time afternoon's on weekends that showed scary movies.
Oh my goodness, I was just zipping around and this showed up. I saw this when it came out, friggin fangtastic movie. Orville scare the 💩 out of many a person that night. The whole movie in general, just great.
One of my favorites! Saw it late-night tv. In my teens scared me never forgot it! Had the dvd someone stole it! I need to replace it! Thanks Alan and Anya and the rest of the cast! Bravo!❤
Best Horror Film Ever Made.
Atmospheric Genius Unsurpassed To This Day !
Incredible to see this group together!
Great reunion, thank you for sharing. This movie was underrated. It was a great movie.
I saw this movie at the Drive in when I was about 11 or 12 years old, around 1974. Dad didn't enjoy Horror Movies, so My mom took me and my sister. It was the scariest movie I had ever seen. Became a fan of Zombies. Although this movie was almost too scary. It was really creepy. Looking back it seems more campy, but for the day it was actually really hip and really really scary.
Best zombie film ever. Loved it since I was a kid and saw it on KCRG's Creature Feature. Is the soundtrack available somewhere? Best graveyard music. It's amazing that the same director and composer did this and A Christmas Story. True classics!
I was there! A happiest time of my life
"What are you gonna do with it??" "Just cover it with some dirt..."
This movie has the best raising of the dead scene I've ever watched....stand the hair on anybodies neck.
OH MY GOD...at the end Zombies on the boat...back...I WAS A KID AND I was watching alone and got me thanking THEY COMING TO GET ME
It's the shank of the evening!
Saw this many years ago, loved Alan's obnoxious behavior and this show in general. Anya for her age looks amazing.
I'm sad that Val Mamches isn't around any more and couldn't be a guest for this 😢. She was my favourite in Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. I've loved this movie since the 80's.
A classic creature feature on Saturday afternoon. I wish they remake this one with a bigger budget but still keep the creep feel of the film but add the Zombie gore of course...
Nice im from Michigan and in 80s it used to come on chiller thriller or something on weekends in summer afternoons.
Alan is so funny in that movie.Great film
Love this movie!
Oh dear, look what time has done..
I was a 12 year old when it first showed...
Im now 62....ouch !
Just watching it on Twitch..funny !
Orville waiting ,sitting up ,in the only safe space after alan sacrificed onya (hopefully spelled right) lolo,Shes still my favorite actress .Still my top 5 movie.Thank you .
I remember seeing the promos as a kid.. wanted so bad to see this film but. Rural canada. 1970 Not much chance
Cool! Alan I just found this❤
First I'm hearing that Paul was played by Anya's BROTHER! Had NO idea they were related!!!
Crushed so hard on Anya in 1980 that in 2008 I named my daughter Anya. I'm pretty sure she would kick Zombie ass.
CSPwDT is an underrated gem.
Seth.
Anya still looks great!😂💅❤👩
good show !
...i have the VHS clamshell : )))
Wow, ZERO questions for Anya. How disrespectful.
Does anyone know what happened to Paul?? Roy?? Emerson?? I've tried looking them up just to see where life took them but I can't find ANYTHING
thought it was the best start of a horror movie. great movie thanks for this
I`ll have to look this up to see who played who because I only recognize two people .... I saw this movie over 45 years ago and I never forgot it.
I have the dvd and dvd for 'Deathdream'....filmed just north of me in Florida...
Was hoping they would ask about Jeff Gillen and Val...
I only recently found Children Shouldn't . I couldn't hhelp but get the Scooby Doo vibe from it .I wonder if Hanna Barbera patterned their cartoon the way they did after seeing Children ?
Scooby Doo Where Are You was already over by the time Children came out.
Nah. That would've involved zombies chasing the cast through a corridor with different doors. 😁👍!
I just watched this movie yesterday and the zombies coming out from the graves reminded me Michael Jackson's Thriller video but then I realize, this is from 1972 .Anyways great scary movie
I remember seeing this as a kid new really scared to f*** out of me but then I get I see the day did the reunions and hopefully they let things go bygones be bygones and they are all friends at the end of the day and I just wonder if they're going to do a reboot of this movie if they do I hope they do an excellent job
I was probably only 10 when I saw this. Saw it at the Drive In.
It's a shame that Bob Clark and Alan Ormsby had a huge falling out. Ormsby was fired off of "Popcorn (1991)." Clark was the producer, but said he had no control over the firing.
wtog tampa florida dr. paul
Camera close up please.
Ah... Ah... AAAAARRRRRRHHHHHHH!!!!
Lol!!
My response exactly!...😁👍
Great stuff I just wish they would all that on you speak a little bit more
