Saw this as a kid on TV Saturday matinee. SO epically cheesy and awesome, up there with Destroy All Monsters, Attack of the Mushroom People, and The Creeping Flesh! And that theme song! LoL
The chattering noise that the Green Slimes make in the movie are also made by the Hidrer Soldiers in the Super Sentai Series, Dengeki Sentai Changeman.
There's a science fiction radio app (Roswell UFO Radio) that plays this radio version of the trailer for this movie about 10 times a day. And it just made me laugh to actually see the trailer instead of just hearing it.
I just picked this one up. I haven't watched it yet because it just arrived yesterday with like 12 other Archive releases. I did watch Operation Crossbow and The Hidden. Both were great movies!
As a little boy I badly wanted to see this, but as a little boy misbehaving I was punished by not being able to see it. Not until the 90s when I saw it in a video rental store, yes watched it and thought it was insanely stupid but I finally saw it.
Dang! That was exactly my experience. It must have been a repeat though BC it was about 1973 when I was punished for sneaking Coke from the fridge at age 7 by not being allowed to watch it on TV. Tragic, although I think the sounds would have given me nightmares. 😧
Saw this trailer in 1969 before a revival of Disney's '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.' I was 8. Never forgot the theme song, the space station on fire, 'faceless beings' and curiously, the tentacle in front of the camera at 1:24.
What do you get when you take an Italian space-opera story, add American actors, and use Japanese special effects? You guessed it. But the movie was still fun. When I saw it in the theater, they promoted it by giving out samples of the "Green Slime" (green watered-down jello with shiny flecks in it).You were supposed to take it home, put it on a window sill, and wait for it to turn into a monster. By the way, the best Italian space-opera ever was "The Demon Planet" (also known by other titles) starring Barry Sullivan. Intensely creepy with a surprise ending.
It was released in the U.S. as "Planet of the Vampires." Directed by Italian horrormeister Mario Bava and co-written by Ib Melchior ("Journey to the Seventh Planet," "The Time Travelers," "The Angry Red Planet").
Peter Krug Stella Star: So you see into the future. All these years you never told me. Think of all the trouble I might have avoided. Akton: You would have tried to change the future, which is against the law. So therefore I can tell you nothing. Love the movie starcrash and this movie too📚🤗
I was ten years old when I saw this one at a drive-in, and you cannot believe how bad (but funny as hell) this movie looked on a huge screen! The aliens in this picture are not only stupid looking, but stupid sounding as well-----and LOUD!
FELT BAD FOR DR HALVERSON, IF HE WOULD'VE FOLLOWED COMMANDER RANKIN'S ODERS AND NOT GONE BACK FOR HIS IMPORTANT PAPERS AND THE REST OF HIS WORK HE WOULD BE ALIVE BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR HIM HE DIED A VERY DANGEROUS AND HORRIBLE DEATH BY ELECTROCUTION AND BLOODY TOO WHEN LISA OPENED THE AIRLOCK PANEL DOOR THEY SEE HIS BURT AND BLOODY CORPSE FALLTO THE FLOOR😱😱😱😱😱😱

I had no interest in Westerns, was quite the young science fiction fan. Saw The Green Slime on a double feature with Rio Lobo (I think). I liked the Western more. : (
I watched this movie when I was 4 and I had nightmares every night for years. I will never forget this movie
So did I man
Me too ....finally found it
Me too! 😂
And now it's laughable
Never fails to amaze me that this movie came out the same year as 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Yes. One is very enjoyable and cool. The other has Hal 9000
I never thought about that, and that's amazing.
Saw this in 1970 (5 years old) and it traumatized me bad! about the time I got over it, Jaws came out and I was toast lol

Curiosity: this movie was written by Batman's creator, Bill Finger, the movie crediated bom as 'Willan Finger'.

The actually use the word "berserk" in the trailer voice over. Give that copywriter an award, and a best song Oscar for the theme.
GREEEEEN SLIIIIIIIIIME, GREEN SLIIIIIIME!
The Last Dinosaur, The Land that Time Forgot, and this movie. I loved watching these cheesy B-movies when I was little!
Wonderfully zany! Dig the funkadelic theme song!
I love that song!!
vicynyc me too 🎬
I remember watching this late night movie and it must’ve been 1980 of 81 but damn what crazy movie I really need to watch it again
Putting it on my watch list for next weekend 😂
Watched this at a drive-in, scary when I was 5.
Just saw this last night, special effects , monsters are hilarious !

Poor Robert Horton having to debase his massive talent for this low tripe.
Classic no doubt.
Tremenda película. Los seres muy graciosos. 😂😂😂😂
The director of this film is the same person who directed Battle Royale.

Why is the only green slime seen in the trailer in the title graphic? 🤣
1960's campiness at it's best'/!!!
Fun Fact: This movie was the first movie to be featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
I searched for this for the Jimi Hendrix style theme song. Trying to figure out who did it.
Looks cool!
It sure looks good

This was Toei's 1st ever Toku flick!
By very strict definition of the term "tokusatsu" (meaning "special effects") it's not even close to the first such movie they produced or released.
