Never thought about how the two clubs are similar when trying to hit high shots with a lob wedge, but after seeing your explanation and demonstration, I can see their similarities. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Practiced this yesterday and there was a light bulb moment for me. My driver draw came back with lower spin and perfect launch. I couldn’t really let it go completely but was getting the same distance as my nice fade but with less swing speed and effort. Actually I found that since embracing Stuart’s method for the last few weeks, I’m less dependant on my fade than before and getting straighter more neutral shots with a draw bias. It started with the wedges and nothing else worked, but then moved into short irons, then mid irons over several weeks. Longer irons, hybrids and driver just turned the corner yesterday pretty consistently. Except for driver though I do find the spin a little low for me on the longer stuff, more practice needed for sure.
No joke! Just a week ago, I was literally using my lob wedge and thinking about controlling the low point by pushing down on the handle like you advocate. Then I repeated it with my driver and smashed the ball a mile down the fairway. Then today I come across this video which confirmed the whole thing. Amazing! Thanks for this, keep up the great content!
Hi Stu, I've been watching your channel for a few weeks now and I have to say your explanation of the swing has been making a lot of sense! Thanks for sharing your insights! I remember hearing from Phil Mickelson's short game video the same thing that hitting good bunker shots has a carry over effect to improving the driver swing. I've also un- subscribed to the other UA-camr golf "instructors" after watching one of your videos about reducing golf instructional videos down to just one.. that hit home pretty good. Thanks for the great content and sharing your insights!
Thank you so much my friend, truly appreciate the kind feedback and the enjoyment your having from my content. Glad you've moved away from other channels, I predict great things ahead! Best wishes Stu
Interesting video Stu, makes a lot of sense. Like most other people, never linked these two thoughts together but a very simple concept and it’s pretty obvious now you’ve pointed it out. Love the channel mate, have sent so many links to your videos to playing partners to learn from. Best wishes
Thanks Nick, really appreciate the kind feedback and the sharing of my channel to other golfers, makes a difference to my reach for sure. Truly grateful. Great to see you pounding drives Thursday night! Have a great weekend my friend. Best wishes Stu 😊
@@GoodGolfCoachingThursday was good fun, won’t be the last time I join you for it. As for driving that night, I think you’ll find that’s good coaching. Sure I’ve heard that phrase somewhere before………….😂
Hi there buddy best most interesting and informative golf channel on the planet. Keep up with this high level of golfing tuition and you’ll will have the biggest following subscription. Your broom video is been the best lesson I’ve ever had for me. Although I use a wet spin mop 😂. Thanks Stu🥂👍🇦🇺
Thanks John, kind and humbling words my friend. Keeping on, keeping on to grow the channel and hopefully one day, it’s the “go-to” place to play the game at the highest level from beginner to tour player. Best wishes Stu 😊
How about a vid on equal and opposite. I feel it chimes so closely with the pressure down into the heel pad. In fact left hand has same feeling of pressure down regardless of whether I think heelpad pressure or opposing(twisty wet towel) pressure. Ive been messing with a bot of both for a few weeks with reasonable success. Less flippy through impact, and a much better feeling through delivery to finish. What are your thoughts? Live to hear your views in a vid.
Would you be able to elaborate on the “equal and opposite”? I can’t advise on what golfers feel or are doing, mainly because I’d simply be guessing. Best wishes Stu 😊
All of these shots where you pulling the energy mid body to release the club and loft.. are you swinging out then pulling to the center and facing the target? As oppose to the normal swing (pulling out then down around / front leg and facing the target? I can’t seem to get the sequenceing right compared to the nornal shot… Maybe i am making it to complicated😂
Hello Stu, another great video my friend, makes alot of sense, luv starting my day watching your videos, I learn so much, hope you're doing well my friend, till next time, stay safe Stu, take care.
Well this is a little off topic. But I played yesterday and I hit my driver great, thanks to you. But I was hitting my irons fat. My thoughts are that I wasn't keeping the club head above my hands on the way down. What would your thoughts be. Thanks Patrick
I am the typical “good iron striker, rubbish with the driver. My pb round was down with the driver left in the locker. “Swinging like a lob wedge” !? That might be the swing thought to cure my driver. 😮

Another good video Stu! Never thought about it like that!!
Bingo, mission accomplished. Let me know how you get on! Best wishes Stu
......hmmm........very interesting....... I'll be working on my 250 yard flop shot 😊......thanks Stu ⛳🍺
Do it, I dare you Gary 😂
Very interesting, I'll try it out right away.😊
Fantastic to hear, please let me know how you get on, good and bad! Best wishes Stu
Top content yet again Stu 👍
Thank you Clayton. Really appreciate it my friend.
Yes….. another novel concept. Well more of an explanation of AoA than a concept…… really relatable thanks Stu👍
Thanks Andy! Glad you dropped the concept 😂😂
@@GoodGolfCoaching knew I’d get grief for saying that 😀
At least you knew it was coming HAHAHA!

The 'Cowen' twisty wet towel handle stable face idea.
I’ll leave that to Pete 😊

I would advise you to watch leg action and lag videos Pat. I would be guessing what it could be sadly, and I don’t do guessing 😂 Best wishes Stu 😊
This is priceless but really hard to do
More practice. 😊
I think that concept could apply to all golf clubs isnt it?
Not really, as you wouldn’t want a light angle of attack with a 7iron, PW, 5iron etc…
This is what I tried to convey recently in my comment that to me, a well-hit driver feels like a bunker splash shot’😂
I do remember Chris :) Best wishes Stu
