Why did Aurangzeb attacked Shivaji Maharaj and tortured him? Shivaji only wanted to save his state and religion from outsiders. But Aurangzeb wanted to build a Mughal empire in whole India. He also wanted Shivaji Maharaj to change his religion. Can you explain why? Changing religion should be a personal choice, then why the muslim rulers forcefully converted Indian people? Indian people never went to their country and never forced them. I know that there were some good rulers also, but most of the Muslim rulers did so. I don't hate Muslims, so please don't misunderstand me and kindly try to see the history from the perspective of India.
