Hey Justin,Thanks for the tutorial. I am using an Elektron Analog Rytm as drum module triggered by my old Yamaha e-kit. Considering selling the Rytm to fund either an AD5, 2Box Drumit Three, or save for a long while for a Pearl Mimic Pro. I'd like to know more about the 2Box.The AD5 seems great, but as you've mentioned I'd like to be able to adjust a few more parameters than they allow. I do all my recording with hardware. I was wondering if connecting the AD5 to pc for something like EZ Drummer without a DAW would be latency free and the outputs go to my Roland VS Recorder? AThanks!!
Hey Justin, Great video, this module seems to be user friendly & easy to navigate. I see that it uses a cable snake, did you find the cables to be long enough? Thanks for walking me through this module interface.
Jay Felton I have one and yes no problems with snake check my channel for some drum covers with it great module
you should do a review of the XM b10 8sr electronic drum kit.
+DARRON117 When I get to play one I'll make a video for sure
Hi Justin!
Thanx for great videos!
Do you have any solution for multitrack aD5 recording?
If yes, please make the video about it. Thanx in advance.
I don't have a solution to that yet but I'll keep it in mind :)
Thanx alot Justin! May force be with you! ))
Could you do a review or first impressions on the Alesis Forge Kit?
I plan on releasing a video about it as soon as I play it. The demos look good. I've played with different versions of that same hardware, and it seems like a solid kit.
Thank you Justin for introducing us to atv. Just sold a td-50k. Hated the dusty, ugly and noisy rack with the hundred cables, the small floorpad and crashes, and paying for 90% options that I am not able to use. You can land on the moon with Roland, but I just want a small fourpiece kit with real drums(ounds) & two large cymbals without the stadium metal attack on all drums.
Lol 🤣 I love my atv stuff, Roland was a synthetic nightmare
I can’t seem to find any info on Ad5 and Alesis PRO X hi-hat. Is it supposed to work? Have at TD-17 and it works like a charm. In the ad5 not so much
what did updating the version do for you.Getting a sd card tommorow hopefully this fixes my midi issues.
They sent it to me with the update already installed. Midi worked for me, I triggered EZdrummer 2 with it.
justin have you seen the alexis strike pro kit! i really want it!
Its not out yet,no one has gotton to play it yet. But it looks good
FYI im a big fan. i play drums, I've been playing for almost 6 years. I'm 12 now.
+DARRON117 Thanks man! You have a huge head start on me. I only started playing when I was 12
Hey justin! How many pads and cymbals can you connect to this module please answer
10
Hey Justin how does this module react when cymbal swells are played and positional sensing on the snare
+Charlie Tedeschi I do not believe it has positional something. The cymbals sound very good, but I didn't try swells honestly because I never use them when I drum.
can you split the aux inputs to add two pads per input?
Not sure if the module will let you send different sounds to those split imputs if you do go that route.
Yea man you can spilt them
atv is a japnese company right? i wonder how can i buy one in asia.. ive been looking it up and i cant seem to find a music store which carries this item in asia to hopefully to lessen the shipping cost.. aside from goint to japan i dont know where to buy one.. any ideas?
ATV was founded by a bunch of ex roland people. It's a japanese company. I've talked to the people that run it, very nice guys. Have you tried ebay? that might be a good option
I updated using a usb on td25 to smaller usb on ad5 both on channel 10 pad note # all the same but not reading it. I wonder if usb computer to usb computer aka small usb i was referring to.
You have both modules assigned to the same channel?
When i got this module i didn't know it came with an sd card so i went out and got a 32 gig sd card before it came so i'm using that card but i realize it was probably overkill and the 8 gig card would have been fine. :)
Justin you need to head over to roland's channel, they just dropped videos for the td-50 and it's lookin very nice👌
+Antonio Boswell Oh believe me, I've been following the news very carefully. It looks really good
Can you custom tune each drum?
Nope :(
nothing to tweak the sounds .. not liking this but i liked your video ..saved me some money!!!
+John D Robinson This module is for a certain drummer demographic. As for me, I want more control over my sounds
