Blind Faith is one of the first super groups. Clapton and Ginger Baker from Cream. The great Steve Winwood from Traffic and Rick Gretch from Family. They had 1 album and 1 tour. I was lucky enough to see them 7/69 at MSG. Awesome show. The band Free opened up the show along with B&D and Friends. The ticket was for 6 bucks
when the 60's&70's was happening i don't believe we realized just how lucky we were to have this level of talent from sooooo many different bands and artists which i don't believe will ever be repeated. people don't seem to be near as creative now that we are bombarded with way too much and don't have the need to create and think and dream as all these artists did.
They only did one album but all of the songs (except for maybe the drum solo song - depends on your tolerance for drum solos, LOL) are solid and worth a listen.
'Had To Cry Today' and 'Can't Find My Way Home' are standout songs from this album. Steve Winwood and Clapton are very close friends. Clapton enjoys playing with friends and musicians he respects.
Please do Blind Faith, 'Can't Find My Way Home'. This is a supergroup w/Steve Winwood & Eric Clapton., they only did this one album. Steve Winwood can sing anything, he's an icon.
You've gotta believe as a marine it was he that put my brother soldier African American that threw me over his shoulder and brought me back to safety 🪖🇺🇸
so many bangers on one release....had to cry today....Winwood on vocals/keys, ec on guitars, ginger baker on drums & Ric Grech on bass....one album & done band....
More Steve Winwood please. Blind Faith did one album and one tour. During their tour, Clapton began playing with their opening band, Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett. When the BF tour was over, Clapton went on tour with them and brought along George Harrison. The backing band of D&B became the core of Derek and the Dominoes, which recorded Layla and Other Love Songs, one of the great albums of all time. There are some amazing videos of Clapton and Harrison playing with Delaney and Bonnie. Here's a link to one, "Coming Home" -- ua-cam.com/video/aazChqk4U-c/v-deo.html.
As always, the music part of their action is great but your words at the end of great as well. You pretty much describe myself quite closely, even though I am a six-year-old white dude. Musician for life. We all think about these things as we go through life don't we? And you said it quite well. I just have a feeling be fun to have a beer with you or whatever
A song that has gotten more spiritual meaning during the time and you can hear the gospel - influences on the piano, perhaps via Ray Charles Stevie Winwood being a huge fan. Unfortunately the band was not given time to mature before they were thrown to a massive tour. All though the musicians had solid backround, especially Stevie Winwood and Eric Clapton felt that they weren't enough together, leading to uneven performances.
From the same era and with some overlap of musicians and era with Traffic, check out this spooky2 song where Gary Wright was the lead singer but they had some incredible stuff. Check out cotton-growing man,
Try ‘Can’t Find My Way Home - Electric version’ . Everybody does the original acoustic , which is great , nobody listens to the electric version which is ace also .
Love eric Clapton and his bands! You gotta start reacting to him live! It is such a different experience then his studio songs and he has amazing live solos. Plus he sounds better live in my opinion:)
What a shame that this is the only album that Blind Faith made. Blind Faith consisted of Eric and drummer Ginger Baker from Cream, bassist Rick Grech from Traffic, and of course the legendary vocalist and keyboardist Steve Winwood, also from Traffic.
The song isn't about the Christian God or Jesus. Clapton wrote the song after reading a book about the Persian religion Zoroastrianism while kicking heroin. The book was given to him by The Beatles guitar player George Harrison.
Clapton and Steve Winwood together again! But it just wasn't meant to be as Blind Faith only recorded one album. Regardless, that one album should be in everyone's collection.
Really appreciate you going for Blind Faith Baker and Clapton together are always just too good, but again even better live ua-cam.com/video/F7ADa0l9k0A/v-deo.html thats the live concert 69 in Hyde Park, beautiful stuff, just watch it on a sunny day and travel time I especially love the versions of Cant find my way Home, Had to Cry today and Sea of Joy, there is so much good stuff though But they cut Gingers solo short :// ua-cam.com/video/5hEzjaEpprs/v-deo.html Thats the full studio drumsolo/song
not to get too far from the music - which this is all about! - but Spirit/God/what one prefers to call it is very different from religion. I think you're kind of saying that. Ck out "My God" from Jethro Tull some time
John 20:24 , says this is blind faith. Look. 25The other disciples told him, "We've seen the Lord." Thomas told them, "I refuse to believe this unless I see the nail marks in his hands, put my fingers into them, and put my hand into his side." 26A week later Jesus' disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27Then Jesus said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Take your hand, and put it into my side. Stop doubting, and believe." 28Thomas responded to Jesus, "My Lord and my God!" 29Jesus said to Thomas, "You believe because you've seen me. Blessed are those who haven't seen me but believe."
"Can't Find My Way Home" from this album will hit you in the feels.
.
I agree 👍
J
Yes, this.
This entire album is incredible!
Word!!❤❤❤

Ol' Stevie WinWord singing, a formidable organist, guitar player and songwriter. Gotta do "Can't Find My Way Home". The masses demand it!
'Can't Find My Way Home" has so much meaning for me....
I'm probably dating myself, but I listened to this non stop in the late 60's! Loved it then and love it now 😊 great reaction 😊
Sounds fun.

As usual, your commentary about the song adds so much to hearing this great music. Thanks, Biz.
They only did one album but all of the songs (except for maybe the drum solo song - depends on your tolerance for drum solos, LOL) are solid and worth a listen.
'Do what you like' (which is what I'm assuming you mean) is the highlight of the album:)
'Had To Cry Today' and 'Can't Find My Way Home' are standout songs from this album. Steve Winwood and Clapton are very close friends.
Clapton enjoys playing with friends and musicians he respects.
The first recognized rock SUPER GROUP. Blind Faith. The voice of Steve Winwood. Guitar of Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker on drums. Rick Gretch on bass.
Please do Blind Faith, 'Can't Find My Way Home'. This is a supergroup w/Steve Winwood & Eric Clapton., they only did this one album. Steve Winwood can sing anything, he's an icon.
One of the first Super groups for sure.
You've gotta believe as a marine it was he that put my brother soldier African American that threw me over his shoulder and brought me back to safety 🪖🇺🇸
Thanks for this one!
ERIC WAS IN ALLLLLLLLLLLL THE BANDS!!! LMFAO :) I LOVE THAT! YEAH 5-6 BEFORE HE STARTED UP HIS OWN IN 70 BIZ :) AMAZINGGGG AND INSANE MY FRIEND!
2 other great songs from this album are SEA OF JOY and CAN’T FIND MY WAY HOME.
It's about time you got to Blind Faith
@@noclouds111 I thought I did, and assumed it was ignored like everything else.
so many bangers on one release....had to cry today....Winwood on vocals/keys, ec on guitars, ginger baker on drums & Ric Grech on bass....one album & done band....
Stevie in Blind Faith and Traffic paved the road for a lot of great artists. My fav is Low Spark Of The High Heeled Boys. Check it out!

Tedeschi Trucks Band does a great cover of Coming Home. ua-cam.com/video/iTEPXC428wI/v-deo.html
Supergroup that only made the one album. I'll echo others and say "Can't Find My Way Home" is a must listen tune from this album.
Cant wait to see your response. Look up the original cover. It would get them arrested today!!
Can't find my way home is the definitive blind faith song.....
As always, the music part of their action is great but your words at the end of great as well. You pretty much describe myself quite closely, even though I am a six-year-old white dude. You're only six? lol
Great band!

This was during clapton's heroin period, and some believe his best work came from then
Great band and great album! You should do the whole thing! Eric Clapton, Stevie Winwood, and Ginger Baker!
"Do What You Like" from this album will blow you away! It's a long one but...........🙂
YOU CAN JUST FEEL ERIC'S PRESENCE HAHAHA, CAN'T YA!!! :) JUST GREAT STUFF
Try ‘Can’t Find My Way Home - Electric version’ . Everybody does the original acoustic , which is great , nobody listens to the electric version which is ace also .
How about both?
I’ll echo everyone else! “Can’t Find My Way Home” is a great song from “Cream”🎸🎼🎤🔥
Do what you iike really shows of the individual talents of the band
Gospel is the BEST! I'm not religious either, but if you are going to praise God, I bet Gospel music would be Gods favorite.
Eric Clapton and Steve winwood and ric grech and ginger baker on drums a supergroup at that time ... Steve is singing this song ...
One album gig... Clapton and Winwood, magical and too short.
Do the whole album!
Love eric Clapton and his bands! You gotta start reacting to him live! It is such a different experience then his studio songs and he has amazing live solos. Plus he sounds better live in my opinion:)

Can't Find My Way Home has to be next.
I've dropped the needle on this album and not touched it till it hit paper. Both sides! That's real
Clapton and Steve Winwood together again! But it just wasn't meant to be as Blind Faith only recorded one album. Regardless, that one album should be in everyone's collection.
I love this song! Blind Faith only made one album.
Blind faith supergroup one and done, not the original album cover BTW
Days when LSD changed America.
Blind faith would be believing in something that you can't see. Like 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight".
Really appreciate you going for Blind Faith
Baker and Clapton together are always just too good, but again even better live
ua-cam.com/video/F7ADa0l9k0A/v-deo.html thats the live concert 69 in Hyde Park, beautiful stuff, just watch it on a sunny day and travel time
I especially love the versions of Cant find my way Home, Had to Cry today and Sea of Joy, there is so much good stuff though
But they cut Gingers solo short ://
ua-cam.com/video/5hEzjaEpprs/v-deo.html
Thats the full studio drumsolo/song
Blindfaith was two people from cream and two people from traffic
The cover your looking at was the back the front cover was banned
Check out Meat Loaf's version. It's really good.
not to get too far from the music - which this is all about! - but Spirit/God/what one prefers to call it is very different from religion. I think you're kind of saying that. Ck out "My God" from Jethro Tull some time
A great song on a even greater album but don't search for the cover art or you might end up on a FBI watch list, lol
John 20:24 , says this is blind faith. Look.

Song Makes Me Weep
.
I understand not being religious. Religion has murdered WAY too many people in this world.
