Very impressive. As a guy in his fifties who grew up playing traditional musical instruments, it is continually amazing to me to learn the ways in which hardware and software are used as musical instruments by today's young generation.
I would totally want to hear that collab turn into a full track 🖐🏼 That was an incredible beat. And thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! Also... you’re keyboard technique is getting better! You’re playing looked super clean with that piano loop.
Just found this video and by minute 4, I've liked and subscribed. You seem rad. And you get to the point, no BS. Great video learned a bunch. Looking forward to checking out your other content. Cheers.
As a software engineer who used to share an office with splice but is currently too poor to think much about money because I had spent the last year+ trying to bootstrap a startup in the audio world (products to improve the experience of listening to music for those with hearing impairment)... I have all the feels from that intro.
“Are you starting to regret not taking your parents advice of going to college for software engineering and now your too poor to even think about money?” Never in my life have i ever related to something so specific! Had to subscribe off that alone. What a sign to keep going! Right Brain 4L 🤟🏾
yesss, that tambourine boombap beat is really cool in your beat! Love the mini-cymbals of the tambourine in there, they are kinda slow which is cool. Loved to listen to the progress :-) Thumbs up.
Man layering two unrelated instruments together is a really underrated technique to get phat sounds. Like a resonant synth pad with a Rhodes. You can get sounds you never would have come up with on your own, I love doing it.
I subbed and liked 20 seconds in to the video. First video I've watched from you and the intro already has you up on the top of my list of people to watch now 🤣
Was looking for background music for school assignments and found your musics in UA-cam Audio Library, you have awesome collections and I might be using more in the future. Thanks for sharing! :D
This was excellent! Thanks for your inspiring breakdown. You are very talented and that’s a groove right there. Also Akeishein is deep! A rare quality in rappers today. However her IG is non existent. Would love to hear more from you both.
Ha! I did the engineering school route but ended up making beats (and YT vids) anyway. The music making compulsion is too strong! Loved the beat and got the warm tingles down my spine when the vocals came in at the end. Please keep going with this--it's great!
I can see you have alot of hardware synths. Could you please do a gear/studio tour of yours and also tell us why you picked the particular gear you have?
love love the bass -- ive never been satisfied w my shitty simple sine type basses. Never had the right character to them. but gotta try something like that!!
As someone who makes bedtime beats before bed, what's the best way for me to learn chords. I've been learning with rule of 5ths, and sometimes it clicks and sometimes it doesn't. Thank you for the excellent content!
Please finish this. Could vibe to this all day
