Mahito fought against Todo for Yuji's soul, Mahito wanted to break him and Todo did everything to support his brother. And even tho Woogie Boogie is gone, Todo won his fight. Truly a great brother, and the MVP, I know Yuji finished Mahito, but Todo was just built different.

Fun fact: This is the only fight ever where Mahito was actually able to utilize his domain properly (by transfiguring Todo's hand and threatening Sukuna). In the first fight against Nanami and Yuji, his domain got shattered by Sukuna and in the second fight against Mechamaru, his domain got shattered again by Kokichi's simple domain before Mahito could do anything in his own domain.
Actually in the Mechamaru fight mahito states that he shattered his domain to make it look like if he was killed by kokichi's attack so he could attack him latter, but he did it willingly
I also agree with that, because it wasn't just the final form I was dissapointed with but also the Domain Expansion's of him and the other Disaster Curse Spirit's, after 3 attempts of Mahito using his Domain, he wasn't able to kill nobody in his field except by ruining Aoi Todo, for Dagon I think he was just playing with his food a little bit, which was why he soon got outsmarted by Megumi and later killed by Toji Fushiguro, as with Jogo I can't really blame him for his Domain Expansion failure because it was against Gojo Satoru, and finally Hanami I was even more upset because we couldn't even see it at all. This is going to sound a little cruel, but I'm a little thankful that his useless Self-Embodiment of Perfection did something useful.
I'm kinda sad we never got to see Jogo's domain used successfully against someone,he only used it against Gojo and obviously didn't work. One of my favourites domain expansion
2:27 Seeing Todo almost dying to Mahito's Black Flash even after protecting his stomach with all his cursed energy makes me wonder how durable Itadori's body really is. Bro got hit with a Black Flash too when he was at his lowest, didn't even defend himself and it didn't seem to hurt him that much tbh. I even doubt he protected his body with CE since at that point he completely gave up on fighting
he is genuinely built different, however we know that it definetely hurt a lot since mahito says his soul is at 10% a bit later into the fight, granted that yuji got beat up after the black flash but it was still the strongest punch he took in that fight, still i don´t think the difference between todo and itadori in durability is that big, just dramatic effect imo

Mahito's VA did such a good job making him as hateable and annoying as possible, so him getting completely pummeled and his moans of fear upon facing certain death felt all the sweeter.
gege, gets bored with non-protagonist character easily, so he removes them from his story after he is done with them. that is his biggest dilema. you will see this pattern in his manga. He will also change some of the hairstyle of these characters just to give him a fresh look, he keeps on creating non-memorable character in the future, which is also one of his biggest dilema.

The interesting part about yuji is that unlike most of his friends like megumi, nobara, gojo, maki, etc, who, whenever are against the wall, turn to their more psychotic and sadistic side as a way to deal with the situation, yuji does the complete opposite, and as a result ends up looking legitimately terrifying rather than insane. His demeanor goes from violent outbursts to a restrained and cold hatred, in fact (and this is a bit of a spoiler) later on in the series we get a look at how yuji dealt with bullies and punks, and when compared with megumi and nobara, who definitely had a more comedic tone when it came to their experiences, it looked like yuji was 100% ready to seriously injure them, and it was played completely straight, no jokes, no comedy, nothing. It goes to show that he always had a more sinister side, it didn't just appear during the junpei incident, it was already there.

Todo's character development is truly impeccable. He went from being introduced as a stereotypical bully to becoming the greatest mentor in the series.

This season deserves anime of the year, the pacing and consistency when it comes to the action fights and suspense is just too great. Mahito is definitely one of the best villains in new gen anime.
Although Todo losing his hand sucks, with the sheer variety of Cursed Techniques in the world along with Positive Cursed Energy, I'm sure there's some way for Todo to get his hand back. I mean, didn't Gojo grow a whole-ass arm back one time?
Yes Gojo did get half of his arm back when Mahoraga cutted his arm but for Todo I don't think he can grow his hand again using RCT because that only heals physical wounds and Todos wounds is spiritual wounds because of idle transfiguration and Mahito is the only one that can only heal souls(There's no other characters that are known to heal soul wounds till now)

I pretty much dropped the series after Shibuya arc in the manga but still the scene of Mahito's breakdown in realizing he couldn't break Yuji still really is well done

And instead of showing characters talking, training, overall interacting out of combat, Gege decided to put that month into a time skip and jumped straight into the final fight of the whole series. That's the biggest issue for me.

The interesting part about yuji is that unlike most of his friends like megumi, nobara, gojo, maki, etc, who, whenever are against the wall, turn to their more psychotic and sadistic side as a way to deal with the situation, yuji does the complete opposite, and as a result ends up looking legitimately terrifying rather than insane. His demeanor goes from violent outbursts to a restrained and cold hatred, in fact (and this is a bit of a spoiler) later on in the series we get a look at how yuji dealt with bullies and punks, and when compared with megumi and nobara, who definitely had a more comedic tone when it came to their experiences, it looked like yuji was 100% ready to seriously injure them, and it was played completely straight, no jokes, no comedy, nothing. It goes to show that he always had a more sinister side, it didn't just appear during the junpei incident, it was already there.

Yes Gojo did get half of his arm back when Mahoraga cutted his arm but for Todo I don't think he can grow his hand again using RCT because that only heals physical wounds and Todos wounds is spiritual wounds because of idle transfiguration and Mahito is the only one that can only heal souls(There's no other characters that are known to heal soul wounds till now)

And instead of showing characters talking, training, overall interacting out of combat, Gege decided to put that month into a time skip and jumped straight into the final fight of the whole series. That's the biggest issue for me.

I assume you mean Mechamaru? Mahito didn't undo his Heavenly Restriction. He just used his CT to transfigure Mechamaru's body to tip top shape. Mechamaru still had his Heavenly Restriction, just not the bodily side effects that came with it.
